I love, love, love Kin Ja! Every time I have gone to this place it has been delicious — the chicken is lean and tasty and veggies are always fresh. My favorite is the hot bowl, which is very inexpensive and a very filling lunch. The only drawback to Kin Ja is it is not super fast — so if you are in a hurry or on your lunch hour, consider calling to place your order ahead of time.

I can’t say anything about the restaurant itself, as I never set foot inside. But my chicken udon noodle soup was delicious. It was a big portion with plenty of chicken and plenty of noodles.

Just ordered fried rice, got home and there was hair in it. Not just one strand. Called and let them know and got hung up on.

This place is great. I love their Chicken Teriyaki. It comes with a good amount of chicken, two rice scoops and a side salad. If you get it for dine in you can enjoy free soup and hot tea. The food items primarily range under $ 10. The are closed on Sundays. I do agree that you need to add your own napkins and chopsticks or forks if you take it to go. A tip: try to call ahead to place your order since they do get busy and you may need to wait. I wish you could chose to have a small container for soup to go, still this place is worth checking out.

Hole in the wall with awesome teriyaki. They have a great menu with delicious food and nice portions. You can definitely share a meal. The spicy teriyaki is amazing. No complaints here.

**FYI…they do NOT provide the to-go orders with napkins OR forks! Strange, I know… so make sure and grab some BEFORE walking out!

Best teriyaki place ever. They are polite. Comes in huge portions for the price. Everything on the menu is amazing. I don’t go anywhere else for Chinese and teriyaki.

The only good thing we had was the fried rice. The service was none existent. They had us pay and tip before eating and never checked on us. We also go our food after someone else who ordered a to go order after we had been waiting for a few minutes at our table. The Bulgogi doesn’t taste anything like Korean beef, nor does the sauce taste Korean. You also might as well pass on the free egg drop soup as I am pretty sure it was made up of frozen vegetables, chicken broth, and some egg whites. Don’t waste your time or money.

Have been there on two different occassions the first time was with my sister for a quick lunch. Ordered the kalbi dish and found a hair in my food in which I was refunded for the meal. Left it at that and told myself never again. I decided to visit there again a few months later since my son liked their fried rice so much and it was his choice for dinner that night. I was a little sketchy but decided to give it a try again under the hopes that the experience this time around would be better. WRONG! I regretted it because once again… I found a hair in my food and I ordered the same thing from the first time. I was thoroughly disgusted and was refunded for both our meals and we left. Granted I live right down the street from the restaurant I will go out of my way to go to another teriyaki restaurant. Their food is a little overpriced compared to other Teriyaki places and their servings are small for the amount you pay. I prefer Hot Teriyaki in the Thunderbird plaza to satisfy my kalbi cravings and will never visit this place again.

Felt super bad I came in 15 min before they closed.(Made sure to tip big lol) None of the employees seemed annoyed at all, they’re super friendly. Amazing food, I rarely get teriyaki but I had a craving and this surpassed the place I normally go! This is my new choice for teriyaki!

I travel a lot and find teriyaki joints are a safe bet. I found this one on Unilocal and saw it had good ratings. After eating here I know why. Excellent food and service. I had the spicy chicken teriyaki bowl; it was actually spicy and it was a good amount. They char grill the chicken nicely and don’t drown it in sauce. The veggies were steamed and not overdone. Also they offer free egg drop soup and hot tea. I’ll definitely be back!

One of the best teriyaki places in the Lakewood/Ft. Steilacoom area! Service is always fast even during lunch and dinner rushes and they are quick when doing take-out. Food is always good and the prices are really reasonable.

So the old owner is back. Worth eating again. Even put kim chi in my fried rice. For three bucks. You can’t have fried rice without it, really.

Recently remodeled, and the original owner returned, the food is even better and service is still great. They serve rice and noodle dishes. Try the General Tso’s chicken, Teryaki Chicken, Tempura, Pad Thai or any of the noodle dishes. Eating in? Hot tea and Egg drop soup are complimentary. Buy a fountain drink or bottled beverage from a large selection — including Sobe. Portions are good sized and light eaters who eat in should find the to go boxes easily located at the soup stand to take the great tasting leftovers home. This is by far the best in Lakewood. Call ahead or drop in for to go.

Quite pleasant. We sat down and a nice lady delivered some menus to our table. She got busy with to-go orders and so we did not know whether we should go up and order or wait for her assistance. The previous couple actually walked in, ordered up front, and paid. Then sat down as their food arrived. We just sat their for about 5 minutes until we hesitated to walk up and order. The lady apologized for being late but we understand, many to-go customers were coming in. We ordered our food and sat back down. There was self-serve water and hot tea, now the tricky part was: the soup in the pot. We were debating whether it only comes with a certain meal or if anyone can help themselves to it. The lady never mentioned anything. A gentleman who came to pick up his to-go order waited and sat down to have some soup. I suppose anyone could help themselves to soup. We ended up getting one bowl for my sister. Our food came out!(Yay). I haven’t had Chicken Teriyaki in sooooo long! I have been staying away from the meats and anything with teriyaki sauce(my favorite sauce). My siblings had the Chicken Yakisoba(was on the sweet side but tasted decent) and the Chicken Pad Thai. I haven’t seen Pad Thai made at a Teriyaki shop before. I come for Teriyaki at a Teriyaki shop c: Overall, I would come back! Tasted good. The sauce wasn’t too salty and the typical House salad dressing was catchy.
