This review will be purely for amazing customer service. Last night I came in at 9pm to do a MoneyGram for my rent. I usually go to Albertson’s next door since they had an actual teller who does it and they accept card, but they close at 8, so I opted for CVS since they’re 24hr services with MoneyGram. Got inside and went ahead an used the self kiosk, and it told me to go up to the register to pay, and little did I know, they only accepted cash… The lady who helped me was Kim. She went above and beyond, finding out my name and letting me know that my information will stay in the system and they could help me tomorrow if I was having trouble getting cash today. I told her I needed to get it done before the next day so since I didn’t have cash I went to another location hoping they accepted debit card. I was having problems there, so instead I got cash and came back to CVS for Kim’s great service and used the MoneyGram there.

Store was laid out like any typical CVS, but inventory seemed spotty in a few sections — bottled water in the fridge was disorganized and not a lot of selection left. I wanted to get a deck of cards for my son, and most of them were sold out, the remaining ones hung on random racks with mismatched pricing. None of this would have been too bad — still a solid three stars for sure since I got what I needed — but for the cashier at the end of my visit. She asked for my photo ID when I paid with my credit card. That’s fine. She carefully checked the 10 year old picture on my drivers license, looked at me, back at the picture, then said«What happened to YOU?» What happened is that I aged ten years, got more gray hair, gained a few pounds. It’s great to know that when you visit CVS, you get your appearance judged for free. BONUS!

So I got a severe cold while visiting Las Vegas(glad I didn’t pick up anything worse than a cold… eh? eh?) Oh, Las Vegas… Anyway. Although the place is a little run down(c’mon, off the strip, which place isn’t right?), I was able to find the cold medicine, walk straight up to the register, check out, take my medicine(I took in in the car and pretended I was a Vegas addict gettin’ his fix) then drive off to grab breakfast for the kiddos. Prices are decent(they didn’t seem any higher than I’d expect to pay for cold and flu medicines). I like ANY store where I can find what I need, then get out. What I thought was really cool was, one day after Valentine’s day, they had already marked down all of their Valentine’s day candy and decorations down! How cool is that… you could seriously find a way to avoid your Valentine all day on Valentine’s day, then mosey on into CVS, purchase discounted Valentine’s goodies, take your Valentine out for«sorry it’s late, but let’s do something awesome first thing next morning» breakfast, and you’ll save some dough doing it! Ok, maybe that’s a terrible plan but hey, you’ll thank me for the suggestion if you’re ever stuck in that situation.

It’s a huge CVS with a large amount of items. The place is on a busy street with lots of traffic. The lady working at the register was very nice. The problem was the store was crowded and she was working alone. I had to wait in line almost 10 minutes. She called the store manager for backup but he didn’t come to help her until she was bagging up my stuff. He claimed oh I didn’t hear you but that was bs. I felt bad for the lady because she was trying her hardest.
