Azura of Lakewood Rehabilitation Suites

This place is the best in rehabilitation for post-​operative and post-​hospital stay patients. There is an age restriction (you have to be a senior).
My grandmother was hospitalized in late November with pneumonia at Lutheran Hospital. When it was time to come home, she and my family decided that a rehab place to transition would be the best option. The trick to getting into here with Medicare is to refuse to go to the other rehab centers — that are disgusting anyways. We have had other family members stay at Eaton Terrace or Wheatridge Manor and believe me you can smell death and decay upon arrival at those places.
Azura is heaven. The facility is new and beautiful. It looks like you’re at a hotel not a rehab center. Plus their staff is amazing! They have in house — physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and doctors. They also have the best physical therapy room I have seen anywhere. The people are so caring and they love to keep family/​patient in the loop about care/​expectation and goals to get home quickly. But they don’t rush you out — in fact my grandmother ended up staying for 3 weeks and when she came home she was ready and confident to maintain her health.
I truly truly believe this place was the difference between life or death for her. The other places have no hope — that is why people go there to die. Azura is the difference the senior healthcare field needs. Please send your loved one here, it is far more than a Rehab center.
