Bill’s After Hours Heating and Cooling

This is a great alternative to using high priced after hours service from the big local HVAC companies. I had a bad ignitor on my furnace and all I really needed was the part replaced. I called Bill, on a 10 degree night, he came out within 90 min., he had the part on his truck, replaced it, and in 15 min. I had heat again. Bill is a nice guy, even gave me a couple tips on furnace maintenance. If you need after hours service on your furnace, CALL BILL!

Bill’s After Hours Heating & Cooling is a great choice for heading & cooling repairs, even if they aren’t «after hours!»
The HVAC unit in my new Condominium worked great for air conditioning this summer, but when I turned it on to get some heat to help dry a painting project, nothing happened. I found Bill’s via Unilocal and gave him a call.
In less than 2 hours, Bill (the owner) showed up, diagnosed the problem and apologized for not being able to repair the problem immediately, as he didn’t have the part. No charge for the visit or estimate!
Without missing a beat, he contacted Lennox, got the part ordered and the next day, showed up and installed it. My total bill, less than most people pay for a repair call without resolution!
On the way out the door after he had completed the repair, Bill noticed my doorknob was loose. Next thing I know, he’s got it off, fixed and put back on. No CHARGE! Amazing Bill! You put the CUSTOMER in Customer Service!
The ONLY reason I’m giving Bill’s 4.5, rather than a full 5 stars is they don’t have a website or use email. I HIGHLY recommend Bill for any Furnace or Air Conditioning repair!

He’s awesome! He’s been to my house 3 – 4 times over the years. Half the time he doesn’t charge because it’s something stupid. His normal rates seem to be $ 50 for easy stuff, $ 100 for hard stuff but don’t quote me on that. He has like 15 – 20 years of experience. He’ll show you how to do easy maintenance on your equipment so you don’t need to call him as much. He’s a one man show and not all fancy, but if you just want your stuff fixed by someone that isn’t a rip-​off he’s the man! He does have a ton of tools and parts. His specialty seems to be «After Hours». He’ll come out at 8:00PM with no extra fees. So far all of his calls to my house have been 1 stop fixes. Thermostats, fans and igniters is all. All were «Easy» fixes.

We called Bill around 6:30 on a very cold and snowy evening because our furnance had quit running. He arrived within two hours after we called.
He got our furnace running, we paid him $ 50 and just as he was about to leave the furnace shut off. Now someone else in his shoes may have just left money in hand. Bill went back downstairs to investigate and spent another 90 minutes working. He finally told us it was a part that he did not carry and that he unfortunately could not fix it. He appeared genuinely disappointed that he could not assist us and gave us the $ 50 back!
It turned out our furnace WAS fixed by what Bill did so we sent him the $ 50. We were absolutely impressed by his integrity, pride in work quality, and knowledge and would highly recommend him to others.
