On 10/27/2014, I had my assessment with Dr. Josephine Razon. My pain level was pushing 10, and I was desperate. I was wearing a cervical collar & a semi– custom back brace during waking hours. I was there for my neurologist, Dr. Charles Bernick, Associate Director of the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health of the Cleveland Clinic. I was dead set against physical therapy due to negative past experiences, especially @ Matt Smith Physical Therapy, 4000 S. Eastern Ave., #300, LV with Chip Miller & Gil. With the nurturing, compassionate care given by Drs. Mike, Josephine, & Wes, Lic. Massage Therapists Yvonne & Tyler, & staff members, I am a changed person. With wkly. dry needling by Mike(I defer to Rush W.‘s 8÷13÷2014 review), 3 times a wk. evaluations by the Drs., plus customized stretching routines performed both in-house & at home, and machine exercising, I no longer wear a cervical collar nor back brace(except proactively). 4 doctors have told me that I need multiple surgeries. I am trying to avert surgery as long as possible. With the medical care that I receive from my medical Drs. & these WONDERFUL, AMAZINGPROFESSIONALS and STAFF who create a POSITIVEENVIRONMENT to ENCOURAGEYOUTHATITISPOSSIBLETOFEELBETTER!!! As a long distance runner, I have experienced my share of wear and tear from the sport. For years, I would be hobbled by little twinges that would crop up in the legs or lower back. This meant having to drop plans for races and wait for things to clear up weeks later or go to doctors who really didn’t know how to treat what was occurring from within their realm of practice. Since moving to Las Vegas, I discovered the services of Michel Rantissi Jr at Advanced Manual Therapy Institute. He has definitely managed to pull me from the brink of spending race weekend up on cinder blocks versus on the course running. Rantissi is a master practitioner in Trigger Point Dry Needling, which gets to the root of many of those muscular aches and cramps that bedevil runners, particularly in the legs. With a couple well placed pokes of fine filament dry needles and a little bit of light voltage current, those twinges and knots will go away. It hurts for a few moments as he pokes the trigger point vigorously to release it. You’ll be initially sore from the experience but good as new two days later. He also is good with identifying misalignments in the back and hips and doing adjustments that are appropriate and accurate. This is not a franchise chiropractic chop shop where you are hurried in, treated in less than 3 minutes and pushed out, but somewhere that each patient is carefully given attention and care appropriate to their needs. Advanced Manual Physical Therapy definitely has a good bunch of folks there. They charge very reasonable flat prices and are fairly easy to schedule with for appointments. After having used their services six times, I am feeling better and more physically ready to go than ever before. Thank you Advanced Manual Physical Therapy!

If you have more than regular back pain and you’re looking for answers this is the place. This is not my first time with this style of therapy after getting hurt in the military. So far I’ve been to twice and I already see results. Best of all is how comfortable you’ll feel. I’ll update as I progress. Oh and the pre authorization process was a big relief.
