ABSOLUTELYFANTASTIC! I was in Las Vegas on business and I don’t like to eat at the«tourist» style food stops on the strip. I had the Shrimp El Fish Taco Costra and the El Fish Taco. Both were obviously made fresh and were absolutely delicious! The staff was extremely nice and the food was outstanding! I would highly recommend a visit when in the Las Vegas area!

Nice and clean place all the dishes are super modern but the silverware may need improvement to to match the plates service is very good but need a little bit improvement to be perfect will you know they serve alcohol without menu or without anybody tell you anything. There was out of lobster but we can understand that the happen . the fresh guacamole no good choice the worst thing in the menu yeah it’s fresh but only tomatoes and avocados small portion not worth the $ 7 . Agachilis very very spice I know is a Mexican joint but pls heads up do not assume it will be OK. . It have a outdoor sitting perfect when the weather improve will be back I would like to see deep fried fish on the menu …

Got a groupon for this restaurant and was really impressed. We went after lunch so it was slow but I loved the feel of this place. The food is the true star here though. You kinda have to love sea food, that is what most of their menu consists of. The owner was there and was able to explain the menu to me and my husband. They have homemade Mexican horchata and Jamaica, both pare fabulous! One of the stars of the meal was the side of beans. I know… Beans? But really they are to die for! Don’t pass them up. Other than that order what looks good because you honestly can’t go wrong. I’m so happy that Groupon led me there because I will definitely be back. They also started serving alcohol now and will be having a Valentines special. So stop reading and head on over!

This restaurant appeared on my radar when I found a Groupon so we decided to visit on a Sunday prior to seeing a show at the Smith Center. My wife and I ordered a total of 4 tacos,(2) El Fish(shrimp, black beans, avocado and chipolte cream,(1) Al pastor,(fish filet with scallions, onions and grilled pineapple) and(1) poblano(fish filet with poblano rojas, corn and sour cream). While we waited for the tacos to be prepared, our waitress gave us a sample of their fish soup. I was somewhat disappointed in the flavor of the poblano taco, but the 2 other varieties were fresh tasting. We also shared a strawberry crème brulee which was more very soft and bathed in cream.

MYGODTHISPLACEISAMAZING! I ordered the shrimp burrito, shrimp ceviche and horchata to go. While I waited, I was given some shrimp soup in the cutest little bowl and while I was initially hesitant to try it, after one sip I downed it like it was my first drink on a hot summers day! So good! When I returned home with my food and took that first bite of the burrito, literal ecstasy inside my mouth. The burrito was overloaded with shrimp, so much so that I made little tacos out of the remainders with the tortillas provided. The ceviche! So mouthwatering and delicious! The right amount of seasonings, shrimp and cucumbers. I barely used the crackers provided and just simply inhaled it with a fork. All the food was AMAZEBALLS! Definitely recommend!

My boyfriend and I had El Fish Taco bookmarked since we saw all of its great reviews and for our love of tacos. We were excited when we finally came in. We were expecting the typical taqueria, but it’s actually a casual sit-down restaurant. Once you walk in, they allow you to select your own seating, then they come to you with the menus. Woah, the menu is priceeeyyy! The tacos are $ 3+ EACH omg. lol I mean, they do have some interesting/bizzare tacos you wont find really anywhere else, but its still pretty pricey. I opted for the Surf & Turf Taco, and since many people on Unilocal enjoy their«Costras» I also ordered the Al Pastor Shrimp Costra. What’s a Costra? It’s like a melted grilled cheese taco with your choice of meat. It was decent. The two didn’t fill me up so I also ordered the Fish & Chips Taco.(I ordered tacos I thought were interesting). My boyfriend got the Chipotle Shrimp Burrito. Everything tasted good, but they definitely are not worth the price. Tbh, I would rather opt for a cheaper joint with good tacos. if they drop their prices to typical prices, we may come back, but we both agreed its just too much for okay food

Not from Vegas but was driving thru. Was just going to grab something on the strip, but decided to give this a try. Blown away. Best fish tacos I’ve ever had… the el fish taco was excellent. Poblano was great. I didn’t try the costras but my dad did. He said«best food in Vegas». Do try something with the chipotle sauce. It’s great. Service was also excellent.

You have to give this place a try. It’s different than anything else in town, in a good way. If you love seafood there is a great selection… If not, they have other meats. They don’t skimp on the chunks of lobster, octopus, etc. Excellent service and atmosphere too!

I don’t know how many 5 star ratings I’ve given. not many I’m sure, this deserves it. these tacos are the best I’ve had in vegas. at first I was skeptical, i ordered two tacos and they put the sauce on the side. probably because I’m white and the waiter said it was spicy. he looked really surprised when i asked for more hot sauce. and to be honest they should never assume because the sauces is what make this place so much better than their competition. the chipotle sauce they use is too good to even describe. ask for extra you’ll be glad you did. I swear some people rate places five stars because they were starving and they think its the best when really they would say anything was the best… not in my case i went to El pollo loco first. and as i was leaving was still hungry. one bite and i immediately regretted el pollo loco. and i love el pollo!!!

The food at this place is on point. It’s pretty new but I’ve already eaten here several times. Everything is very tasty and prepared fresh. It’s a la carte style and you are able to try multiple things for a decent price. The owners came and asked our opinion on both visits, which I thought was nice. I’ll definitely be going back. My advice would be to save room for the dulce de Leche crepes. They are on point.

