Sam’s NY Style Pizza

Disclaimer: NY Style Pizza is not my favorite type of pizza.
After reading my friend Steve E’s review of NY Style Pizza of Carollwood, he mentioned that they have another spot in Largo by the same name. Good enough for me. Lets check it out.
Located on the NE corner of East Bay Drive and Fulton St (actually facing Fulton St) This spot was once Chitony’s Pizza, which was here for years. While this location is strictly take-​out only, they have a vast menu similar to the Carollwood location.
They offer Subs, Salad’s, Wings, Calzones, Stromboli’s, Garlic Rolls, Pizza, and Dinners consisting of different pasta’s, Eggplant and Chicken Parmesan to name a few. The Pizza’s come in a variety of sizes, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and a whopping 28 inch!
Our choice tonight was the large (16in) Meatball Parmesan Pizza, which has marinara sauce instead of the pizza sauce, and ricotta cheese too. Remembering my disclaimer, we found the pizza very enjoyable. Could have done without the ricotta cheese personally, but hey that’s just me. The crust was thin yet very tasty.
We also ordered a large Antipasto salad, ham, salami, thick cut capicola, and provolone cheese. Iceberg lettuce with black olives, peperochinis, onions etc. the salad was good also. All said, we will certainly try them again.
Well, with that said I would also like to say a few words about Unilocal friends. Reading our friends reviews and sampling the establishments food, gets you to know their tastes. It’s great when you find out that you have similar likes and dislikes. It’s even better when you get to meet your friends and chit chat over good food. Steve E., Marinda H., and Crystal H., are a few that come to mind in that I respect their reviews. So read your friends reviews, and check them out. (Just sayin) ;-)
