Came in to get my rook pierced and I think jaz did an awesome job! I would def recommend this place and come back for more piercings. Thanks jaz, you rock!

Awful place to get piercings. I got a double cartilage/​helix piercing (a few weeks apart) and even after consistent cleaning both got infected, they were pierced at different angles, pierced with different sized gauges (even after I asked if they were the same size before the second piercing and was told they were), and both bled uncontrollably after they were pierced. Eventually had to remove both piercings because the infection was only getting worse. Terrible experience, waste of money, waste of time. Would not recommend to anyone.

If I could give zero stars I would! Two friends and I came in to get piercings. Jaz was the chick piercing on this particular day. My first friend got her septum pierced. Jaz clamped her nose and couldn’t get the needle all the way through. She had to get one the guys tattooing to redo it. Next friend got her nose done. Jaz was visibly shaking at this point, but was able to do it with some struggle. Then it was my turn to get my nose done. She was still shaking but got the needle in easily. When she tried to transfer to get the jewelry in, she couldn’t get it in. My nose was bleeding pretty good at this point. As I was trying to hold pressure to stop the bleeding, she jabbed the needle back in with no clamp. She tried to get the jewelry in again but still could not. I was done at this point. So, if you want a piercing, DO NOT GO TO JAZ!!! The guy who finished my first friend looked competent, but JAZ obviously has no idea what she is doing. The tattoo work that was being done looked decent, but I’d steer clear of getting anything pierced!

Hey katelyn, you were getting pierced by an apprentice and that’s why the piercings were half the price, sometimes you lose transfers, it happens. I’m not perfect and im still learning, hence the half price. Most shops will charge you just for opening their needles and even if they miss which is more common than you think. I apologized and felt awful and you could have sat right and let me redo it, I have had 15 year olds sit for missed transfers.
Katelyn B: My response to you seems pointless but I feel the need to at least comment. No one is perfect. No one can get it right all the time. Unfortunately for you it was back to back mistakes. When we walked into your shop you told us that the piercings were a «Sunday special» you did not tell anyone in my party that you were an apprentice. In the future especially while you are still learning you should announce that you are still training. You did poor work.
Per the business’ response we were not in the shop for a «painless» piercing we have hours of tattoo work done. We are complaining regarding an apprentice not announcing her skill level, 3 shotty piercings, and no after care instructions for the two that got pierced.

I have gotten some ink last night and it was the best experience that i have had a tattoo shop. Patrick was the Artist for my session. He has a Light Touch unlike most of my ink that I have gotten in the past, which were pretty heavy handed. Not that im a bleeder, but they have made me bleed. Extremely sanitary, very CLEAN. Patrick took his time and threw in his own twist in on my tat, he Blended it into my existing ink that i had. This is My new parlour and Artist that i am going to get my ink done. I would fully recommend this Shop To Anyone to get more ink or getting a First Tat.

I have gone to Justan for 3 tattoos in the last year and a half and am beyond satisfied with all of them. The parlor is very chill and CLEAN! Justan takes the extra time and effort into making sure his station and equipment are extremely sanitary. He puts even more care into his work. Great attention to detail and genuine pride in his work. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Justan did a fantastic job on my tattoo. He took a vague idea of mine and made it into something really creative. Everyone always comments on how well it’s done and how bright the colors are.

Hey look kids, justan is a quality person who works his ass off making his business go. He does first class work and is a true artist who cares about his peeps. Got a light touch and won’t cripple you!

Black voodoo tattoo is a job! They shouldn’t even get 1 star my opinion. Justin is the worst artist I’ve ever come over. He canceled on me more times than he tattooed me. He has all these deal, well you wonder why it’s because he’s a shitty tattoo artist. He tattooed me for almost a year and didn’t even finish because I had to go to someone else to fix the work he did. It looked like the tattoo he did was done 10 years ago, so faded and just drilled into my skin way to hard to just move faster. He makes up excuses so he doesn’t have to tattoo the days he doesn’t want to. He uses his diabetes as an excuse all the time, I think he’s not right it honestly because he acts all hung over when he comes. He’s stood me up for an appointment, and told me I had the date wrong when I know I didn’t. Then he told me he couldn’t come to Tattoo me because somebody had his car which was a lie. His artists and his tattoo shop told me. He could never get me in two weeks after my tattoo, it always had to be a month after I got tattooed by him. He took my money and didn’t finish the job. I give you all this knowledge of mine, to tell you to never go to Justin at black voodoo tattoo! Really even if he has some amazing deal it’s not worth it ever!!!

I was tattooed yesterday by Scott. He was fantastic! Took his time for a long spine tattoo with a lot of symmetry and geometry business. He researched my piece and took extra time to make sure the placement was on point. I’m really happy with it and I cannot recommend Scott enough!

Justan just did a great job on some forearm script I got done. Going to a new artist can be a bit tricky but I was happy with his work and love my new tat. I’d definitely be open to going back to him for future work and referring friends. This shop also has great deals– keep your eyes open for discounts on the blog or Groupon.
