Aroogas has the shittiest bar service I may have ever encountered. If you ask Megan what type of rub the garlic Romano is, she won’t be able to tell you, because she’s never had it before. If you wanna know how many wings are included in the kids meal, she’d «imagine about 5 or 6»… After I leaned in to ask her if she just started, she informed me that No, she didn’t just start, But she’s a bartender and wouldn’t know anything about the kids meals because she doesn’t know«what goes on out there».(Which I’m assuming she meant in the server world, out from behind the bar) She showed us she was very attentive(not) by allowing empty glasses to sit 10 minutes at a time as we impatiently waited for her to stop chatting with another bartender and come our way so we could wave her down… Only to take our order while digging something out of her eye with her fingers and occasionally scratching at her nose or bare chest. No, Megan. You are not a bartender. You do not belong behind a bar or even«out there». I’m not sure where they get these people, but Aroogas needs to carefully select people that meet the qualifications for a busy bar environment and properly train them. Personality, skill, awareness and knowledge of the business menu should be key. All in which Megan lacked. I am a bartender. I can be very critical when I am the one being served; as I have high expectations, considering I am very good at my job. However, It was a horrendous experience and I will never go back. The only good thing about Aroogas tonight, was nothing.

Menu is great, food and beer selection are pretty good … But the service continues to completely suck… Can’t blame the kitchen or bar for lack of attentiveness or poor table side manner(or forgetting to bring beverages and silverware then acting like its a bother that I asked about it) … On this particular trip I was about thirty feet from the patio door which meant I was basically in the smoking section as there is no buffer zone… All in all my meal was not enjoyable despite the food being good and it is increasingly unlikely that I return even though it is one of my kid’s favorite places… The only good service in the place are the food runners/bussers who are running their butts off and taking it all in stride with a great attitude all while being under appreciated…

Nice looking place! But over rated! Food was just average, tasted not fresh and came cold. Service was also not very good! We even told our bartender that our wings were cold and she just said oh and continued on. Very overpriced for just blah food! We do not recommend if you are going for a good meal! If you want the bar experience than by all means try it!

Aroogas is great for wings hands down. Just like any major wing restaurant, the wings are over priced though. The rest of the menu is just ok. I do have to say though that the food is better here than at their location in Hershey. I usually get the buffalo chicken sandwhich which is always good. My favorite sauce is the buffalo bay sauce. The atmosphere is great for a sports fan. There are TVs everywhere. They have game pads that you can request from your server. You can follow along with the game on one of their tv’s. The bar is huge and they offer a wide selection of beers.

Nothing unique about this sports bar. Typical setting with tons of tv’s, fair bar food, and lots of seating. Misses the«hometown» sports feel as there are too many games on and it’s such a huge place. I miss Symposium as there was live music and a cozier feel. This is like Buffalo Wild Wings. Real«sports bars» should have sports games(darts, foosball, pop a shot, Golden Tee, trivia etc…). The idea of a sports bar is now trendy microbrews at high prices, no music, impersonal bartenders, and no banter… I’d rather stay home.

Thought I’d stop in been hearing a lot of good things about this place. Great beer specials during happy hour. The food on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered the Kobe Burger. I’ve had other Kobe burgers other places and they were great. Three different times I bit into this burger and hit Rock like pieces in the burger. Totally turned me off. Thought this was a fluke so I revisited the place two days later to order wings. Smallest skimpiest wings I have ever had. The bones underneath the meat were like black and red. Again turned me off. The sauce was excellent though. I will give it at least that. Needless to stay with two bad experiences within the same week I will not be eating their food there anymore. Great atmosphere. Nice place to stop just for drinks.

I had the wings and ribs never again will i eat here but the beer was crisp, cold and the price of the beer was fair. My date didn’t like the onion rings but loved her wrap…

Wings — Sauces are awesome. It’s hit or miss if they put enough sauce on them. Other items on the menu are hit or miss also. The crab pretzel is good unless you had the one at the G-man in Hershey, then it misses the mark as Arooga’s is pretzel bread where the G-man was an actual pretzel the size of the plate. Nacho’s weren’t as good. They cook them in the oven to melt the cheese, so you’ll have burnt chips with soggy chips. Ribs were good as you get to select from the great list of sauces. Burgers are good, lots of toppings. Cheese fries that you add as a side miss the mark as the ranch is extra and you have to beg them to bring it to you. The side of cheese fries is better and usually gets to you warm, when the fries at their best. The menu has a great selection(unlike BWW) and I’m still working my way through it. And of course the beer selection is great, but the weekly incentives to come in aren’t there yet.

