Hands down worst experience I have ever had in a doctors office. The receptionists at the front are very rude and unhelpful.
I was referred to CIDS by my primary care doctor for a cyst on my tailbone. Because I was in so much paint DR. Shah said he could take me right away, when I arrived at the location I waited an hour and 15 minutes before I was brought to a room, once I was in a room I waited another 30 minutes before I saw a PA, who in the end just sent me home with antibiotics and told me to come back in two days.
On my second visit I was getting the cyst lanced, the appointment was at 130, I again sat in the lobby for about an hour before being brought back to a room, where I then waited again for about 30 – 45 minutes, when the PA and her assistant finally came in they numbed the area, but then left again for over 15 minutes, by the time they came back to actually lance the cyst the numbness had already worn off in some areas, making the procedure very uncomfortable. Not to mention that the PA that numbed me wasn’t the same PA that came to do the procedure.
Aside from waiting to long to start the procedure after numbing the area, neither the PA or her assistant seemed to be very knowledgeable about my situation.
I have had this kind of cyst before and the procedure was quick and only one incision was made. After doing the procedure all the medical personnel disappeared quickly and it was time to make my follow up appointment. They did not give me an instructions on how to clean the area and were hesitant to give me a couple extra pieces of gauze to protect the area.
Appointment #3 and thank GOD it’s the last time I’ll ever walk in the building. My appointment was set for 9 am. I arrived at 9 and was the first person in the waiting room. After sitting in the waiting room for about 10 minutes a few other people sign in. Now it’s 915 and 3 people who walked in after me have been called back. At this point I decide to ask what’s going on, the receptionist say we are sorry she will be next, about 15 minutes goes by and it is now 930 a nurse walks out and again calls another patients name. At this point i decide to say something again, the 2^nd receptionist proceeds to tell me that my appointment wasn’t until 915 (mind you its 930 now). I proceed to show her the reminder card from two days earlier that clearly states that’s appointment was @ 9. I decided to leave the office at that time and make a follow up with my primary care.
I know that sometimes doctors visits come with a wait, but in the three times I have been in this office I have waited over 5 hours all together. But the wait alone is not what made my experience so bad, it is a mix of the bad costumer service from the receptionist, the lack on knowledge by the medical staff along with the long waits.

I was referred here by my PCP after have blood work done saying I had staph infection (or so I thought). I had been dealing with a rash for sometime & not feeling so well, so I had every test ran .
I do not do well on antibiotics because of my gut issues, so was referred here to do antibiotic IV treatment for Staph. I was under the impression that it was super dangerous for staph to be in blood. Thought I was going to go septic. So was anxious to get started !
Seen the PA Stephanie, who I liked a lot. We went over my history & she informed me I would be getting a picc line & having home health set up (all very overwhelming).
I then had to wait at a hospital ALL day & night to get the Picc line put in. Had to have my husband give me a hardcore antibiotic that made me feel awful ! And experienced a ton of discomfort from the Picc line itself. Absolutely miserable. All to find out when I did my follow up with Dr. Shah, that that blood test I had done was a «titer test» and mine was only over by 2 points & that EVERY BODY has strep & staph titers!
There was NO actual staph culture even ever done !
Basically None of this was explained to me till after I went through all this treatment. My blood work remains the same, rash is still there. Now I’m stuck with a shit ton of medical bills, & went through that all for Nothing.
Be careful here, get second opinions !
On a good note, the nurse Christina was amazing & the fact that Stephanie the PA knew so much about MTHFR gene I have was refreshing, but come on people .how do you look someone in the eye & put them through all this hell with no actual diagnosis.

This office is the ideal place to download the Unilocal app and write a review… Because you will be sitting in the waiting room for hours. The doctors are great but its a headache trying to get an appointment weeks in advance, only to show up and wait for hours. It shows a lot about the staffs professionalism and their appreciation for their patients’ time and comfort. Oh yeah, and thanks for not giving us a water fountain and not being able to make changes for the vending machine. At least I have my thirst to keep me company. It’s been 1hour 45 minutes now. Wish me luck

Today was my third visit to the CID (Clinical infectious Disease) office of Las Vegas. I have suffered with multiple health issues for nearly 30 years. I went to this office under the referral of my Primary Care doctor, Kimberly Adams. When you have been sick for as many years as I have, and yet received no definitive diagnosis, you become accustomed to the scattershot approach that modern medicine often applies to unusual cases. In the last 30 years, I have been x-​rayed, ultra-​sounded, and subjected to so many MRI’s that you could float me in a swimming pool and use me as a compass. I have swallowed a suitcase full of prescription medicines, and in all fairness, some of them provided temporary relief of some symptoms for a limited time.
It was Dr. Shah, and the wonderful caring staff at CIDS who was able to accurately identify my faulty immune response to infection as the actual culprit. Thanks to a carefully selected panel of tests, Dr Shah was able to clearly explain why I was chronically ill and, more importantly, devise a treatment strategy.
The prescribed treatment was the infusion of donor immunity factors to take the place of the missing antibodies in my own blood. The CIDS office has a splendid comfortable facility for the administration of intravenous medicines, and it was here where I received the first of what I have been told will be an ongoing treatment regimen. Since any new and unfamiliar treatment can be down right frightening, the skill and demeanor of the nursing staff can be so very important. It was here where the CIDS truly shines. I was greeted by a cheerful and friendly RN named Christine who immediately put me at ease. Her warm smile, upbeat attitude, and professional nursing skills made me feel immediately at home. She covered in detail what would be happening, potential side effects, and a plan of action to deal with them. I was escorted to a very comfortable reclining chair where the IV would be administered. She noticed that I had a tablet computer, and waisted no time in assisting me in connecting to their guest Internet service (a HUGE convenience that other medical offices should emulate).
Christine then took my vitals, reviewed them with me, and began the infusion process. She then told me to relax, and that she would ramp up the rate of flow very gradually to minimize any potential side effects. She listened sympathetically as I explained how long I had been ill, and demonstrated the kind of compassion a friend would express. She checked on me at regular intervals and made me feel totally taken care of. This is what nursing is all about, and how comforting it was under the circumstances. After about an hour, I became curious about what my copay for this visit would be, Christine checked with the office immediately and relayed the info.
The entire infusion process took about six hours, but the relaxed atmosphere and attentiveness of the staff made the time pass quickly. I wholeheartedly recommend this facility for anyone requiring diagnostic and treatment of this specialty. My sincere compliments!
