I’m at a loss for words with this store, but I will say that this place has very poor customer service, they are unorganized and the staff is rude. I can not wait until I can collect my belongings and never return.

The staff here are really rude to one another. The doctor yells at the receptionist and they don’t seem to have a good working relationship. I noticed this both my first and second visit. The front staff is either not letting the doctors in the back know what’s going on or the doctors are just unprofessional. or both! I’m sitting in the back waiting to be seen. My appointment was at 4:45pm and it’s now after 5. They are telling customers they«can’t find» their charts. This place is a joke. I’m back because my prescription isn’t working out. The initial exam was so fast that I wondered then if he’d done it right. I think it’s safer for me to get a refund and go somewhere else. I would not recommend coming here unless you are just purchasing contacts with a prescription from somewhere else. These people dont care about your time. I haven’t heard one apology from any staff for the long delay yet(at this point) There’s more… After sitting in the back for over an hour and witnessing 2 people that arrived after me go in for eye exams, I inquired. The receptionist, Rony said my file wasn’t ever taken to the back. WHAT! He’s the person that I check in with and he’s The person that should have taken my file. How dare he act like it wasn’t him! I asked for the manager and demanded a refund. I do not want to do business with this company. The manager said she was coming. After 15 minutes, i was helped by Deanne instead who by the way was very helpful and nice both the first time I came as well as this time. Another great staff is Helene. Like I said, some of the staff is very helpful but unfortunately the business as a whole needs teamwork training, a better communication system and professional doctors. I’ll try somewhere else. Time I left 6:39.a lot of time was wasted.

Just go to another location. They are slow. They need to hire some more people for the front desk. Yes, the employees are nice but you have to have a lot of patience. The fact that I spent 2hrs in there the first time I went says a lot. Then I waited a month for my glasses because they were never ordered from the start. That was realize when I walked in to check the status. I did a walk in because every time I called they were too busy. Overall I love my glasses and my issue is not with America’s Best it’s just the location. I got two free ugly cases, the ones I wanted they said no. They were more money. It’s pretty much go at your own risk. I just so happen to have a bad experience.

The staff is very nice and you can tell they are trying to get things done, but nonetheless my experience has been horrible. I had my contacts ordered from there a week ago. Now they don’t know if they are they’re are not because they have to check with the inventory manger or something like that. On the phone they say that an eye exam cost $ 80 but they add an extra $ 15 dollars to that if you want to check your eyes to see if it has any eye related diseases.(Something any optician would do). So the eye exam bill actually comes out to $ 94. Instead of the advertised $ 80. And they still haven’t called me to tell me my contacts are in, if I ordered them myself the process would have been a lot smoother. How does it sound when they say they don’t know if your contacts were in or not and you paid $ 160 for them? Finally, the eye doctor is not that friendly!

I give it two stars for the customer service. I bought a pair of glasses on 15 Dec 2015 and they told me that it would take 10 days. I just picked up my glasses today 14 Jan 16. I had to call them and check on the status. The glasses are really overpriced. You can go online or other places to find cheaper. I would not recommend this place or return to it again.

If I could give it zero stars or negative stars I would. Americas Best never did anything to remedy a less than poor customer service experience. This«gentleman» made me feel as if he pulled me from the front of the store to hide me at the contact table then made quite a few assumptions about me based on my appearance. The customer service twitter person contacted me by telling me to DM them, but didn’t seem to understand how it worked. Absolutely the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced in 40 years of life.

I called. Thinking I would get better service. I was placed on hold ASAP then after I told them what I needed I was placed on another 15 minute hold. I just hung up. So aggravating, especially when all I need is my prescription!

I feel bad about giving a bad review to this place because the staff there is VERYNICE and they tried VERY hard. The problem is the primary eye doctor. I have never had a more deficient eye exam than I had here. It took about 2 minutes and I was shocked when he said he was done. It is true, he had me read about two lines of text and said that was it. He is also chronically late and sits in the location ignoring customers. Super bad attitude. My glasses were as deficient as the exam so the staff tried to remake them a second time. The second time, they were still terrible so they have a second eye doctor who comes in only on Mondays redo the exam. This second eye doctor was much, much better and after 5 visits and 3 tries on the glasses they got it right. Seriously, I was practically in tears by the fourth visit and they tried very hard to make it right. But the eye doctor is the worst ever and unfortunately, his exam is the basis of the glasses you get. Maybe he is following corporate policy on giving minimal exams but if so, corporate needs to review their standards. Or ask for the eye doctor who comes in one day a week on Mondays. He knows his stuff. EDIT: America’s Best made a huge effort to contact me and make my experience better with them after my review. I can’t really change my original experience that I had but I greatly appreciate the level of customer service that took place after the fact. I upgraded my rating from one star to three. Thank you to America’s Best for making such a nice effort.

I couldn’t find the exact location on Unilocal but this America’s Best is located on 9337 Annapolis Rd, Lanham in the Enterprize Shopping Plaza. I rarely go online and write reviews but the customer service I received at this location in this day and age was superb! From the time I walked into the store till the time I picked my glasses up, I saw nothing but smiles and attention. I got exactly what I needed and wanted from my glasses and for a fraction of the price from any other optical places. I have been wearing glasses for 20+ years and this was by far the best experience I ever had.
