Im settled in now. Very pleased with Mountain Vista Apt. I was moving by myself across the counrty & starting a new job too. The staff at Mountain Vista apts. were more than helpful, friendly and encouraging. They made the application process so easy. Everything was done quickly & efficiently over the internet. It was completed & approved quickly. I drove 16 hrs straight through, arrived at the leasing office to quickly receive my keys to my new place. I really appreciated that. My apt is a 1 bedroom with great views of the Denver skyline which is beautiful at night all lit up. right behind the complex is Green mountain, part of the foothills that has multiple trails to walk & breathe in the great outdoors. it is so convenient to any store, bank or business you may seek. Red Rocks college is minutes away with bus access half a block down. The mountains and I-70 are right here too. The beauty of the West is breathtaking. My apt itself is great. Completely remodeled! Laundry facilities just downstairs. My neighbors are quiet, friendly &respectful which is great since I work a swing shift, including nights. The apt units have an outdoor entrance/walkways which means no loud, stinky, dirty hallways. If there is any issue with your unit, maintenance is able to quickly resolve & fix the problem. They have 2 pools & are about to open the new fitness center on grounds(it looks really nice) The only negatives I can report are the old windows that could be replaced but mine are fine and fully functional. One thing that surprised me is how pet friendly they are here. I left my furry loves with my family in Chicago but was surprised to see all the pups here when I arrived. The free internet is nice but can be slow at times of multi tenant use but if thats the worst thing to complain about, Ill take it! Happy and loving my new life here!!! Come on over & live the Rocky Mountain life :)

Cheapest apartments I could find in Lakewood because I knew I wouldn’t be staying long. But… If you’re going to live cheap, you have to expect cheap. Little did I know my apartment would be flooding… twice The crew was great. They came late at night to fix the problem that was not caused by us. The management even put us up in their model home while the apartment was drying. They replaced the carpet and put all our heavy belongings back to place. I really commend the grounds men for a job well done. I even made them cookies for their efforts! They really went above and beyond to help us. Thanks!

Oh no, now you know where I live! I don’t see many folks here reviewing places to live, so I’ll start a trend, okay? These are average size, fairly cheap apartments in a nice area. The cheapness does tend to attract loud people and the kind of folks who the police get called on every once in a while– but mostly people leave each other alone. Small dogs, cats, and caged pets are permitted, with the odd exclusion of reptiles, ferrets, and rabbits. I do know that several neighbors own reptiles, so it seems that they aren’t too Draconian in their pet policy enforcement– I prefer not to test the limits, though, other than occasionally having one more foster kitten than I’m supposed to. Maintenance and management are at least cordial, and sometimes surprise me by going out of their way to be helpful. Most maintenance requests are solved within a day or two– less if they’re urgent. When I first moved in, my refrigerator’s door wouldn’t close, and within a day of complaining, the old one was carted out and a new one installed with no effort or expense on my part. I’ve also had maintenance come put a new window screen in after mine fell out. I’ve had one or two personality conflicts with management, but nothing that didn’t blow over– neighbors were throwing food out on the lawn, which my dog ate and got sick, and I was peeved that all they did was put a notice on the door, and the behavior continued! After my second complaint, they put a really threatening notice on the door, and it stopped. I at one point gave my 30 days notice(then took it back after my move fell through) and my pro-rated rent was calculated incorrectly; they did give me a refund rapidly after I noticed the mistake. Overall, average, but a good, cheap place short term– you can probably find a better place for the same price, depending on your needs, but it’s easy and not bad at all.
