Cheap? No… Penny pincher? No… I prefer frugal. Frugal it is.
Why pay full retail price for jeans? Or a t-​shirt? Or a belt, pillows, socks, hats, candles, sunglasses, cologne, watches, or anything else?
Seriously why would you? I get a bunch of my clothing here, saving at least 30%, sometimes 50%, SOMETIMES even 60%+. It is the same items at regular retailers, but just marked down.
Yeah, the selection isn’t as good, nor guaranteed, especially for a tall dude like myself. Yeah, it is hit-​or-​miss a decent amount of the time.
But overall, I usually get what I need, what I came in for, at a price I like. Plus, they have coupons and random things like that, making it even better.
Always worth a shot stopping in if you’re looking for something. They often get me for more than I was originally intending to purchase. This place can be dangerous!

I used to work at a Gordmans and it hasn’t changed all this time later (even when changing locations). Sure, you’ll find some deals with their clearance items, but for me there is almost never anything in my tall & slim size.
And most importantly, there are never have enough cashiers. Their price check system is still archaic and hasn’t changed in the 10 years since I last worked there. Lack of cashiers hasn’t changed either.
If you find clothes that fit you and you like them, then that’s great. Just not my store (and you can’t statisfy everyone).

Holy God, I love Gordmans. This is one store I miss being able to go to now that I moved to Texas. (I know, can you believe they don’t have Gordmans?! Neither could I! A little piece of me grieved inside when I learned that). I always find something here. I have found some really cool stuff on the clearance racks, including a cute peasant top for $ 2. The prices are awesome, WAY better than Kohl’s and they withhold the snobby air that Kohl’s seems to have now. This is one of the few places I could spend a ton of money in if I lacked my already sometimes-​poor self-​control. It has its off-​times, though. I’ve come in a few times with a sparse selection to be had. So, though it is hit-​or-​miss, it usually doesn’t do me wrong.

The selection at this one could be better. Compared to the Aurora gordmans. Prices are still reasonable. Could have more 2x and 3x sizes.

This was my first experience at a Gordman’s. Came here with a friend who was shopping for kitchen gear on the cheap for her new place. We didn’t look around too much – mainly just the kitchen stuff – but I still found some good deals.
Thanks to a Unilocal thread, I’ve had my eye out for cheap glass food containers. Found ‘em! Here at Gordman’s I got a three-​piece bowl set for $ 10. I also got some individual pieces for $ 3-​$ 5. Today at Target I saw a three-​piece set for $ 18.

They had lots of interior design elements (pottery, candles, diffusers, rugs, metal art pieces, wall hanges, etc.) that I might come browse sometime. Then again, no interior design sense have I, so that trip may be way later rather than sooner. Still, for housewares and possibly gifts or clothes that are a bargain, I will return.
