Horrible horrible horrible horrible!!! I wish I could give no starts, we didn’t even get a chance to eat because after ordering, we waited 45 mins just for no food to arrive… We just walked out

Well we probably won’t be back to this Applebee’s. There were 4 of us in the group. The restaurant was only fairly busy but took over 30 min to get our food. 3 of our plates were very poorly plated steaks way overdone and food cold. Took at least 10 min for a manager to come over. He said he’d remake them himself — another 15 min we finally got our plates. the 4th person was done eating his food by now. Food was better but still not consistent. Manager never apologized, nothing comped and then they weren’t able to process either of our debit cards — ridiculous

Worst experience ever at Applebee’s. We were never offered drink refills. It took two people to get us appetizer plates and silverware. It was about an hour before our food was ready. To make it worse my husbands steak was over cooked and left a bad taste in his mouth. We had to ask another server for the check because our server had disappeared again. Scratch that restaurant off the list.

Went tonight for dinner and everything was great except for the steak my husband ordered. It was cooked perfectly but the meat was very hard and tough. It was not soft and tender as advertised. Very disappointed in the $ 18 plate. However, customer service was exceptional. Our server was excellent and the manager took the steak plate off our bill.

Although the food wasn’t exactly our favorite, we let the manager Ricky know our concerns and he took care of it right away. Not too sure if we’ll be back but customer service from him deserves 5 stars.

Omg I love Joel(bar dude). I went one night with a girlfriend and he made us mojitos. He said he didn’t really like to make them because he didn’t know if they were good enough. BUTOMGTHEYWERETHEBEST, LIKEOMG! We have never found mojitos like those ever again. Where are you Joel?! (I wrote this review as I sat at Islands waiting for my food).

I have tried this place a couple of times on my break, because it is very close to my work, but so far the food has been bleh. The lady at the bar who helps me get my take-out order is very sweet and I can tell works really hard, however no matter how much time I give them, I always end up waiting an extra 15 – 20 minutes for my food. For someone whose break it only 30 minutes, that gives me only 10 – 15 minutes to scarf my food down. Tonight I gave them a 30 minutes head up for my cheeseburger, and was still waiting awhile. And the burger was soo greasy that I am regretting it now. I think if I try this place again, I will stick to a generic house salad or just eat somewhere else.

Good food supplemented by some of the worst service. Our server forgot: 1. Our beers, we had to re-order from the host. 2. Plates for our appetizers 3. The extra napkins we requested because we had finger food. 4. The extra Ranch dressing because they only filled the original 2oz. cup half way. They only fill the beers glasses up to 2 inches below the rim, can you say«ripoff»?

Second time visiting an Applebee’s ever. The experience was okay, if not particularly memorable: ____________ + We didn’t have to deal with any wait time before being seated at a roomy, comfortable booth towards the right-hand side of the restaurant; there was plenty of room for myself & my three family members. + It was quite evident that the Lakewood Applebee’s was both relatively new and well maintained. The dining surfaces and décor were all brightly colored & polished to a shine. The environment was inviting without being overwhelmingly noisy or in-your-face…very safe, predictable, and family-friendly. ____________ The food that we ordered wasn’t jaw-dropping or spectacular — just your standard casual sit-down restaurant fare. In the interest of satisfying our innate Filipino need for frugality, the family & I ordered off the«2 for $ 20» Menu, which allows you to pair two of among about a dozen entrees with a shareable appetizer(other more«premium» entrees are available for a total cost of $ 25, as well). — For our sharable starters, we ordered the Boneless Wings & the Mozzarella Sticks, Both were about as mediocre as you’d expect them to be. The wings weren’t as spicy as I had hoped for, and were overly breaded; I didn’t taste any noteworthy freshness or flavor in the meat itself. As for the Mozzarella Sticks… well, they were Mozzarella Sticks. — I selected a Quesadilla Burger as my entrée, and found that the dish was definitely better in theory than in execution. The burger meat was bland and the quesadilla exterior had a wafer-like consistency that was somewhere between a pita and an old cracker. The fries that accompanied the burger were textbook outta-the-fryer type stuff. Not much of a fan of my entrée overall. + As the second«2 for $ 20» entrée, my uncle went with the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. I didn’t get much of the garlic & thyme flavors that were advertised in the dish’s description; the chicken was lacking in seasoning and tasted as though it had been overcooked. The side of fried potatoes served along this entrée were even more underwhelming; they tasted like they had been left under a hot lamp for about a day or two. ____________ Our service was inconsistent overall — in that our waitress alternated from diligently tending to our table to being completely absent. I waited for a water refill for pretty much the entire entrée portion of our dinner, which was frustrating. To be fair, the server herself wasn’t completely to blame. It seemed as though the shift she was working with just wasn’t enough manpower to handle the dinnertime rush.

