Explosive Exhaust Systems

The service was fast, but what irritated me and soured the entire experience was the misquote. I called ahead to ask how much to install a complete bolt-​on exhaust system (which I brought in complete with all necessary hardware) to replace my stocker and was told $ 50. Upon arriving the guy confirmed his initial quote, however after my car was already up on the lift and part of the exhaust already removed another personnel pressumably the manager (or even worse, the owner) halted the job and said it was going to cost me $ 100 instead since it wasn’t a muffler install but a full catback system! Wow, seriously?!? I understand him explaining his employee gave me a misquote but it is bad business to not honour your initial quote and leave your customer literally hanging. Although he did offer to put back the stock if i was in disagreement with the new price, the whole experience stanked and this will be the last time I’ll give this place my business — they just lost a prospective customer who could’ve brought them more business and a good word of mouth.