Okay, I thought I did not have to do this but now I realize I have to write one more review and this will be my last one. I will not set foot into this place again if there would not be any food left on this earth… so I might, in that case, die of hunger but not from any food related illnesses. I hope this review will get someone’s attention and something will be done here. We ate here today and we ordered pretzel dogs for the child in our party. One would think that it is fastfood so it’s deep fried or oven fried. One would also think that the kitchen staff would know what the temperature of the food needs to be, for it to be cooked thoroughly and per food specifications. One would think all of that would be required when running any kind of food service or food establishment. I must be mistaken. The picture of the pretzel dog will clearly show the inside of the pretzel was not cooked at all. It was slimy cold dough. The bacon on it was cold, the cheese was not melted and the hot dog itself was only warm. I leave it up to everybody else to draw their conclusions. After calling the manager she said«I am sorry we’ll bring out another pair of dogs» .no thanks not necessary. We ordered a plate of their famous«deep fried» COOKED chips, well let’s say one more time. one would think the cooks would know… some of the chips were not cooked through. how much worse can this get. we asked for the check… at this point I did not want to deal with anything else but pay and get out of there. Wouldn’t you know. the BADPRETZELDOGS were taken off the bill, but we had been charged for the chips we ordered instead. GREATCUSTOMERSERVICE. My tip… find a manager that knows what it takes to run a business that serves food and is familiar with the food requirements before someone gets sick… Maybe beer and alcohol will kill«bad things in an adult stomach» but when you are serving food to children you want to pay special attention to their wellbeing?! We just happen to be there while a children’s birthday party was taking place. So parents be aware. This will conclude my final review of Arooga’s.

I had dinner at Arooga’s with family last night. We had a large-ish party of 8 and called ahead, so we didn’t have much of a wait when we arrived. It’s a sports bar, so there are TVs basically everywhere that you look with various games and programs on. They also have an interactive trivia game that you participate in via a tablet at your table. If you were ever at a Damon’s prior to them shutting down, this is very similar. We started with wings(with the original hot sauce), and they were great. Plenty of sauce, and the amount of heat was just right. They give you celery and carrot sticks on the side, but our order came with basically two sticks of each. Our waitress did bring more when we asked, which we appreciated. I had the jalapeño lime fajitas. The onions, peppers, chicken, and shrimp are served in a sizzling skillet topped with a spicy sauce. You’re also given sour cream, jalapeño slices, cheese, salsa, and tortillas so that you can build your fajitas. The portion was huge, with enough«supplies» for five fajitas(couldn’t finish them). Overall it was okay, but I wasn’t blown away by the flavor. Oddly enough I enjoyed the chicken and shrimp more when I tasted them alone without everything else. Maybe the flavor was just lost among everything else. Overall, not bad and not great. I did really enjoy the wings and would get them again, especially with all of the sauce options offered.

Today was my first Arooga’s experience and I can not wait to go back for more! The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. I had the pleasure of interacting with quite a few employees and I enjoyed the conversation with every single one of them. The GM Alex went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and made sure we enjoyed the full Arooga’s experience. I can not wait to go back to experience the atmosphere when there is a live sporting event going on TV. Or to sit on the patio on a nice fall evening around the fire pit tables. The food was A M A Z I N G. I had a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded delicious. After lots of drooling I finally decided… for an appetizer I ordered The crab pretzel and I can say that I WILL be ordering this again every single time I go to Arooga’s! OHEMGEE it was fabulous!. And the Stromboli… yum yum yum! Not many places make their original bolis with mustard… Arooga’s does! I wouldn’t have it any other way! I was very impressed with my entire visit and will definitely recommend this location for future lunch outings and happy hours!

