Best Western Plus Montezuma Inn & Suites

Update… we have booked the Plaza hotel for the remainder of our stay in this town. This morning I was awakened by barking dogs at 6 am!!! I am so done with this filthy dirty hotel where the desk clerks are rude and uncaring. I am contacting Travelocity today to see about moving me out of this nightmare of a mistakenly high rated hotel. I understand that our stay may not be perfect, but the staff here has been rude, condescending and at best, lousy in their positions with the exception of the nice young lady that takes care of the breakfast. They have no interest in addressing any issues. I fell on the ice last night in the parking lot and all I got was a shrug, and a weak «sorry to hear it-​you ok?“The attitude of the staff here speaks volumes of what is wrong with the hotel, and ultimately what is wrong with the town. NO ONE CARES and everything is done half ass! The town is so poor you cannot read half the street signs because they are so faded, and during the recent snow storm, the roads were barely plowed. I hope my son moves away from this horrible place so I never have to come back.

Checked in after a long day of driving to a room on the 3^rd floor. Unfortunately, an hour later as we were getting ready to lay down we found that BOTH of the double beds in the room we were staying in had bed bugs.
The room was refunded, but the overnight manager seemed like he could care less. I was about as calm as I could be after finding bed bugs, but he was very rude. However, the lady up front was helpful and took care of the refund.
So check the beds if you have to stay there (but I would say do not stay there), but the Holiday Inn we went to instead is clean, no bed bugs, and the staff is nice. Also, it was cheaper so win win. Avoid this Best western until you know it’s bed bug issues in all rolms are fixed, holiday inn is where I would recommend you go to.

Ok place, but they really need to clean the carpet in their pet friendly rooms. Not everyone has a dog that uses the indoors as a bathroom! Heavily stained carpet! Yuk!

We stayed here after a relative recommended it at the end of May. The best was the most comfortable I have slept in away from home. A little high but like a princess bed and once you are it your sleep is awesome. Very clean and neat and cleaning staff very helpful to meet our needs. Water hot and bathroom awesome. Breakfast was good and staff worked to keep stocked.
We came back and stayed during the July 4^th holiday for a family reunion. This was during their July 4^th Fiesta in Las Vegas and hotel was very booked. Still a good stay — could hear people in other rooms walking around but I am in a hotel so dont expect more and nothing that couldn’t be dealt with. Food was still good and all our needs were met.
Keep this in mind if you need to stay in Las Vegas NM and other locations!

I love this location! Staff is great, rooms are great… the bathtubs exceptionally clean! I always look at the books and cracks this is how you know if they truly keep a hotel clean… spotless! Breakfast is awesome… Great place, great location and I can’t stress enough how clean it is and new. It’s been open 6 plus years but it still appears as if it’s new. The pool area is super awesome.

This is already a small town which isn’t what bothered me. I checked into this hotel with Priceline cause I don’t know what the heck is in Las Vegas, NM and I’ve been on a road trip for 4 days. So I come check in and ask for a 2 queen bed because I’m here with my mother. The man at the desk said I couldn’t have that because I booked through Priceline. His tone and attitude was so rude. If he had just said «oh I’m sorry we don’t have any of those rooms available» it would be one thing. But the fact that he looked at me and said «oh you can’t. You booked through Priceline» in probably a snobbier tone than an unreasonable child who is unwilling to share with their sibling is why I will not ever be staying here again. So rude. Only reason I’m giving two stars is cause I saw the cutest kitten out front and this is unfortunately this is the highest rated hotel. Plus they comp’d my wagon bed.

Definitely stay here if you can! My husband and I stayed here earlier this week when we were traveling through to California. We ended up getting stuck in traffic on our way and detoured up to Las Vegas. Anyways… We ended up staying here and it was a great experience. Super clean rooms and hotel in general. Also pretty cheap for the great quality. The breakfast in the morning was good too! If we are ever passing through again or just decide to vacation to the cute little town, we’ll stay here again!

Very clean and nice. The morning breakfast was good. I like that they have fresh coffee all day/​evening. The have cookies out in the evening. They even offer soup at 5:30 p.m.
This is my first time staying at the BW. My previous trips I have stayed elsewhere. I will now always stay here. The desk staff is great! Very nice and knowledgable. Nicole was very helpful and a good representative for the hotel.

OMG you will never have a shower like this one in your life. The water pressure is so incredible that the light mist acts like an exfoliator. The full pulse setting does wonders for a sore back. I never knew a shower could be so awesome.
Bed was very nice with an extra pad for comfort. Pillows just right. The concierge hooked us up with a little café and my picky British husband had liver & onions and a nice beer that he really enjoyed.
