Oakbrook Golf and Country Club

My friends and I played Oakbrook today and the weather was amazing. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the golf course. The course condition was in a horrible condition due to multiple trees that were cut down. My expectation of a course that I pay $ 70 dollars per round should be in a dissent condition, or at least let your clients know before charging them. Also, it was a very hot day and they had no beverage cart through out the whole day, and they also had snack bar closed during the turn. It was a frustrating and a dehydrating day of golf at Oakbrook.
Think twice before making a tee time at this course. This was a solid golf course before the new owners took over… :-(

The mighty have fallen. Played 12 years of junior golf at this course and have never seen it in worse shape. We waited 3 months after they cut down the trees and there are still piles upon piles of shredded wood, in play, on the course. Add that on top of ridiculous green fees ($ 81 per person riding) no sand in the bunkers, the snack bar not having deli sandwiches at 12:45pm, the greens obviously took a beating which is why they cut them down obviously, and you have to pay for practice balls on the driving range. Even the simple things one person could do drive me nuts such as no water in the ball washers. I am in the customer service industry and it makes me sad playing here. I understand somethings are out of their control with the greens and such but to charge this price without any practice balls or anything is crazy to me.
Go play another course and let Ryan Moore and his RMG club find their money from someone else.

Played here for the first time today. Compared to many of the other public courses in the area and in this price range… it’s a great value. Greens fees were $ 45 with an additional $ 15 each for cart. The course was in nice condition. It’s a residential course in a nice neighborhood… but the houses are basically right on the course. They got our twosome out right on time and we never had to wait on a single hole… We got the round done in just over 3 hours.
The course has a lot of tree-​lined fairways with a lot of houses right along the edges (lots of opportunity to hit out of bounds). The greens were in great shape and ran at a consistent, moderate pace. I definitely plan on playing here again.
Oh, and they’re running a membership special where you can join for $ 119/​month (12 month commitment) and get unlimited golf. That’s a great price!

Nice course, checked out the website and it said green fees $ 39 so we made tee times online Monday. Got there Saturday to pay and they charged us $ 49. The guy at the counter said the airiated greens healed faster than expected and then he told me that all holes had temps because of the frost and when we paid, the guy told the cashier to be to change the total from 39 to 49 because the computer was still charging winter rates. Not that good of a first time experience for a Ryan Moore owned course. :-(

Very nice course for a very nice price!

beautiful course. just became a public course. if you wanna play a great course and enjoy the walk it ends up being about 7 miles. from the tips the course is extremly difficult. the whites I can handel. lots of bunkers. great par threes. I hit one here 350 yards yahoooooo. par fives are long. it’s getting a little busy now but great course twilight is only 25 that’s a steal. one great course. yeah me I broke 90 the other day.
