My husband and I have heard a lot good things about this place but… we ordered the $ 30.00 meal for two and we were extremely disappointed! We ordered it to go and when my husband went to pick it up, he had to wait for another 20 minutes before it was even ready. Once he brought it home, everything was cold, the hummus tasted store bought, the chicken was dry and tasted like jerky, the pita bread was stale, the gyro tasted like spoiled meat and the grape leave wraps were mushy and slimy! Never again will we waste our money here…

Went there to get the platter for 2 and the cook was rude and would not work with me to replace items on the platter. I was willing to pay extra but it seemed like he was in a jury to go outside and smoke. This is the last time I eat there.

My husband and I decided to dine here for our date night. The restaurant is quaint and cozy. It is very clean and has a very comfortable environment. The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We ordered the hummus appetizer, which was delicious and served with fresh, hot pita bread. I chose the vegetarian platter, and he selected the gyros plate. We were delighted in our meal, and will most definitely return time and time again.

The exterior and interior are rather Spartan(ha-ha), but neat and clean. I ordered the Combination Chicken Shawarma and Gyros Plate($ 13.95), which came with a huge salad and hummus. This was a very large and filling meal, and it was delicious. I would recommend this place and would return. RJT

Not to be missed! Laplace has such lame dining choices and aren’t we lucky to get this Little gem. Great food! Had the hummus appetizer-delish. Then had the gyro sandwich also good – loaded with meat. Next time I’ll get the gyro plate or gyro salad. Hummus comes with.

Great food! Great Service! All at a great price! We will be back. If you are looking for great Greek cuisine then you definitely have to try Athena! As an appetizer we had the veggie grape leaves and they were warm and tasted fresh. I had the chicken shawarma and gyro salad. The meats were juicy and the salad was crisp. Usually the chicken and the gyro meat can be dry but this was NOT the case. My wife ordered the gyro salad but was mistakenly brought the chicken shawarma salad. No big deal… she said it was ok and that she would eat it. Well about 2 minutes that the waiter came out and brought a plate of gyro meat! Awesome!

Brand new place and we stopped in for a sample. Clean and nice with excellent staff, reasonable prices, and fast service.
