Macy’s

This review is more for the makeup department, since I didn’t venture too far into the store to explore much else.
We came here to look for cosmetics because one of my friends had a sudden rash on her face after using a dirty towel, and we needed to clean up in time for an event. There was a promotion going where you could get matched for foundation and receive 10 days’ worth free of charge. Although there was initially a bit of a wait to be seen (and the woman at the counter even admitted she really «didn’t feel like doing a foundation match»), eventually another employee came over and worked with us.
She was fantastic! Not only was she patient, but she clearly had an eye for what worked and what didn’t and knew her stuff. By the end we were all really happy, and she threw in several very generous free samples (some larger than «sample» size… so maybe they weren’t really samples at all). It really made a big difference and was an incredibly generous and thoughtful gesture.