I will have to pass on this place. My first visit was great, wings were cooked and sauced to perfect and I couldn’t wait to come back but since they are in the Lancaster, York Pa area it’s not so easy being from NJ. So we’re shopping in Lancaster for the day so I was excited to come back. What a disappointment. I actually did something I never do! I sent the wings back and told them how to finish the deal. Wings were under cooked and the fries had so much old bay on them they were practically inedible. The reviews reflected mediocre food but I decided against my better judgement based on my first experience. Shame on me. I will admit the service was very good and the place is a nice place to hang out in. Lotsa TV’s roomy and clean. So sad the food doesn’t reflect the same. Save yourself the trip if you’re hungry. Too many other options in the area. No pic’s they didn’t deserve any.

Aroogas is an awesome sports bar. My friend and I got there around 7:30 on a Saturday, and it was a 45 minute wait — we didn’t mind waiting because when we actually were seated service was quick! I had their wings with mildly hot sauce and it was delicious! They also have awesome fries. Lots of food options. They had quite a few beers to pick from as well as a bunch of margaritas. Clean, fast, and tasty. The only suggestion I could make would be to cut down on wait time, but overall it was a positive experience.

Been to the location twice since it opened. Overall, the restaurant was not ready or well trained enough. I had to send food back both times because it was cold or not what was expected. Arooga’s isn’t a nice place to eat. They just need to get it together on Centerville road!

Ambience — alot of tvs with every game playing which was nice. Tv at table was clutch but poor quality. Tvs were poor quality from where we were sitting, must be sponsored by Vizio or something not as good compared to bdubs sponsored by samsung. Overall tv layout was great though. Seats kind of cramped though which I didn’t like. I am an average male height of about 5’8 and so are my friends and we sat really low to the ground at a booth which made us spread out our legs which called for bad foot placement under the table which was weird. 7⁄10 for bad seating and sub par tvs Beer selection — alot of beers on tap which surprised me. Great beer selection with local beers and fan favorites. They need to get specials asap! But they also served my beer in a frozen glass which is something you should never do! They need to stop that asap!!! 9⁄10 now for beer selection but when specials come 10⁄10 Wing size — big wings, good amount of sauce. Sauce isn’t as good as I remember, didn’t like their hot sauce, it was hot but it was a weird hot for me. Not digging the sauces and I tried 4: super blue actually was really good, suicide was hot, lousiana garlic ehh didn’t like the mild sauce and needed more garlic, almost everything good but again weird hot flavor taste .blue cheese needed more chunks and was a little running but not that bad, Stuck to the wing pretty good. Gave us boats to put our wings as well which was nice and presentation of wings in a plastic boat on top of celery and blue cheese in plastic boat was nice saving table room and placement .8÷10 Other factors — fries looked good, salad look big and good, alot to choose from on the menu, great variety and things to choose from. Bar scene looked nice, pretty packed but it was a sunday Final thoughts — cramped with bad seating and an okay server that I’ve had already and mediocre tvs with a weird wing hot sauce… not that same aroogas I remember when I first came. But still good food, fun time watching game with friends. I will rate 8⁄10 which is lower then loafs but I was indifferent about it.

The 1-Star is for the great atmosphere. This is hands down a great sports bar, with good beers… and that’s it. We have many in Lancaster. These guys spent a lot of money(not much on the TVs, though…42“rs throughout… bring your glasses) to make the old Symposium a really neat facility. The 1-Star is also for the absolute terrible table service, so-so food, terrible table service, bad teamwork among the employees, terrible table service, and a 95% chance your food order gets twisted horribly. Rough. We had 3 different employees lie to us about why our order was messed up. We couldn’t stop laughing after each one came separately to our table to blame the other one… and the poor kitchen staff(who prepares what orders they’re given). So: — I will drink here — I will watch football here — I will never bring my family/friends to eat lunch or dinner here — I totally understand why Wegman’s will not build in Lancaster… the average IQ of the population, and it’s potential employees, is scary LOW… I see that in Arooga’s Lancaster.

Awesome selection of wings and draft beers. Large indoor and outdoor bar areas. Two floors of seating. Large menu selection of pub food. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Took parents for their first Aroogas experience tonight and I surely won’t be their last. Everything from the jalepeno lime boneless wings, to the flatbread, the Chipolte Mac n Franks, and the Pittsburger were delicious! The beer selection alone makes it worth the trip. Our waitress, Devin, was very helpful and attentive but, by all means not hovering. Even found out that they will welcome our fur babies on the patio which is hard to find in Lancaster.
