2016 Unilocal 100 Review Challenge — ¹³⁄₁₀₀
I dropped in because I wanted to try the cocoa puffs for my birthday. I heard about them from Island Flavor next door.
Ordered:
— the Chantilly Coco Puffs — I can’t compare them to the ones Hawai’i (b/​c I honestly don’t remember, sorry) but the coco puffs here were delicious. Give them a try and see for yourself.
— Chocolate Domed Dessert — forgot the exact name — this was tasty, but not as rich as I would like it to be. The bottom is a dark chocolate cake topped with a soft chocolate cream/​mousse. And covered with a chocolate shell dome.
— Chocolate Eclairs — delicious bite size, better than what I’ve tried at other bakeries, restaurants & buffets.
— got a few other desserts but I forgot the name. Those were just okay for me.
All in all, they were good, no complaints. You should try them… they’ve also got Chantilly cakes, guava cakes… and a variety of fillings and icings. (A list of their cake flavors, fillings & icings are on one of my photos)

Simple order of a dozen cupcakes. They were beautiful and delicious! I didn’t really know what I was ordering. Just asked for half vanilla and half chocolate and got way more then expected! The vanilla was absolutely delicious and the cupcakes were filed with a cream/​custard. The icing was devine. Everyone at work asked where I got them because it was the best icing (light and creamy) I will definitely be back to try some of his cakes and more of those cupcakes.

Thanks to Island Flavor next door, Former Hawaii residents are semi deprived from desserts. These guys are on key when it comes to their guava and chantilly cakes!
Their Cocoa Puffs are awesome as well! William is a real nice guy, and is always pleasant! I just home they never leave!

These people have by far the best guava chiffon cake I have ever eaten! The cake is light and moist as a chiffon should be. I’ve also tried the chantilly cake which is good, but I MUST have the guava chiffon. Do yourself a favor and get it, it’ll probably be one of the best decisions you have ever made.

My husband surprised me with a cake from Andreas. The cake did not look complete and was missing spider webs as per the order. I was still thrilled with it because my husband got it for me and I could not wait to eat it. We got home from dinner and served it… It was horrible! There were two levels, one was spice and the other red velvet. I love cake and this cake I could barely eat. In fact no one liked it. I felt so bad for my husband, who wanted this to be the best. It was really inedible. I had almost a whole cake left because no one would eat it. We will not use Andreas again, it was a waste of money!

I ordered three cakes from this bakery a Chantilly cake, Haupia (coconut) cake and a Dobash cake. They all tasted great my personal favorite was the Chantilly the Haupia and the Chantilly are three layer cakes but the Dobash is a two layer cake. William the owner was very nice and informative he had the cakes ready on time. The prices are very affordable I will be ordering cakes from them again a five star bakery

Stopped here again for the coco puffs which is every time I hit up Island Flavor. I don’t understand giving a place 1 Star for saying they can’t make your cake. If they can’t do it. they can’t do it… sounds like a simple answer… BTW I did stop here the day after I came back from Oahu to compare the coco puffs directly and Andrea’s wins…

Andreas World of Cakes definitely makes delicious cakes! They are moist, have great flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. Even their fondant I enjoy eating, which I don’t usually because sometimes they just taste gummy. The owners are friendly and helpful with your cake orders. There’s just a few things however… they aren’t the best cake decorators. I’ve ordered a couple cakes from them and they turned out just ok. Maybe more simple designs they can achieve but if you wanted a very detailed, more difficult design, you’re better off with more experienced bakeries in town. Lots of little flaws obvious from the cakes I’ve ordered. And sometimes it’s hard to get a hold of someone when you’re calling during business hours. Nonetheless, I still support this local business and recommend their yummy cakes.

I ordered my daughters birthday cake here for her birthday with William.
I was very specific on how I wanted the cake to look, William was very attentive and open to my ideas. 4 days later we picked up this beautiful cake.
Everyone loved it, my friends even came by a couple days later asking for some left over cake.

