Canvas and Cocktails

This review comes after having attended another Canvas and Cocktails event with such a great experience, that I wanted to do it again, but…
My friend and I each purchased a $ 35 voucher on 4÷17÷2013 through Unilocal.The last class posted on their calendar website is from November. I followed them on Twitter, last class posted there was November. So nothing on schedule and no return calls. After several attempts to make contact via email and telephone messages, I have yet to hear back from a single person from this company. I could only assume they have spent my money, died and gone to hell.
What a rip-​off. Buyer beware… I suggest you try Design and Wine instead.

I was really excited about this event. The owners and artists were very friendly and helpful. They were very patient with me when I was struggling to «see the vision». They gave me suggestions when I needed them and really enjoyed the event. And yes my portrait is on my wall and got a lot of compliments on it.

Sure anything can be fun when you add cocktails into the equation. But you could get me to do this without the cocktails.
The concept is easy, they give you step by step instructions to paint on a canvas whatever the chosen picture is.
«But I can’t draw»
«I don’t know how to paint!»
Both statements above apply to me. I pretty much can only draw a stick figure pretty well. However, with the guide and instructions that they provided it was amazing how well my painting came out. Okay, okay it wasn’t the best in the class but it was the best thing I had ever painted.
The ladies who host this event are personable, friendly and so much fun. They made everyone feel good about their work and helped anyone who asked for it. The event I attended was head at a local bar who had drink specials just for the canvas and cocktails event. Very nice!
The best part is the fee for the event includes everything you need to paint. You just bring yourself! They do private parties and I am already thinking of all the different ways I can utilize their services.
I honestly had a blast and I am no Picasso., yet my painting is hanging up in my living room. If ever given the opportunity to come to event or you are looking for a way to make your party stand out then this is something you need use!

I had so much fun! The artist was encouraging, upbeat and extremely helpful. She actually made me feel artsy. A word never used to described me! Thanks lady for a great evening of fun and thank you wahoo’s for hosting.
