Every time I come in they are very friendly. The fried okra and Mac n cheese are awesome. Greats meats and sauces.

Yikes. My main meal was the brisket and it was ice cold and not a good cut of meat. The mac and cheese side was not terrible and the fried okra was also ok. The container the bbq sauce was in was not kept as clean as it should be. I just wasn’t impressed at all and would not return here to eat.

BUYERBEWARE!!! This is, bar none, the WORST customer service you will ever experience! I will NEVER set foot in this Dickey’s again. You should not either. My family has visited this location at Wadsworth and Colfax more than 30 times in the past 12 months alone — I counted my transactions to verify this number on my bank statements. Last night, we placed an online order for pickup, which is not unusual for us — we do that about 1⁄3 of the time, and the rest of the time we dine-in. The receipt came to $ 30.34 for three kids meals, and one two-meat plate(quite a bit smaller than our normal order which is usually for 2 – 3 more people). When my wife got home with the order, the two-meat plate had only 5 medallions(slices) of polish sausage and no second meat(which was supposed to be chopped brisket). My order number was 24907143(in case the owner is reading this so she can verify my facts). I drove to the store while my family began eating and politely informed them that the order my wife had picked up a little while prior had been shortchanged: that the two meat plate appeared to have accidentally been fulfilled as a kids meal. I showed them my email receipt on my iPhone. They said they would have to see the plates in order to fix the problem. I asked to speak with the manager and the thin black-haired young man I was speaking to informed me that he was the manager. I asked(incredulously) again just to confirm, he could not fix it without me bringing back the whole order? He reiterated his position. At that point I walked out of the restaurant and went back home. I returned home about 20 minutes after my family had started eating. I gathered all the containers, and food that my family had not yet finished eating, and headed back to the store. When I walked back into the store, I went to the front counter and removed all the containers from the bag and set them on the counter. I informed them that I had to take the food out of my wife and children’s mouths to accommodate their requirements that I show it to them, and asked that they re-make the order AND refund my money to make it right. They indicated that they were going to «call Susan», whom I assume is the GM or owner. I waited patiently as they served other customers and the«manager» chatted with Susan on the phone out of my earshot. When he hung up the phone he came back to the counter, gave me paper and pen and asked me to write down my name and number. I did so, and I included my order number for good measure. When I handed it back to him, he told me, «Someone will call you.» I asked if they were going to remake the order, and he told me they couldn’t. Unbelievably, he offered to let me take the food with me that I had brought back, which at that point was cold and would have been disgusting by the time I got back home. I asked if they would refund my money. He didn’t know. I told him that my family had spent more than a thousand dollars at that store in the past year, and that I wouldn’t be spending another dime there. I left again. Needless to say I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company. I strongly recommend you stay as far away from this Dickey’s location as you can. If you need your Dickey’s fix, go to the Westminster or Greenwood Village location, where the food is better and the service is MUCH better than this poorly-run location. I’ll post an update if I get a call back, but I’m not holding my breath. Update: it’s been over a month. I got an email from Dickeys asking for contact info. I replied with everything including contact info I don’t normally give out. Guess what? No call, no email, no nothing. Sorry Dickeys on Wadsworth and Colfax, you lost your chance. This review is permanent.

I am from Texas so I know all about BBQ. And you should be able to eat BBQ with out sauce. That being said I smothered this BBQINBBQSAUCEJUSTTOEATIT. This place it the worst BBQ in town. My husband and I got sick after eating this BBQ. The ribs are boiled no smoky flavor to any of there meat.

Had a craving for bbq and searched the closest place. It was Dickeys. Good food(pulled pork sandwich) good bbq sauces and sides. Cole slaw is great and my son enjoyed the Mac and cheese. I’d give the service five stars. Friendly, fast and they even turned on the tv to Disney junior(my two year old noticed before I did). They also have soft serve to enjoy(at no extra charge) after your meal. I nice surprise. We’ll be back.

Got delivery from here — turkey breast, beef brisket, fried okra, Mac and cheese, and rolls. All were delicious! The brisket was a tad dry, but the BBQ sauce remedied that! I saw most of the reviews on Unilocal were pretty negative, but we had a very positive experience. I’d certainly order from them again — I love that they sell their meats by the pound! We’ve been putting the leftover turkey on salads and sandwiches. It’s terrific!

The food was great. The tea tasted old, the pepper shaker was moist on top had to unplug it with a fork, they made my for here order, to go. Miss Ollie Dickey would be rolling around in her grave if she tasted that tea.

The food was tasteless or worse(There wasn’t enough BBQ sauce in the whole place to cover up this fact) The service was abysmal(The two gentlemen behind the counter couldn’t be more bitter and resentful in charecter) I do not recommend this place at all.