Stopped by at Applebee’s for lunch rather hungry and in a terrific mood. The place wasn’t busy, just a couple booths but no one at the bar or anyone waiting to be seated. Our host sat us over at a booth and we awaited our server. She seemed delightful but the attention was never there. I know that Applebee’s is known for the little touchscreen service but I don’t like the idea of having to call over your server with the push of a button. It’s more like an emergency type of situation for me to have to request service. We were checked up on once, but it was more of a domino effect kind of thing. She went to every table on our side kind of like doing the wave, asking if everything was OK. Our drinks were never refilled. We don’t even recall ever being told her name. Service just isn’t what is expected at any restaurant in general. Should have read the previous reviews. Inconsistent negative comments on customer service is a red flag. Hard pass on Applebee’s.

15 minute wait to be seated even though there were several empty tables. We ordered the 2 for $ 20 meal. Boneless buffalo wings to start; Chicken pasta for me; and Chicken tenders for my son. The wings were just warm… maybe sitting under a warmer. Pasta was a bit on the overcooked side for me — I prefer al dente. Sauce was bland, but I liked the bruschetta topping. Again, lukewarm temperature, not hot like I would expect. First time here at this location. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either.

Came here specifically for the shrimp scampi linguine and apparently they took it off the menu yesterday! Super disappointed and since there were no actual pasta dishes in place of that on the menu even though they had a «pasta» section. So we left. Going somewhere else. It was the only thing I liked so I guess I won’t be coming back to Applebee’s. Also the server had no idea what was removed or added to the menu after I asked her about the dish. Then stood there awkwardly staring at us. Very frustrating when the staff is not knowledgeable about changes made. All she knew was that there was a new menu but had nothing to offer us. Unfortunate experience overall. Service was never great to begin with so I usually got takeout. Since I had to give it at least one star I would like to note that their blackberry lemonade was delicious and so was the pasta they apparently got rid of. Sad face.

Came here a couple Sundays ago with my parents, my brother and his wife. Our server seemed like a cool guy; I believe his name was James. Anyway, he didn’t write down our orders. Just repeated«got it» after each of us ordered. First error– they brought us mozzarella sticks when my brother had ordered artichoke dip. Second error– they brought out 2 plates of the fried shrimp and only my sister in law had ordered that. Third error– they tried bringing us a plate of wings. None of us ordered wings. «Really?» Yeah, I’m pretty sure. The icing on the cake was that there was a hair on my plate. It wasn’t even that busy. It was just really disappointing since it was my first time ever trying Applebee’s. At least the manager took it off the bill and gave me some sweet potato fries on the house to munch on while I waited for my replacement plate.

