First off, I had no idea this place had several violations by state health inspectors, or I’d have never gone there to begin with. That being said. We were seated quickly and our waiter was extremely friendly. We ordered our breakfasts, and after waiting for nearly a half hour, we were served greasy, slimy, undercooked eggs, rock hard toast, and a fried steak prepared in rancid grease. Our waiter was more than happy to try to correct this. Eggs were taken back and redone. Eggs #2 were over cooked, and the yolks was completely hard. A manager came over when the eggs were sent back a 3rd time. Eggs #3 were absolutely swimming in grease, to the point that you could tip the plate and grease was running off. At this point, we were over it and asked if we could have our bill for the drinks. The owner was there to greet us at the counter and attempted to charge us $ 14 for the uneaten, untouched breakfasts. Ummmmm… No. I don’t think so. I told him we would happily pay for the drinks we consumed, but we were not paying for the food. He insisted that yes, we were. I told him why would I pay for food we hadn’t eaten? He proceeded to call me a bad customer in front of an entire lobby of people, that if all his customers acted like we did, that he’d be broke and out of business, and told me that I was never welcome in his restaurant again and to get out immediately. He also said that in 8 years he’d never heard such a thing. so I guess everyone on Unilocal is full of it. Lol. I honestly can’t wait to see this establishment closed, and believe me, if they keep serving food like that it will be by the end of the year. That’s if the health department doesn’t close them down first. Not only are they disgusting and a health hazard, it’s run by a narcissistic, greedy, macho sociopath that blames his customers for his incredible lack of management and people skills. I feel sorry for the employees that have to deal with him. Seriously, don’t go here. Customers are nothing more than dollar bills to this guy, he cares only about filling his pockets, and if you don’t like bad food well then that’s your problem.

I have been frequenting this Denny’s for years. It was never great, and that is a shame because they have great choices on the menu. II think I will have to stop going there especially after reading the repeated restaurant violations on Lancaster on Line. The list was huge and disgusting and at a later follow up nothing much had changed. The place is filthy. I was seated and then waited ten minutes before I was asked if i was being helped. I ordered one of my favorites and asked if all the condiments that came with it were available, and they were not. The previous time they were also not available, but I didn’t know that until the food came. Such things need to be mentioned or removed from the menu for the day. That is why I asked, so I changed my order and when my food came the eggs were fine but the bacon and sausage were cold, and the potatoes had a weird flavor. No one came by to ask how it was or to see if I needed a refill. There is a big sign hanging above the tables about a manager coming to check on each table… he never did… and I know why, because he doesn’t want to hear the complaints… the same way he won’t fix violations. I guess he doesn’t care, and it shows.

Danger, Will Robinson! Keep reading! Had a greasy but perfect egg skillet thanksgiving morning after running the Millersville turkey trot. Tasted great, but my gastro — economy was not prepared for that, plus a thanksgiving dinner. Big mistake. Service was good, waiter friendly, and price was right. But after seeing the writeup in the resturaunt inspections in the lancaster newspaper this weekend, I’ll quit tempting fate and be glad my visit had the consequences it did. Could have been worse!

Long wait time, cold food, and burnt toast. This Denny’s is the worst I’ve ever been to. The server was a nice guy and did his best. Major bummer going out to eat with family and you are all hungry, wait and wait, and only to have food come out cold. Thumbs down.

This place smelled like vomit. Literal vomit. Pretty sure someone puked while eating this disgusting garbage they try to say is edible. Do not ever, and I mean ever consider eating at this horrible grunge hole. I’d like to give negative stars if possible.

