Old bldg, poor service, & mediocre selection of glasses. Only positive was Dr. Lucero is a funny dude.

If I could give no stars I absolutely would. Overall it was a horrible experience. He was late to the appointment 45 minutes to be exact. When he finally came to the appointment he didn’t really talk to me. Essentially he spoke about me to his Assistant, but never fully addressed me as the patron. He informed me that he was unable to fit me for contacts because of my astigmatism which I understand I have a high prescription. However instead of giving me feasible options he explained my only option was to have lasik surgery with a doctor he worked closely with in Albuquerque. In which he explained was only 20,000 and they put me up in a 4 star hotel etc. I’m not quite sure who he thinks he was talking to, but 20,000 is not in my bank account. Ultimately the main reason for my review is that I have put off going back to get an eye exam because it was absolutely horrific during my last visit. I found a new doctor and he was amazing, but I did find out that Dr. Lucero gave me the wrong prescription. I have been wearing my old glasses rather than the ones he prescribed and now I know why. I’ve never in my life had an experience where I was over prescibed by a full point. I’ve been wearing glasses/​contacts since I have been 9 years old and I am in my 30s now. I have never had an expierence as i did when I went to this office. I don’t really know if its lack of attention or carelessness. Either way I will not now nor ever recommend this office to anyone.
