Is it possible to give less than 1 star? These people are HORRIBLE! My cousin has had a pre-paid lot for years. She died unexpectedly leaving two cousins as the next of kin. I have tried for a WEEK to get the paperwork to have her buried. I’ve dealt with both Lurdes and Doris(theoretically the manager). Lurdes never got back to me about the paperwork — she was fairly certain I needed a notarized document from each cousin and was going to send it to me. I called a week later and got Doris who was going to call me by COB. She didn’t. When I called back at 4:57 she was«away from her desk». I finally told the receptionist that my Georgetown lawyer son(true) would be contacting them on Monday. Magically, she called me back in 5 minutes! But still had no idea what I needed to do! She thought my family members needed to send an email giving them permission to bury her(we are all 2 – 3,000 miles away and want her best friend to have permission to take care of things — no can do). Thus far I can’t tell if they are just inept or liers also. What I do know is I have 3 very upset 80+ year old women and a mortuary who has highly questionable business practices. Not the way to treat a grieving family.

Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary provided excellent service, combined with knowledge, compassion, and understanding. Our loved one received a tribute that wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the caring Staff. They will not pressure you into making purchases that are above your budget; they assist with every little detail up until the last minute.