You need to be seated and wait time is not that bad. Especially when we ate dinner here during New Year’s Eve. Well we were expecting that there might be a long wait time for that day so we tried making a reservation for 6:30pm with a party of 9. Unfortunately, they didn’t take reservations. But the lady was nice enough to get our info and told us to be there by 6:30. We got there in time and we were seated in a matter of minutes only. They have this $ 20 and $ 25 deals. It consists of 2 entrees and one appetizer or a choice of 2 salads for $ 20 or $ 25. You can add $ 2 each entrée to make it a platter. And since there were 9 of us. This was a good deal. And the serving was not that but. The appetizer itself already kinda fills us up. I like getting the Spinach and Artichoke dip and they refill your chips until you finish the dip. I like the Shrimp Scampi here. Then I ordered the Three-Cheese Chicken Penne. Well, the pasta was kinda overcooked and it tasted too garlicky. Ech! The chicken was a bit dry too. I didnt even get to finish it. I wish I just ordered the Shrimp Scampi again.

I love Applebee’s and have always had great dining experiences and equally great service. On my visit to this location, that wasn’t the case. We arrived to Applebee’s around 7PM. There was an estimated 10 minute wait, OK no problem. It was New Year’s Day, it was to be expected. So as we are waiting to be seated, we began conversing and sharing our New Year’s Eve stories, and then we are called by the host. The wait was actually about 5 minutes, which tells us it isn’t very busy at all. Great. We are seated at a booth and await our waitress. She brings us our drinks and gives us some time to order. We went with the 2 for $ 20 deal(which is amazing in my opinion) and I always have a hard time selecting my choice, as I’m very indecisive and love more bang for my buck. We were lured into getting the American burger, as we are two burger loving Americans, but first inquired on size. The normal price for it is $ 10.49. Must be a big burger. Our waitress(We don’t recall her name) claimed is was very big. Awesome, sounds great! We opted for cheddar cheese, and I opted for Mac n’cheese as a side. We selected boneless BBQ wings as our appetizer.(They were delicious!) But very cold, as we did not get to enjoy them as soon as they were brought out. They were brought out and placed onto our table, and then he walked away. We sat there looking at the wings and looked everywhere on our table. We weren’t given utensils, or plates(given, it was an appetizer to share), or even napkins. Hmm. We tried to flag down a waiter/tress but failed. We looked around the restaurant and it was definitely not what I would call busy. Finally, our waitress stopped by and left 2 small plates. But that was all. We asked for cutlery and napkins, and by then the wings were not hot anymore. When our food finally arrived, we weren’t even done with our wings. That’s how long it took for us to get them, and no one likes cold wings –Although the sauce was quite good. Our burgers were quite disappointing. Usually when I order a $ 10 burger I have plenty to take home left, this burger reminded me of something from McDonalds.(In terms of size and lack of ingredients) I was honestly not very hungry because I had eaten pasta earlier, so I didn’t make a big deal about it, but I made a mental note to never ask for the burger again. Guess what, I didn’t eat the burger right away. I personally love having ranch on the side to dip my burger in. So we waited about 15 minutes to get ranch. Our waitress asked if we needed something and I graciously asked for a side of ranch. 15 minutes later we flagged down another waitress and she literally brought it out in 30 seconds. So again, another cold meal.(But that was my fault) It is just something that could have been easily done, as the other waitress proved. The burger itself was quite juicy, I loved the meat. And the cheddar cheese definitely complimented it very well. I was disappointed at the lacking of ingredients. It was seriously just the burger meat, cheese, bacon and some sauce. Some would find bacon a plus but I don’t eat pork so I gave it to my cousin. The bread was very sweet, I liked it but again, for $ 10 I would have expected at least some lettuce, onion, and tomato! And I actually paid $ 12 because my side was an extra $ 1.99. We took a while to finish our food only because we were having a really heartfelt conversation and it took away the negative aspects of our dinner. We weren’t even done eating and our waitress promptly brought out our bill. That really upset me, it was almost like kicking us out when clearly we weren’t done eating. So we were going to pay but had an issue splitting checks on the iPad. So I went to the bank conveniently located next door, and paid cash. Then we realized we weren’t even done eating and still wanted a little dessert(considering our burgers weren’t true to price) so we ordered some ice cream and were being billed for it when we hadn’t even gotten it. A third waitress came around seeing as we were looking to see if we spotted our original waitress, and asked if he needed anything. I was going to tell her, but then said«No it’s ok you’re not our waitress.» She insisted she could help us any way she could. I told her our small dilemma and she said«Don’t worry, I got you guys.» She went into the kitchen and came back with our ice cream. Then she talked us through how we could split the bill. She was so sweet and attentive, she wasn’t our server so she could have simply walked away to tend HER tables, but she didn’t! We really appreciated her helping us out. Her name is Kayla, and if I ever feel like giving this location another try, I will definitely hope she’s there that day, her service is superb. Thank you Kayla(Williams)! I’d like to note that not once were we asked if we would like our drinks refilled. Our glasses were empty the rest of the night. Dinner at Applebee’s was not the best way to literally start the new year.

