Despite being about the only game in town, the pizza is top-notch and could hold its own with a city full of competition.

Hands down without a doubt my favorite restaurant and the only restaurant I am a regular of. Great, fresh, local ingredients and phenomenal cooks, really nice atmosphere, attentive waiters, clean dining area and restroom all combine for the ultimate dining experience at a good price. The staff are always friendly and quick to recommend and help you through the menu. Me and my girlfriend are hooked to their food and we dine in and carry out regularly. Our favorite is the large Traditional White pizza with pepperoni added, it is the best pizza I have ever ate and the crust is just so good! I recommend me this quirky little restaurant to all my friends and family and I am sure within a week I’ll be back again to fuel my newly found obsession.

We are just finishing one of the best meal we have had in a long time Pizza was excellent with all fresh ingredients. Salad with homemade blue cheese dressing was outstanding. My wife got the calzone and salad with homemade ranch. All great. Service was friendly and fast considering it is made from scratch. We will be back.

We LOVE this place! We have tried lots of menu items and have never been disappointed! The food is excellent– fresh, good quality, delicious! The staff is awesome– friendly, funny, helpful, generous… they take time with you. This is a hidden gem in Ashe County! We go back every time we are up there! Highly recommend it!

Small mountain community with the best home cooking in all of the south. I mean this area can make a PB&J taste gourmet. This little pizza shop brings a «college pizza joint» feel to the community where the young chefs and servers that work there truly care about the taste that they create. Old fashion country meets Rome, Italy in a college town is one way to describe this place. And if you don’t have cell service…(You probably wont) They have free wifi so you can catch up on all of your contacts and social websites. I know after being in the mountains for a few days with no contact with the outside world this was a nice perk. Most of you may never get to go to this nice place but if you are anywhere near go out of your way to get there.

Who would have ever thought you can get such AMAZING pizza in the tiny mountain town of Lansing NC!!! And who would have imagined putting a loaded baked potato on a pizza crust. The Mountain Man pizza is the most unique pie I have ever tasted, complete with a side of sour cream and/or Ranch. Don’t miss out on the salads either. The Feta Louise is delicious, but I think the Lost Province beats it slightly. I advise you to save room for their oatmeal chocolate chip cookie too. Oh, and did I mention the balsamic & blue cheese dressings are homemade, as is the whipped cream(made with a hint of sour cream) which is offered with the cookie. Oh yea, the chocolate chips are Ghirardelli! Yep, no more calls please … we have a winner!

A truly awesome place. Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. The Mountain Man is especially worth trying. They have the best cookies as well. On top of it all, this place has some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever experienced. If you’re in the area, this is a can’t-miss. If you’re at all near Lansing, you owe it to yourself to stop by.

We had the buffalo chicken and mountain man pizzas. Both were great! The oatmeal chocolate chip cookie was the perfect ending to a yummy lunch. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

I rarely give 5 star ratings, but this pizza place deserves 6! Unbelievable quality! This is, quite possibly, the best pizza experience of my life! Okay, I consider myself a pizza snob, so really hard to impress me with a pie, this place exceeded that! Great friendly service, a home like setting and unbelievably good pizza!

Pizza(‘everything’ pizza?) really was quite good and I ate the crust, which I often leave. I didn’t give it a five rating only because I am stingy with perfection, but I don’t know that I have ever had a better pizza. We bantered with the waitress and she gave as good as she got. It was a very good meal and experience. I am going back on Sunday. While I surely will try another pizza, one of our group this time is on a restricted diet and will probably eat either a sub and/or a salad, so I will be paying attention to that, also. But I don’t know if I could go there and not eat the pizza!

Awesome Pizza!!! If you’re not a big fan of tomato sauce the Mountain Man is the pizza for you!!! The Oatmeal cookies were wonderful too!!!

With very few options for eating out in Lansing it’s nice to find a place like this. My buddy and I stopped here after a day of fishing. Lansing is a tiny one stop light town but this pizza place is legit. It’s very nice inside and the pizza is fantastic. I had a veggie pizza and a salad. It hit the spot perfectly. The service was slow yet friendly. If you’re in the area definitely give this place a try.

Matt is taking Pie on the Mountain to new heights. The pizzas remain wonderful, new local ingredients are showing up on the menu, and salads are great. Try adding a little Benton’s bacon to the Caesar salad. For a real experience let Matt create a unique pie for you!

Best pizza is Ashe County beforeBrickOven closed. Now its the only quality pizza. Buffalo chicken pizza is excellent, meat lovers is outstanding really everything is tasty and the two young women who run it are awesome hosts Only beef is they’re usually a little backed up so if you’re in a hurry you’ll want ti call well in advance for take out orders. Last Note — Do Not order ginger ale. Its a brand with sooo much ginger it tastes like there are jalapenos in it.

I can’t think of anything else to add to the reviews, except to say that the pizza(pie) is the best we’ve ever had.(and I’ve been to europe.) Family run and owned, Sarah and her crew will make sure that you don’t leave there hungry. I highly recommend the Carnivore pizza if you’re a meat kind of guy. We live 4 hours from this place, yet we travel there several times a year to eat.(and you can bet we pass a lot of other pizza places on our way!)

The pizza, the sandwiches, the appetizers and the coffee are all excellent. The soup of day today was tomato bisque made with local goat cheese and was really tasty. The restaurant has an A sanitation rating and I saw regular hand washing by the staff(more than I have seen anywhere else) The young hard working owners live in an apartment above the restaurant with their children.
