What a great find in Lansing! And so random as well! I haven’t been in Lansing lately to understand the food scene but I am glad to have used Unilocal to find this random little joint in Reo town for their most well known item — street tacos. The staff was so friendly and it’s a very relaxed, randomly decorated diner that boasts and pretty simple menu of breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers and street tacos. My friend and I ordered a few tacos — for myself, I picked the Hillybilly, Diablo, and El Pollo Loco. The flavors are great and these tacos and freshly prepared for each order. I would love to come here and taste what other goodies are available. I was very tempted to try the cereal shakes which will be a must the next time I’m town!

Very small diner with very good food and service. After reading other Unilocal reviews we decided to give it a try and hoping not too busy at 8 am on Saturday. My husband ordered Monas Omelet topped with Hollandaise sauce. I ordered

This is one of the best hidden gems in town. Their breakfast is awesome and the sandwiches are legit. Try the Jerk sandwich for lunch or the breakfast club in the morning!

Live near REO town and have passed the place many times. Finally decided to try it one day with my mom and I was happy we did! We both got the tacos and because there are so many different options, we each got different ones to try! Absolutely love the pulled pork taco, I think it was called the hillbilly, and the fries were delicious! After we told the waitress that it was our first time here she brought us out a side of their«awesome sauce» to try! It was definitely«awesome»! Would recommend it to anyone looking for lunch! Only downside is that they close at 2!

A great little dive near downtown Lansing. This place has the coolest ambience and some really great food. I had the breakfast club and I honestly would have paid twice what I did for it because it was THAT good. We ended up sitting at the bar which was actually pretty nice. The space isn’t large so there was definitely limited seating. Just a side note… you have to pay a small fee if you use a card here. Other than that I would highly recommend stopping by if you get the chance.

Amazing food at a good price eaten here a few times. For example tacos are so good. I don’t think you can do wrong here

Tiny little breakfast location in a formerly forlorn section of Lansing. A bit of a wait outside, not terrible, and quick service once seated. An intimate cozy diner where the kitchen is visible: so reassuring to see exactly what is going on with your food prep. Will definitely return.

If you say you’re open til 2 you should be open til 2. They turned away people before the close time so beware. As a former server for years I get that you wanna go but it’s just bad practice and shows little consideration for costumes. And don’t start rolling up the mats the everything quarter to the hour as it ruins the rest of the time we thought we had to eat our meals. Tacos were really good. Highly recommend the Jamaican jerk one. I had the breakfast sandwich. Really not good– surprisingly bland. Like a club but too meaty, no crisp lettuce or cool mayo to break it up. Soggy thin bread that can’t hold up to the ingredients. No flavor, just salt. Too much meat. Just blah. Eggs and toast would have been much better.

The food was good and there was plenty of it. I ordered something called the«Hangover» that consisted of pull pork, medium fried eggs, and gravy over biscuits. Not quite my usual breakfast fare, but a suggestion well taken. I’d go again.

I’ve been to this spot several times and will continue coming back for more. The food is AMAZING!!! I’ve tired a couple of the burritos, French toast, and flapjacks all highly recommended. I have never had to wait for a table but they only have space for about 26 people total. If you’re looking for brunch spot to try, stop looking !

Tucked away between 2 Goliath buildings(compared to it) is a small diner. Everything is good here. From big belly busting breakfast burritos to street tacos and eclectic omelettes, it’s a good pace to take a friend for a chat. I suggest trying one of the new menu items which are the cereal milkshakes. I went with the Cinnister which is the perfect mix of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, ice cream and milk — easy way to bring back the kid in you. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They greet you when you enter, they thank you when you leave. This is certainly a hidden gem nestled in REO Town, and a great relief(at least for now) to the lines at Golden Harvest.

This was a small little place and had a wait when we got there, but the line moved quickly and we had a seat within 15 minutes. The servers were prompt in getting our drinks and they were very friendly. I ordered the Veggie Burrito, and my friend had biscuits and gravy with a side of potatoes. My burrito was a very manageable size filled with eggs, avocado, spinach, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, and cheese. There also seemed to be a spicy oil or sauce in there that I really enjoyed. It came with some perfectly crispy and flavorful potatoes and some thick rye toast. While I didn’t try the biscuits and gravy I’ve never heard my friend get so quiet, so I’m assuming that they were spot on! The portions are good, the service is quick and friendly, the kitchen is clean, and the prices are nice and cheap. It’s a win in my book.

I just had breakfast here again today and it was again excellent. Not only are the omlettes tasty with the thin egg envelope I like, but they also had fresh spinach and really flavorful onions(crazy, huh?). I think that part of this place today which also made a significant impression on me was the«vibe», as cliché as that may sound. The place was crowded without having a ridiculous wait(e.g. Golden Harvest), the crowd was noisy but fun, and the staff was really good without being pretentious. I love the experience. It is so great to see the owners working hard and being rewarded for their efforts! Kudos!

It’s a little hole in the wall, but well worth the stop. The food came quick & the quality of the food itself is great. I would recommend this place for all of you breakfast lovers. I ordered the Miklo’s Omelette, which was filled with beef chorizo, potatoes, onions, cheddar cheese, queso fresco, then topped with sour cream & cilantro.

Move over golden harvest. There’s a new sheriff in town. This place is badass. Cool staff great food phenomenal service. Reo town hasn’t been this good since geno’s pizza was down here. Wow just wow. They are not messing around here. The roscoe could possibly be the best thing I’ve ever ate. Fried chicken waffle burrito. Jesus. I need not say more. But I will. My wife had pumpkin French toast with captain Morgan caramel sauce. The potatoes are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. I don’t know how they do it. I don’t care. As long as they keep doing it. I don’t know how the hell I haven’t been here before. This is my new breakfast and possibly lunch spot. Next door to the old Cadillac club on Washington. Don’t be a douche. Eat here.

I walked in at lunchtime on a Sunday, and it was PACKED, despite the empty sidewalk seating. I was seated immediately and left to peruse the smirkable menu. I took my time, and the waitress let me. Once I gave her my order, I soaked in the atmosphere. This isn’t just a diner. It SCREAMS Michigan diner. Bar seating, booths, license plates on the wall, Oldsmobile memorabilia(love me some REO town), the severed heads of parking meters on the booth tables… perfect. The coffee was diner coffee, exactly what I expected, nothing more, nothing less. The shoestring fries were well seasoned, but could have been in the fryer for a bit longer. I can’t blame them, I forgot to order them crispy, and I like them well done. I ordered the mushroom burger on pretzel bun, and my taste buds will be thanking me for the rest of the day. This wasn’t just a mushroom burger, it was a supernova of flavor. I’m fairly certain that my eyes bugged out of my head and I uttered a string of make-a-sailor-proud curses, but I’ll never know, because all I can remember is how good it tasted. If the rest of the food is as good as their burger, I would recommend letting nothing stand in between you and this diner. Not plague, famine, flood, war, death, humidity, or allergens. The Good Truckin’ Diner? I shall return.
