The Tattoo Shop

I went in after going to a number of other Lansing tattoo shops and not feeling right. Kevin the owner listened to my vision and looked at my inspirations photos and told me a guy Conley would be a great fit. I met with Conley. Conley obviously cares. He is the type of guy to tell you his opinion because he cares. He told me how other shops may do what I was requesting buy why he suggests having the scale of the images be bigger and I’ll be happier and why. This caught me off guard. A tattoo artist who has the courage to tell me no and why. I was hooked. I also must add that Conley is not a steriotypical tattoo guy! He is a real artist, and an amazing one at that. He is a USA veteran and father. He was slow to open up but after having him do a tattoo, I got to know him. The times I’ve been in here, 10 or so 3 hour plus sittings, I’ve laughed my butt off with these guys Kevin and conley and steve. Real guys, hard workers, honest men, trying to serve people and have a good time doing body art. My encouragement is to go here if you want a tattoo, definitely go there if you want ARTWORK and be open. Open to collaborating with your artist. I have approached each tattoo as a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ thing. I bring the inspiration and vision or plan A and plan B, and let my artist get involved. It’s healthy pressure and he has to feel confident. It’s more honest and feels good. Make sure to tip!!!
Since January 2015 2 partial ¾ sleeve all from Conley at the Tattoo shop. This place is a gem in Lansing. Their books are not updated so don’t bother looking at them, bring your own inspiration and be willing to compromise.

Went for my 1^st Tatt, went with my Sis & another girl… I went in nervous and scared… Left out unsure if I would do it again. But now that the healing is done… the more I look at it the more I want to go back for a second. As a matter of face, I will be going back for a second. Kevin has a very relaxing personality, yes for all the giggles and laughs he was also very professional & sanitary. Took the time to answer every question we had, and we had a LOT of questions. Was the best experience I could have ever hoped for, glad I waited… ended up in the right hands. Kevin is the man! :D
