Golden Corral

Everything I tried ranged from mediocre (the chicken) to fantastic (the pot roast). Nothing was cold or seemed like it had been sitting out. I was super excited to find that they had (really good) pumpkin cupcakes in June! Our server seemed irritated when we sat in her area and kept hiding in the corner to eat. We will probably return again since it’s a good place when you just feel like having a little bit of everything.

too much carbohydrates on menu. the pasta salad was terrible, pre packaged. the food was bland. too much deep fried. server was great.

Wow. I can’t even explain how amazing this place is. I visited another one in Orlando, but this one. Let me tell you about this one. It has so many more options compared to the Orlando one. They have so many deserts. It’s beautiful. The food was like an orgasm in my mouth. It’s like heaven on earth. If I had a death wish, it would be to eat at this place. Our waitress was Leeann. She was wonderful. She continuously checked on us, brought refills without us asking. She deserves a raise!!! God bless the cooks in this place. GOD BLESS THE MAN/​WOMAN WHO CREATED GOLDEN CORRAL!!!

This is the worst place I’ve ever been to the manager Nicole was a total B**** and had no manners. We drove 25 minutes to this place because it is advertised everywhere that they close at 11pm and when we get here their doors are locked, the manager refused to even meet us at the door and tell us anything we had to call them just to be disrespected.

The food is terrible quality. Ive tried this place multiple times over the years thinking it may change. It never did. The salad and desert were good and thats pretty much it. Thats not saying much.

We went there the other night (tuesday) and were enjoying a nice meal and the server Bambi was very nice and attentive as well. The reason for the one star though is that the cashier let a hobo come in and panhandle the guests who were eating. Nothing makes a dining experience more uncomfortable and awkward than having someone ask you for money while you are eating. I was shocked that he was let in since he couldn’t pay! I understand if golden corral wants to do a good deed and feed the homeless, that’s commendable, but then don’t make then pay and least of all, don’t allow them to panhandle to your paying customers.

I may be asking for to much but when I drive into a parking lot and the appearance of the property looks like it’s been deserted and neglected it doesn’t give me much hope for what’s inside.
The first time we tried this place we left very sick. I chalked it up t (a o a bad day and we tried it again. It seems like everybody is going crazy for all day breakfast and although there are SOME people who may like it, I personally do not. I feel it interferes in the lunch and dinner menu and selection (as you have to make room for the breakfast items).
Personally, I feel this place needs an overhauling inside and out. Breakfast should be just that served only in the morning and return to the great selection for lunch and dinner. Just to mention why when I figured oh what the heck lets try an omelet for dinner there was no one around to make it. There were people everywhere but they turned there nose up and walked on or did what they needed to for dinner. So it j ust further states what I feel even the staff don’t like all day breakfast.

Typical Golden Corral– clean food comes out quick. I like they offer breakfast all day including omelets. Only prob usually manager has to make omelets cuz all others busy. Steaks are good for the price I’m paying

The food was as expected from any type of big buffet. Below average customer service however we did have an exceptional waiter. Nice assortment of desserts but very few healthy alternatives. Would be nice to have some non fried fish or similar options. Kids definitely enjoyed though.

Never go here the food is old and the health inspectors have been notified. It’s sets on top of a swank so now matter what the company doesn’t will be infested with rats flies and other disease carrying bugs. DO NOT EAT HERE

Its not a Las Vegas buffet but for the price the food was actually very good. I had the fried chicken which was seasoned quite well. Additionally, they have quite a variety of different dishes so you should be able to find something for everyone.
I also had the grilled steak which is cooked to your liking. And they sell breakfast food all day long, quite a bonus in my opinion.
All in all, a decent place to go for a good and quick meal at an inexpensive price.
Oh, even though I didn’t have room for it, they also have quite a selection of different dessert items.

God awful. Food was shit. Service was shit. Didn’t even feel bad about not tipping or meth head server due to the fact we had to pay 34 dollars for that pig slop they call food. If you like not having merca easy somewhere else.

I’ve been to several Golden Corral locations in a few different states, and this one is a true shithole. It’s not the biggest I’ve been in nor the smallest. The men’s bathroom is NEVER clean, the place always stinks, the floors are always sticky and the place just seems old, run down and falling apart.
The food is not bad when it’s available. There always seems to be a shortage of fried chicken and mash potatoes. After years of this problem you’d think they would cook more in bigger pans but no. They put up maybe a dozen and a half pieces of fried chicken and a half pan of mash potatoes, 5 minutes later the chicken is gone, and be prepared for a 30 minute wait before more chicken is put up. Almost all the hot vegetables are from a can. I mean c’mon, who eats can vegetables anymore. Frozen is the way to go. Corn and green beans from a can is nasty.