It takes a lot for me to write a negative review. Let’s start with how my kids and I were seated at a booth. I alerted the host I was going to take the kids to the bathroom to wash their hands quickly.(Sidenote: bathroom wasn’t the best – toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor). We return to our seat no more than 5 minutes later to find another family had been seated at our table. I had to awkwardly grab our belongings from around them and we were shuffled to another table. Being all«high tech,» the tables have little iPads that you can order/pay from. The computerized ordering system kept saying there was an error, so we had to wait for a server to come around to place our order(10 min delay at least). My beer was sitting at the bar for at least 5 – 10 minutes before the host noticed and brought it over for me – waitress was nowhere in sight. We didn’t have any silverware when our food came, so I had to ask for some. And then when I asked our server for additional napkins(eating with 2 children=automatic need for more napkins, especially if you start with zero provided), she acted annoyed. We had to wait an additional 10 – 15 minutes for her to come back around once we were finished(even with the«call your server» light flashing at our table). The staff all seemed kind of cold, and in a rush. Even the person I assume to be a manager didn’t even attempt to come over and check on us when he saw our«help» light flashing. We will definitely not be coming back here, and would discourage your visit.

First off, if you ever get Diane as your server, she’s excellent! Thank you for waiting on us tonight! She was very sweet & attentive with us. We never felt rushed or ignored the whole time we were there. She constantly checked up on our needs/food/drinks. She even asked if we needed to-go cups for our drinks! Saturday night is busy especially during happy hours. You must try the spicy chicken wonton tacos. There’s so much flavor in every bite but not overwhelming. Perfect balance! The food came out fairly quick and still hot. The chicken quesadilla was also a hit. Not too spicy. Parking is never a problem any time of the day. That’s always a thumbs up. We enjoy the multiple tv’s around the restaurant since we’re sports fans. We’ll definitely be back for more Applebee’s!

Saturday morning at Applebee’s when they first open, this is truly the perfect moment to stop here. Clean restaurant. Cordial server. Food came out in a timely manner, not too fast but not too slow either. Food was hot, the burn your tongue type of hot! A tolerable hot. Goodness in most bites. Got some type of appetizer nachos with chicken(needed more chicken though), kobe meatballs, chicken penne and a riblets plate. The husband was pleased with the riblets as I was with the chicken penne. Oh, almost forgot the spinach dip and chips. Perfect dip! Chips may have had a tad too much salt. Still assassinated it. It started to get busier as we kept dining. Good thing we were the 2nd party in the door upon opening. I don’t go to Applebee’s often. And to be honest, we had received gift cards minutes beforehand. Twas well worth the usage of the GCs plus a little extra.

Was hanging out with my sons the other day and my youngest begged to come eat here. I was skeptical, hadn’t really had any good food from this chain at the other locations or service for that matter but on this day, this location, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good, except the that dip — it was tasteless — but they took it back with no problem. It was happy hour so we tried all of the half priced menu items, the best one was the won ton tacos, lots of chicken and fresh veggies, yummy! The other items were good as well and our server was great! She was very attentive and accommodating. I Told her that I would return to this location only lol. My sangria was delicious and what I loved most is that the bartender didn’t water it down with ice. I’ll be back.