I have tried this bbq place at least 5 times. Every time I have ordered a 3 meat combo which is by no means cheap. 16 bucks with drink. Every time they served old dried out burnt meat that has been sitting in their hot box all day. The portions are very small like the cook has his thumb on the scale. At least 2 of the 3 meats are trash. The case doesnt even keep the meat warn. By the time you sit down its stone cold. They do this while you can clearly see they have perfectly good product in the hot case. They instead serve lukewarm burnt dried out crap that should have been in the trash hours before. I have been ripped off by them trying to serve this rubbish one too many times. DONOTGOTOTHISLOCATION… They will only try to rip you off by serving you things that should not be served and hope you dont complain. I simply dont understand their business model. They refuse to toss anything out to save money??? Only to instead serve gross food you paid good money for over and over. Old product that is not edible. While they have good product they are waiting to go old and they sell that only when it turns disgusting. I really wish I had taken a picture of my meal tonight just so you could see how bad it was. Its far beyond them trying to save a buck. How can they not see that they loose far more money by serving bad product. People do not come back idiots!!! If the owner ever reads this stop being so cheap. Stop trying to sell inedible crap to people for good money. We are not stupid. The money you think your are saving is at the detriment of your whole business. WAKEUP. Or just keep it up and go out of business. Im sure when you fail and loose it all you will be so confused on why you failed. Guess what idiot this is why! Dont think people want to eat something that should be in the trash. There are plenty of places which will serve better and fresher food at the same price. You will loose with this business model

Grew up eating at the original in Dallas. All the franchises are half ass, this ones the worst.

They were out of all meats except brisquet and pork. They were out of all sides except green beans, salad and slaw. The kitchen is dirty and the 17 year old«manager on duty» isn’t that great. To top it off my receipt didn’t even reflect what i ordered. I’ll probably not eat at this Dickey’s ever again! A complete shame as I really liked this restaurant. Oh well. There are a thousand other places who actually care about their customers.

The service and food are horrible not sure if people are too stoned or have no people skills but 90% of the staff is not all there. You have to double check your order as well. Only one person if friendly and seems to know the menu and has common sense(the dude with facial piercings you should give him a Raise or promote him) I’ve been here 3 times and each time lve had a horrible experience. I do not recommend this store.

The food always good, I just wish your restaurant was cleaner, soda machine tray full of ice straw and lemon, counter disgusting, seeing kitchen from register u need some major cleaning and seeing male employee with his pants falling off his butt was not appealing either!

The service was poor here. We stood in front of the ‘Order Here’ sign DBD we were never acknowledge. The guy stood there doing something while two other staff watched him. Not one person acknowledged us. I wanted to walk out, but we were both tired from a long flight and anxious to eat dinner. When we were finally asked what we wanted to order, we both ordered the little hoagie w/pulled pork, potatoes salads and fried okra. We did not wait long it was done in a minute. The Second thing that I noticed is the place was messy. When going to get my drink and BBQ sauce the ice cream cone box was hanging over the BBQ area, there was trash around the counter and it look like it had not been wiped down all day. The service was below average and the cleanliness both equal lazy!

I am highly impressed with my experience here today. It was our first time at a Dickey’s, and when I told the guys working, they immediately recommended things for us to try, and even gave us a little background on the place and the history of the recipes, etc. They gave us free drinks in nice plastic keeper cups, and asked us to let them know how we liked everything after our meal. I had the Westerner sandwich with cheddar sausage and pulled pork, and mac and cheese and fried okra sides. Everything was very flavorful. The sweet tea was amazing. I am southern and very hard to please when it comes to these staples. Overall, the food and service definitely made me a future return customer.

I start with the fact that I like Dickey’s. We’ve frequented the stores on South Wadsworth and South Santa Fe and have always had good experiences. When this store opened up closer to home, we were very pleased. We tried this location for the first time last week. We were there at 6:30 which should have been a peak dinner business time, but other than a few takeout orders, it was pretty empty. That it was a cold, snowy night might have contributed. Or, if our experience was an indication, it might be because they have some problems to solve. I hope they were just having a bad hair day, but they were off their mark pretty much across the board. First, they were understaffed — two were working and were pleasant, but only one was taking and filling each order from start to finish, so it took longer than it should have taken to fill just 3 orders. They were out of spoons when we came through the line. Shortly thereafter they ran out of forks. They were out of their hot BBQ sauce. Serving sizes were definitely smaller than the other Dickey’s venues we’ve been at. At the other stores they weigh the meat portions, but at this one they just appeared to estimate and to estimate on the side of small portions. All of the meats we had were someplace between tepid and cold, with no discernible smoke ring or smoke flavor. Visibility from the street is poor at this Dickey’s as well — if you don’t know it’s there, it’s easy to overlook. Accessibility is also poor — you can access it from Wadsworth southbound or from Colfax westbound but not from either of the other two directions. Given their challenges with visibility and accessibility, this Dickey’s outlet needs to be pretty stellar to overcome the challenges. I will try it again, and I hope they’re better«coiffed» when I do. If not, I’ll just drive a bit farther for the better quality at the other Dickey’s stores.

I am glad they are open here now. I had the ham, ribs, and polish sausage plate. I think the ribs were the best of the three. The green beans were not very good, and the Cesar salad was small but good. I like that they have sauces warmed up and available with plenty of small to-go cups. The sauces are pretty good. I don’t think I will be returning very often, as it can get quite expensive, but I will be back.

Im always on the hunt for Good BBQ. When i was here, I had the Monday Special. It was BBQ Pulled pork. They were out of BBQ baked beans. So I went with Potato Salad and Mac And Cheese. The meal didnt disappoint for 8.99 either. Tasty Pulled pork, good sweet bbq sauce. The mac and cheese had more cheese and more mac and the sides were a nice size. They didnt skimp. Great Customer Service, and the Free Ice Cream cone is a nice touch as well. Nice Clean Dining area, and kitchen area. Tvs that show sports. Im a Happy Camper.
