I love this place so so much. I’ve only been volunteering for a week and have learned so much. Karen, the founder is an amazing soul. I’ve never met anyone as kind, and genuinely caring as she is. This rescue needs all the help it can get so please contact her for volunteering opportunities!!!

Shoestring City Ranch is 100% volunteer non-​profit. The founder, Karen, offers lessons and volunteering opportunities, all centered around good horsemanship and proper care. The horses here are «rescues» and you can tell that Karen, and the volunteers here really love them. This place is unlike any other I’ve been to. You won’t just ride a horse without first meeting him/​her and being taught how to conduct yourself in a safe, gentle and respectful manner. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to learn about horses, riding lessons, volunteer, or even to get their hands a little dirty for a good cause.