We have passed this place many times and wanted to check it out so when we found a groupon for them we decided to check them out. The places is small but nicely decorated and very clean. The waitress was very friendly and provided good feedback when we had questions on what something was or how she liked it. She was very attentive and pleasant. I am guessing the guy frequenting the tables was the owner he was very nice asking everyone if they enjoyed their meal, if it was their first time, and invited them to return when they were leaving. This place oozes hospitality! The food was just as good as the service, it was served hot, fresh and in a timely manner. I really love their food it’s different from most taco places they have this volcano toco that has the meat of your choice fried cheese on top and this tasty sauce on top, my husband couldn’t stop raving about the Tortilla soup with shrimp in it. To finish off the meal I ordered the Nutella crepes which were yummy I just wish the Nutella taste was a little more present in the dish I tasted more chocolate with a hint of the hazelnut flavor I love so much! But it was delicious either way The guy I am assuming the owner advised when I return to try the Carmel one which is made with Mexican Carmel. The only thing I would change about this place is to replace can soda’s for a soda machine.

I am so glad I found this place! I’m not big on seafood in general, but my boyfriend is obsessed, and I DO love a good fish taco. Which, if that’s what you are looking for, is one of the highlights of this restaurant. Even upon first impression, the restaurant is impressive. Whoever decorated did a wonderful job; it reminds me of a little cozy café. We tried to eat a little of everything but definitely need to make another trip soon. We tried four different tacos — El Fish Taco, Fish and Chips taco, Octopus taco and Baja taco. I tried all except the octopus and they were amazing. The restaurant really uses the seafood flavors to make the food delicious, rather than covering it up with unnecessary spices and such. I also tried a carne asada gordita, which was delicious. I only wish it had some cheese sprinkled in it or something extra. My boyfriend also ordered the mixed ceviche, which he proclaimed amazing(and he’s picky about these things). I tried to juice part of it with a cracker and it was actually very good. Their salsas are also a highlight — delicious and very spicy! And since we were there for lunch our tacos were part of the lunch special and we got some delicious Jamaica(hibiscus juice). On top of everything else, we received excellent service. Both servers were so kind, and very prompt with our orders. I will definitely come here again because there are lots of other things I want to try!

Everything we had was delicious and well prepared. Each taco comes with the matching salsa especially prepared for the dish. Carpas with langosta amazing. The crêpe with cajeta was great ! *the music was in Spanish and it was soft rock pop*

El Fish Taco is a taco, burrito, tostada restaurant located in East-ish Las Vegas by McCarran and UNLV. They advertise their seafood dishes a la «fish» tacos and their agua frescas aka fresh waters like Jamaica and Horchata. They have a $ 4.99 two taco and fresh water lunch special that my best friend has been raving about. I stopped in for dinner to a mostly empty restaurant. I think it’s super cute. The cuteness even overflowed into the presentation of the food. They have baskets with different hot sauces in them on the tables, a wood plank theme, and outside seating. They had one server working whom also did hostess duties, and presumably some kitchen work. The prices are very fair. They have unique items, the food is fresh, and the space is updated. Most of the tacos were $ 3.50-$ 4.50 depending on the ingredients used. Having a couple would definitely satisfy a light lunch or dinner. The complimentary fish soup comes out in a metal shot glass with a handle and tastes delicious with a squirt of lime to give it some freshness. The food came out on a wooden plank/tray with the tacos on holders. I believe the tortillas were house made by the way they looked: rustic and imperfectly round. The food was good with the tostado being my favorite. It was topped with a cream sauce and loaded with a diced octopus, onion, and citrus mixture. The poblano taco had grilled fish, corn, and poblano peppers. The other taco was spicy with chorizo, potato, and shrimp. The shrimp was a little over cooked so the flavors were a little muddled but I still enjoyed it. With a horchata my total was close to $ 15. For 4 items I say that’s not bad at all. Would I return? Yes. The price is right, they have captivated my taste buds to try the whole menu, and the food was good. I can’t say much about service because I didn’t need much. They set a cute pitcher on the table and napkins were in the basket so I was pretty easy to deal with. With that said the lady working was pleasant. My one negative was the horchata. It had an unfamiliar floral flavor to it that was off putting. I didn’t even drink half of the small cup. Being a first timer it would have been nice if they explained which salsas to eat the tacos with, as they served a red and green salsa next to my tacos. Aside from those two things I listed I can’t give them a five because there was a some wow factor missing from the food. It was good but not amazing.

Surprised: Clean, new, upscale-looking fish taco place in a run down area. Limited menu with a variety of tostadas, tacos, burritos, and some lobster options. Served a shiny silver cup of complimentary seafood soup, tasty! Confused: Despite the name, menu has a few tostadas but only two tacos, neither of which are actually fish tacos. Both contain shrimp? At least you get to specify your preference of corn or flour tortillas. Impressed: The octopus tostada is beautiful! Gorgeous shreds of bright purple cabbage, plentiful chopped octopus, bright green avocado slices, and a drizzle of mojo mayo! Taste was fresh, not too acidic, large portion for the price. Disappointed: The tacos, both shrimp, were just okay. One had grilled peppers and onions, the other had black beans and rice. Shrimp itself was bland. Considering tacos are their namesake dish, they need more of them on the menu and better flavor. For starters, grill your shrimp. Satisfied(with service): Minor issue with billing, charged $ 5.50 for a taco listed as $ 3.50 on the menu. Pointed it out to friendly male server, who apologized and refunded the difference cash promptly. Check your receipt to be on the safe side.
