This store is not high end, super fancy nor does it carry a number of items I can purchase as Meijer, however it ‘s location is super convenient. That being said, the jewel of this store is Kevin who has worked there 15 yrs or so. He is a sweetheart who checks in on shoppers helping them find what they need, sometimes he is bagging groceries and makes actual conversation with customers(other than the required«did you find everything okay today?» and then as many do, go back to a private conversation with the cashier). I have seen Kevin ask folks how they are doing and be sympathetic to their day, and their challenges as well as share funny short stories of his beloved dog with other dog lovers. Everyone leaves in a better mood after interacting with Kevin.

It’s not high end but it does the job! Relatively friendly staff, decently stocked, convenient location and good hours.

This is arguably the worst Kroger I’ve visited. I know it’s by State’s campus so maybe there are some people in the company that feel it doesn’t have to be the best because well, it’s mainly college students… I’m not one btw. But really, it’s not even the fact that it’s older, small and doesn’t have as many choices as other places, it’s more of an attitude. I’ve been half a dozen times or so and the employees I’ve encountered don’t seem to care. No smiling, not helpful, pretty much don’t care, possibly hate their job. And because of that, I’m going to plan on not visiting. Life’s too short for a Debbie Downer… especially at the grocery store.

Kroger, On those cold MI winter days, afternoons, and nights, you remind me of my Ralphy at home. I even love the fact that I can use my Ralphy card here. I’ma dork, I know. This Frandor Kroger is much smaller than my favorite Lake Lansing location, but it carries all the basics i.e. milk, bread, water, juice, produce, etc. I need when I don’t want to fight the crowds at Meijer. Their customer service station is also my place to get rolls of quarters that I ostensibly waste on the parking meters!
