It is within walking distance of the center of town, there are a few shops on the Avenue to window shop. Local Restaurants sell a thing or two from their menus. A few of those restaurants purchase produce for their restaurants, it is a good deal all around. Some of those restaurants are not open while the market is doing business, but what they have for sale at their stalls gives a good preview of what they have to offer. Seasonal Produce is well represented. Inexpensive to Pricey. Open air farmer’s markets have their good and bad points, their closeness to parking lots and car fumes, to name a few; there is no worry here. Know this market; know the town. Engage the sellers in conversation, talk with them not at them, everything there is to know will be made available to you or directions for better info on the town will be. Right across the street is one of the better Coffee Shops in Delaware County. Fresh Brewed Coffee, pastry and sandwiches, home made, to be sure. Available at the Market There is live entertainment, but do not let the entertainment be your sole reason for coming. All the vendors are not always here. Farmers are controlled by the Season, don’t forget. Weather controls baked and candied goods, keep that in mind. You are what you eat and what you eat here or buy and cook at home will make you a better person. Relax and take your time.

Great farm market with lots of boutique style items, two bakeries, some live music and a knife sharpener! Parking can be challenging as everyone wakes up. BBQ, bake at home pizza, peanut butter, and cupcakes along with the produce and flowers. They have a great newsletter that is amusing and informative as some vendors are only there on certain weeks.

most of my saturday mornings are spent at farmer’s markets… whether working or shopping, and i will easily admit that i really love it being outside, surrounded by people who are happy to be there, and who are equally happy to see you too(it probably doesn’t hurt that i am offering samples of tremendously delicious chocolates) is really gratifying getting to know the farmers, the bakers, the chefs, the cheesemakers, etc behind the goods is wonderful because their enthusiasm and passion is contagious, plus the end result — coming home with a bag filled with local and seasonal deliciousness — never gets old this is a great market, headed by a wonderful market manager named Jen with this being the first year that they are holding once-a-month winter markets, i’d say the residents of lansdowne are really supportive and realize how fortunate they are to have such a great market in town — my first time here and i can’t wait to get back i have to give kudos to my friend Chef Sam — whose spiced lemon lentil soup really hit the spot and made me realize that a return to Sycamore needs to be planned asap(shout out to brendan and zach). and to Chef John of John’s Mini Cakes — whose pot de crème was out of this world the only thing that would have improved this saturday morning, would have been a visit from my lovely friend blake :)

I have been shopping here on Saturdays during the summer since they opened 5 years ago. There are two NJ farms that have been coming since day one, and both have quality produce with friendly and helpful staff. In addition, local foodie businesses are a strong presence — Harvest Natural Foods, Regency Café, Lansdowne Table, Provisions, BT bakery. Number of regional farmers and businesses has increased. I particularly like the small organic stand at the end on the right because they have amazing produce. There’s usually someone offering locally made cheese, and it’s always very good. Thanks to RCN, free WiFi was added this year. Live music most weeks and there’s always a featured local artist. I’ve been to the green markets in other suburbs(Bryn Mawr, Havertown, Swarthmore) and Lansdowne is by far the best of the bunch.

If you are a fan of Chef Sam’s amazing Sycamore restaurant then you may want to visit this very nice outdoor market. Sam has a table here and you can grab some drunken raisins to nibble on in the privacy of your home! There are plenty of other great goodies to sample. This is a Saturday morning market and this morning there were over twenty booths and live music. This is a super place to pick up fresh food and have a generally good time.
