The cut really was amazing and this is coming from someone who’s paid $ 80+ at a Beverly Hills salon and wasn’t good. She knows how to cut men’s hair I highly recommend.

Both times that I’ve come here, Lyda has been very nice and welcoming. I came in with only an idea of the haircut I wanted, and she did it perfect! The 2^nd time she already knew what I wanted. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

I have been a long time customer of Lyda’s. she has always done a great job on my hair.

I woke up one morning ready to shave my head after what feels like decades of trying to grow and maintain long hair. husband said hold up lemme check Unilocal,and I was in lydas chair that afternoon. I gave really vague requirements like «short» and «easy to maintain» and she immediately took over the consult and guided me through bc I’d never considered short hair before and didn’t know what I wanted. she gave me a beautiful short cut complimentary to my head and face shape and I am thrilled!

Saw a comment below that couldn’t be more far from the truth about Lyda. For someone to say Lyda was rude is BS! She’s the sweetest person and very professional. As far as walk-​ins go… yes, she welcomed walk-​ins but she also has a sign that says she can refuse the right to serve anyone she wants. She would never do this but some ppl that make false accusations about her should be refused anyways!

The first time I went here I got a great cut. But the next time she is was extremely rude. Went in for haircut with daughter for haircut she blurted only have time for one. Her sign says walk in welcome. This is so not true. Went somewhere else. Maybe she was having a bad day don’t know. Will try again since the first time I got a great cut, but I’ll be sure to make appointment.

I was looking for a new place to get my hair cut. I have had the same style for quite some time and needed to find a salon who won’t judge me. Yes, this happened to me before. I went to a salon in East Long Beach 6 months ago, with a picture of what I wanted and the hair stylist blurted out, «You don’t want to look like an old lady!» Good grief. it was a picture of Emmylou Harris not Grandma Moses! The cut I wanted was for a longer Shag style with edgy razor cuts.
Well. Pfffft. I never went back there… and so I took to fellow Unilocalers to find Lyda at Amazing Cuts. And, yes, she did give me an AhhhMaaazing cut! I am so happy! She took her time with me, listened to what I wanted, and didn’t try to upsell me on any products. Her salon was clean and well taken care of. I am so glad to have found her… now if I could just get hubby into her salon. When I walked in she was giving a gentleman a haircut and it was done so nice. His sideburns were perfect too. So whether male, female, child or adult… Lyda is a one stop shop for cutting hair.

The owner is incredibly nice and she cut my hair just like I wanted. She is definitely my new go-​to person!

Went in on a weekday afternoon, not busy at all. Lyda was very thorough and asked all the right questions, this is going to be my regular spot for now on.

I recently found out that the place I use to get my hair cut for the last 15 years was closing down so I decided to look for a new spot. After some Unilocaling I came across Amazing cuts which is 2 minutes from my house and boy did I get lucky. Lyda is great!!! I was fortunate enough to do a walk in and was extremely pleased with the results. I will definitely go back. I recommend making an appointment.

As always, Lyda has done a terrific job cutting my hair. She makes it even better by being friendly and nice. Lyda remembers me and the way I like my hair cut. But, I’m sure that she remembers all of her customers the same way. Lyda not only takes great care in her work, she cares greatly for her customers.

A few words to describe the owner of this salon: sweet, friendly, efficient, very good, comparable pricing, busy (so make and appt if you can), and definitely worth the stop! I normally visit the chain stores (ie: supercuts, fantastic sams, etc) and this lady is better and about the same pricing. If you are a stylist and need a booth… she has a couple open… just sayin’! :) Enjoy!

I got the standard/​very popular «short fade and parted» men’s haircut. She took care and had an attention to detail I’ve never experienced before. Even compared to the «hipster» vintage men’s barbershops that pretty much base their entire business model on that one haircut. She did it better. So I’ll be back in 3 weeks

I was bored decided let’s chop off my hair! I’m fairly new to Long Beach area, so my co-​worker recommended to see Lyda.
She was very welcoming, place was very clean and professional.
I was more than satisfied with my long angled bob cut. I would recommend her and definitely return in the future.

The name of this small shop holds true! The owner, Lyda, truly does an AMAZING job every time. The service is impeccable and you will always be greeted with a smile. Make Lyda your stylist and you WILL look amazing.