Food was good, but bathrooms were dirty and the floor was very sticky. Service was excellent; our waitress came back multiple times with drinks without us having to ask. Chocolate fountain was great and food wasn’t bad.

Okay, I went back to this location a few months ago and when I walked in it smelled sour. I did a u-​turn complaining about the smell to myself that the customers behind me did the same thing. My original review was posted 2013 as you can see.

This was the worst Golden Corral location I have ever been too. Even though it is smaller than other locations they could not seem to stock half the items. I t was just a giant let down.

The warm, pungent reek of human sewage as we neared the front doors was an ill omen I should have heeded. Not sure if there was a busted sewer pipe nearby, or if ‘scenic Pinellas Park’ just uses open slurry canals like Jakarta (possible).
After being financially raped at the counter (20-​ish bucks for two adults), we went and took a seat in a stained, torn booth (see photo of booth seat, which looked like a caged beast or inbred child had been gnawing upon it)
The first thing I noticed was the crowd. The average weight of these hulking «humanatees» was 250−300lbs+. Several pods had set up what I am calling «feeding bases», where they would eat, then relax with books and magazines as they ‘settled in’ to digest, so they could then feed more, and then more. Books and magazines! Many had spilled food and/​or grease upon their massive shirts with no care in the world for decorum. Sometimes they would pick and graze upon the spilled bodyfood in a daze as they read their Auto Trader.
While the baked selections were actually delicious (bread pudding, cinnamon rolls, and biscuits), the rest of the food was a horror. The coffee was warm brown water, identified as coffee only because of the label on the tank it came out of. The battered, deep-​friend bacon (yep) was covered in a flavorless crumby shell, while the «bacon» inside was only lightly cooked and fleshy-​pink. I think I actually dry-​heaved when taking a bite of it. The various meats on display were all dripping in stale grease, which seemed to coat the inside of my digestive tract and fill me with shame and regret for the life choices that led me to this place.
Let it be noted that we only came here because the kid got a ‘free buffet certificate’ for perfect attendance at school, and we had promised to take her.
As we left, we were once again greeted by the stench of human feces directly outside the front doors. It seemed to be mocking us. I clutched my aching gut, and stumbled dizzily to the car, shaking my fist at the angry god who had created this hell on earth as some sort of amusing punishment.
Never again.

It amazes me that places like this are even still in business. Are there really people out there who like to indulge by gorging themselves on all you can eat subpar quality food while being crammed in with tons of other customers and a few «surprise» guests (need i say anything about the bug violations that this place has gotten)? What can you expect from a place that serves unlimited food for such a low cost?
None of the food here is good. The servers are overworked so don’t expect to get even average service. I haven’t been here in years, especially after hearing news reports about the cleanliness here, and i would never go back. If you like to find a cheap place to eat til your stomach is bursting, but not actually eat anything good, this is your place. Otherwise, consider yourself warned

This is great if you value quantity over quality. There’s nothing good here to eat. It’s all below mediocre even for a buffet. The wings they hype up right now aren’t even that good. The place is cramped and there’s no good set traffic flow. Patrons spill food all over the place, serves are constantly running around trying to do too much it seems, and the bathrooms smell like hell. This place exists for people who only care about eating a lot rather than eating something that tastes good.

Why oh why did I chose this restaurant? We haven’t been here in years, now I remember why.
Our party of 4 couldn’t agree on a place for dinner while at the Largo Mall. One is lactose intolerant, another the most pickiest eater in the world, and the other wants comfort food. So what the heck, there is something for everyone at Golden Corral, right?
There truly is a wide variety of food here, but none of it is really a standout IMO. The deserts are sub par to me. The floors are filthy. The language of the «behind the counter» staff is not English, which makes it very difficult to get questions answered. I found myself asking other patrons «what is that» as they where scooping it on their plates. (a good number of name cards were either missing or on the wrong item)
Have you seen the pictures of the people of Walmart? Well, you could do the same type of pictures here at GC. Makes you want to take a shower when you leave this place.
Here’s the kicker. 3 out of the 4 of us had .ah.um…stomach distress the next day! Not good.

Très bien. Buffet monstrueux. Buffet salade pour les gens sérieux. Mais un tel choix à gouté la culture américaine pour 7 $ au même endroit et c’est de très bonne qualité.