Best guava cake in town. Ordered the cake the day before and was ready for pickup the next day with happy birthday personalized on top. The cake was fresh, moist and delicious.
Too bad when the cake reached the final destination– up a driveway, the top of the cake, which was guava jelly and whipped cream spilled off the cake. Just try to avoid steep hills and driveways with your guava cake.

Beautiful Cakes made here… my favorite that I come back over and over again is for the «Guava Cake»…jus like home in Hawaii!

I stopped here to have a simple round cake for my husbands birthday was was told «I can’t do it». What a great customer service, will never return here

I am very super picky on the pastry that I buy and am totally into supporting local bakeries and I have to say that this place is pure awesomeness! There is nothing that this guy bakes that isn’t good! Rarely do I give out 5 but I will for them. Huapia, guava cake, even just plain white cake with vanilla butter cream… So soooo good! My favorite is the chantilly coco cream puffs. Not to mention the great customer service he recognizes his regulars. I Andrea’s World of Cakes

They accommodated me a week before my sons 1^st bday party even tho they say to give them at least 2 weeks advance. I wanted a chantilly cake which is very hard to find here in Vegas, it’s a Hawaii favorite. But I didn’t want the basic round or sheet cake I wanted it to match the jungle themed party. The guy that works there came up with a great idea and made a beautiful cake in the short amount of time and it was affordable I think $ 80 for a half sheet with decorations, which to me is well worth it. They do delivery too for a fee but if u have a party on a Sunday u have to pick up your cake on Saturday by 2pm so schedule accordingly. Cake itself was moist and delicious even tho it was a day later because my party was on a Sunday. The decorations were also edible and soo cute! Couldn’t have been happier with the cake. It’s hard to find a bakery that makes the flavors of cakes that they make such as chantilly, haupia (coconut) and guava cake and also make it look beautiful.

We frequent the Hawaiian restaurant Island Flavor next door, and imagine my surprise when I found out Andrea’s supplies their Chantilly and Guava cakes among others. Chantilly is one of my all time favorites and they make a darn good one here. It’s moist with just the right amount of sweetness, so sinful and decadent. The taste takes me back to Hawaii, now I don’t have to wait to appease that craving.
We have ordered our cakes from them since then, William (the owner and pastry chef) is very pleasant to work with, very accommodating. He doesn’t charge me extra for last minute orders (simple cakes) He’s constantly working on new flavors and varieties. He offers a lot of local favorites: Dobash, Haupia, Egg pies etc. but most of all, the prices are so affordable. I have gotten similar sized cakes from other bakeries for twice, even 3 times the amount but way inferior in taste and quality. I’m ecstatic that I now have a place I can order my cakes and have that guaranteed satisfaction that I’m getting the best bang for my buck. I will continue to recommend you to friends and family, definitely one of Vegas’ hidden gems!

I received one of their guava cakes for my birthday. I never ate guava cake in my life and I was surprised at how delicious it was. The cake was baked perfectly. It was moist and had a refreshing taste. You can definitely taste the guava nectar inside. I plan on coming back to Andre’s World of Cakes to order cakes for future occasions.

We ordered a cake for our son’s wedding in September. William was very helpful and professional. The cake was so beautiful and delicious that we ordered another cake for my husband’s 50^th birthday celebration. Once again the cake was a hit! Delicious moist vanilla cake with raspberry mousse filling.

Their Hawaiian cakes taste just like the ones I grew up on in Hawaii… actually a little better. Prices are good & they are super nice here!

Get the CHANTILLY CAKE!!! The best! They also come in cupcakes too. and the chocolate covered chocolate ganache dome thing… they do sell out pretty quickly so I recommend to order in advance especially if it’s for an event like a birthday. The owner is really nice too

William was amazing to work with. He helped me decide on a cake over the phone for my Vegas destination wedding! The cake was SO PRETTY and even more DELICIOUS! They really know what they are doing. I’m am so glad they were able to make my special day even brighter. Truly a great experience working with you! Thank you VERY much!!!
