If you want to spend money to receive rudeness, go to this restaurant! I walked in for a quick lunch and asked for a menu to take out. When I asked the cashier for a suggestion on a noodle dish, she snapped at me and informed me that this is not a Chinese restaurant. Her arrogance left me stunned, and I should have walked out right then and there, but I simply smiled and placed an order. Other customers walked in and were served an entire lunch, while I sat there for my take out, I guess that was another way of her telling me! Since I had already paid, I had no choice but to wait, and believe she made me wait. I’m a senior citizen that lived in San Francisco most of my life, so I know my cuisines, for this woman to be so outright hostile, it shows she has no regard for her customers, just the mighty dollar. It is a fairly new place, but if they treat people that way, I for one won’t be a return customer. By the way, food at best was mediocre, good presentation, but lacked flavor. I had Vermicelli with chicken and came with a side salad of cabbage, cucumber and two slices of carrots for that they charged $ 8.93. Should have had a Smoothie King for same price. Stay away.

Best phở in town which doesn’t say much considering it’s Laredo and there is only one other place. But it does remind me of phở I’ve had in Austin and other larger cities with a bigger Vietnamese population. The meats are spot on and the broth was seasoned to what I expect phở to taste like. The bahn mi was delicious as well. I sub out the pork for chicken as a personal preference. Long story short. I’ll be going back at least once a month.

Just got denied service. Customers may not enter this place after 8:25 pm. Door sign says closing time 9:00pm.

Just went there, after reading the reviews and it is not like any of the reviews! Order both types of rolls, one of the orders looked like from the kids meals, very small size, the other was the fresh roll but the rice paper was sticky and gummy and not much favor. Had one of the pork dishes and it was lukewarm and not very much, the cooked rice was very dry. My wife has the beef stew, had three small pieces of meat and three huge gloop of meat fat and the taste was like water downed menudo. Told the server about it lacking meat and he mumbled that he didn’t cook it, asked for some more meat and he came back with a lame excuse that the meat would not be ready for some time. Don’t waste your money here, I have eaten at some very good Vietnamese restaurants and this one is not of them!

We had a great surprise from this place. The restaurant itself is well decorated and in a modern asian setting. The menu is large and offers a variety of options, to many tastes. Do ask about items that they offer outside the menu, like their fried rice and Phở Ga(Chicken Soup), one of my favorites. We started with the Bahn Mi, which we shared amongst the three of us. The bread was perfectly toasted and the pork just supreme, for $ 3.75 it should be a to go for lunch for any budgeted and intelligent individual. I will add a fried egg for and additional dollar. Then I ordered the shrimp soup and my daughter the meatballs soup. The broth was, simply put, extraordinaire. Right size for one to finished with feeling bloated. Strong flavors and of course the side of basil and bean sprouts. I ordered the fried rice to go, it was ok, the portion a bit small. Nevertheless, the cold is coming soon, take a chance a try something new, the soups made the Vietnamese food famous, then why not do something different and new.

Had the beef stew over rice noodles and really enjoyed it. I have had better but this is a new restaurant. Much of the ingredients appeared authentic. The service was not great but all the wait staff appears new. Their menu is extensive in comparison to other local similar restaurants. Will definitely go back.

Great price for phở, just like the ones in Brea, Cali and the spring rolls are delish. The only place that has some what of a viet vibe, has four TVs, décor is nice. They also sell Banh Mi and Vietnamese coffee. A major plus since the coffee is strong.
