staff are great… and the people at the YMCA tend to be very nice… the expense for the membership is well worth it considering how much my whole family spends there… just wish they would offer special for people that drop in that come in with a member

I come here when I’m back home in MI. My dad, brother and nephew are members and they always get free passes to use in the mail which I love so I can have a gym away from home. The guest rate is typically $ 10 which I think is too high for the small workout area that’s offered, I can go to the MAC for the same price!
The Y is always clean and the staff is friendly. I wish they had more classes and also wish they would leave one of the classrooms unlocked so I could do my own workout in the room!
When I was there over the holidays they had tons of machines that were out of order! Hopefully they got those fixed for all the New Years Resolution people coming in!

We’ve been mostly disappointed with our membership to the Westside Y. We love the fitness classes but think they should be included with the costly membership. The children’s programs are lacking. We had a very apathetic youth sports coach and have noticed that much of the day camp staff is not engaged with the children.
While some of the lifeguards are good, many of them allow very unsafe practices and are quite rude. The small pool is beautiful and is very fun for small kids during school days.