We went to Denny’s restaurant #8816. It was terrible. I have to say there have to be at least 8815 better Denny’s out there. This location has been going downhill rapidly. We arrived at approx. 10pm, not am when you would expect it to be busy and they might have an excuse for the shoddy food/service. The only good thing about this trip was that the greasy manager wasn’t working. It was a very lovely overworked under supported woman. This location is hiring for every position. I think they should just close down until they fire the entire kitchen staff and just start over. To start with, we had been seated next to a couple that got their food just after we ordered. The woman ordered some sort of salmon dish(big mistake on her part) with mashed potatoes and gravy. There was no gravy on the potatoes. She immediately asked for the gravy and then waited while her partner ate his entire meal. They had to ask for the gravy twice. It took 20 minutes for the gravy to arrive and when it did it was burnt(and of course her potatoes were cold by then). They asked to see the manager and had to wait about 15 minutes for her to arrive. I can only guess that the manager was busy at the tables behind me trying to solve their issues. We were sitting directly across from the pass and not a single tables order crossed the pass correct. The servers caught most of the issues. After being there for about a half hour our server came over to the pass and asked the cook why a certain ticket wasn’t done yet. He put it in before several others that already came out. Apparently the cooks«didn’t get» our ticket. We then waited at least another 15 minutes for our food. We should have walked out right then. Sadly, we didn’t. My husband ordered a grand slam with eggs over easy and white toast. He received overcooked eggs — no «dippy» to be found on that plate and black toast. I ordered the cinnamon pancakes with a side of rye toast(which they must have just waved over the toaster) and a side of 4 pieces of turkey bacon(I received 3). A family a couple of tables down from us ordered something that came with queso and they received some large piece of white plastic in the bowl of queso. I have no idea what that could have been. The female night cook spent the first half hour we were there complaining about everything to the other two cooks before she started making anything. But the entire time she finally did start cooking she was more concerned with stuffing her face than serving the few customers that they had. I suggest staying away for at least a month if you wish to go to this Denny’s. By then they will have lost so much money on discounts and comping meals that they will have to have replaced the entire kitchen staff.

The only comment I have to make, DONOTEATHERE!!! Food is greasy and disgusting. Staff is rude. It seems to be a place that is run by management that just got out of High School. In my Opinion this place needs to be inspected by the Department of Health. Places like Denny’s should not be serving food!

Pleasantly surprised that this place cleaned up their act. Newly remodeled the layout is much better, as is the décor. Bathrooms are a huge improvement. Gone are the days of toilet paper gone awry and flooding from clogged toilets. The food could still use some improvement, less salt, and does not resemble the dishes featured in the menu. Service was good and prices were fair. Just needs some more tweaking in the kitchen…

Love coming here for late night breakfast, get the blueberry pancakes they are always so fresh and hot! The pancake puppies are a safe bet too, and the hash browns are good too, especially with cheese and bacon!

Had a great evening. Service and food was excellent. Be sure to try their build your own skillet. You get to fill your skillet with healthy options. It’s like eating comfort food that’s healthy and you get to control what’s on your plate. Loved being able to opt out of potatoes which are loaded with carbs.

The food is good, but its hard to get good service. They say they are under new management, but I think that it is only going down hill and not getting better. Plus I heard from someone that works there that when the new management came in that everyone had to start over at day 1 with benefits and vacation.

This place is always crowded but the wait is usually no more than a few minutes. Plus the local paper usually has some useful coupons. Of course this is the kind of food that clogs your arteries while your eating it but it is still pretty decent. I had a make your own chicken wrap off the $ 6 menu and it is better than it sounds. I like the fact that the kids menu offers healthy sides of veggies with dip or fruit, or even goldfish crackers rather than the usual side of fries. It costs less than $ 40 for 4 people, and that included drinks and a small appetizer of loaded fries. Not bad for a quick lunch at a convenient location.

I used to come here all the time in High School. I don’t know why. The food at Denny’s is… average at best… but sometimes you just crave a French Toast Slam! The staff at this particular Denny’s is pretty legit though. The servers are all friendly for the most part, and some of them still remember me even after all these years. If the food wasn’t so bad, I could give it 4-stars, but it’s Denny’s. You can’t really expect much as far as cuisine goes. Still, you can’t complain about a restaurant that serves it’s late night munchies purpose.
