Horrible fish and chips, Sent back and got the original order apparently fried again! Yum, yum not ! Gross! Beer only good part of meal. Boyfriend got reubin sandwich, needed more saurcraut. Was only ok. Very disappointing. Waitress nice. Will not be back!

Love this place! We xome in every time we are in town. Nice specialty drinks, and you can tell they really care avout their food. They brew. A bunch of their own specialty simple syrups to make their awesome drinks! They also serve Bison which is a nice alternative to beef. They don’t have any televisions but are working on getting one for their back patio

My boyfriend and I visited here from out of town, to see family who live in Clearlake. I was drawn into this bar because of the sign on the sidewalk that mentioned «Chocolate Martini». I was sold. The bartender named Nicole made the most delicious chocolate martini I have ever tasted! Its not just a drink, it’s also a desert, as you can literally lick the chocolate that’s inside the martini glass. Mmmm. Cute little place to stop by and have a few drinks! Love the natural lighting and friendly atmosphere. Absolutely recommend The Old World Tavern. I will be back there next time I visit!

Menu looked good. They had one of my favorite beers, but when I tried to order a beer and food they told me I was too drunk. At about noon, and hadn’t had any alcohol since the night before. I don’t appreciate the condescending tone I got from the bartender or him calling me a liar. I would give a 2^nd chance next time I’m in California to hopefully change these 2 stars to 4 or 5 stars.

An amazing atmosphere with exceptional staff. My taste buds were neglected until I tried the Irish nachos! And there is always a good selection of beers on tap to wash it down with. Definitely the place to eat, drink, and be merry in lake county!

Great bar selection. The Chef Oz is really bringing the biz up with his decadent dishes. Al is a real treat to hang with. A very inviteing enviorment !

The bison burger is amazing, the sweet potato fries were great, and the service was fast! Their beer selection is on point. Will definitely be coming back

I love the Old World Tavern! I have been here many times and have tried almost everything on the menu. Each time seems to pleasantly surprise me. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. No matter what you order you can’t go wrong. They have a good selection of beer and drinks. In addition, the atmosphere is one of a kind.

After a long day of racing we found this spot. Service was awesome, food was great, and they were open late which was a big plus for us.

Bison burger was ok, fish and chips were greasy. This is a locals joint, never got a real vibe from the bartender or patrons that they were interested in us being there.

Place was small but typical for Lakeport. Beer selection was good — food was slow and not very good even for a dive bar

we were starving and found this place but could not get waited on because the waitress was more interested in serving the 4 guys at the bar than the 5 tables that were waiting for their food. I ordered the ½ of bottle of wine that was on the menu and the waitress said it did not exist and argued with me until I showed her that it was in fact on the menu. she then brought me 2 glasses of wine so the second glass got hot while I ate my food that was finally delivered without offering me condiments. this place has so much potential but the service will ultimately ruin what could have been a great tavern.

What great service and yummy bison burger. Can’t wait to take my friends here. The atmosphere is a cross between pub and biker bar. The Classic Rock Rewind from Sirius playing in the background had me tapping my toes while I ate those delicious fries and sipped the house made lemonade.

Great burgers. Great service. Gluten Free Buns! There’s a full bar and decent wine list. Small space, but they have bands here. Specializing in pub and Irish comfort food. Shepherds pie looked good

I’m rating this 4 stars only because I plan to go back when I have cash. The drinks and food are good, as well as the atmosphere but the waitresses suck. They ignore the customers, and were rude, along with the fact that they waited to tell us they refused to split a check five ways when we all had cards but no cash. The birthday girl ended up putting over $ 70.00 on her card for us just to avoid confrontation. Yeah… you know who I am, but luckily I can watch you make the drinks to make sure you don’t spit in it next time. I hope the place hires better service by then!

I visited alone since I was in Lakeport for work. The service was incredibly slow, but then again I didn’t have anywhere to be. I ordered the Euro Burger, and unfortunately it was overwhelmingly salty and some parts of it were inedibly chewy. Since this is one of their specialties, I was assuming that it would easily be a good choice.
Based on the surrounding options, this may still be one of the best choices in town.

I have only been here once to get some beers and a few appetizers, but I will go back when I am back in area. The bartenders are friendly and there is a good beer selection. It is a fun atmosphere!

Had lunch at Old World Tavern with my wifey today. I had the pub sandwich which is a bratwurst with bacon sauerkraut on a roll with a side of fries.
The sandwich was good although some mustard made it more good and they’ve got some decent choices of mustard, not just the cheap yellow crap. That’s indicative of the whole place, they have some great options for those who like to enjoy good tastes and such.
My opinion about the French fries are that they are the best ones I have ever had, period. Very simple — potatoes fried twice and salted. Nothing magical but absolutely my favorite fries ever. In fact, the fries are so good here I actually chose them over onion rings and I love onion rings.
Also enjoyed a pint of Paulaner beer with lunch so all in all it was really good. There weren’t many patrons there despite the good food and service was quick and polite. I’ve been there a number of times and the food is very consistent.
Oh, did I mention they have the best French fries ever? Yeah, they’re that good.

Have been a few times and it’s always been slightly above average. Last time I ordered the shrimp and chips, a $ 15 plate. I got 6 shrimp. Not big prawns or anything either. 6 shrimp about the size of a quarter each. It would have been small for the kids meal. I would recommend serving at least 10 – 12 with the dish, unless you want to call it an appetizer and charge 8 $ for the 6 shrimp and fries instead of $ 15. Besides that it’s a decent little place. Decently priced alcohol and a good selection.

When I was walking by, this place seemed like it had it going on! But, after going inside, I slowly changed my mind. Service was slow, and they only had one waitress. I could tell everyone was waiting for something. Seems like a pretty good place for a drink, but skip getting the food. We waited about 25 minutes to get an order in, and about an hour to get our food. Not only was service slow, but they ran out of hamburgers and ketchup. C’mon, ketchup? Really, out of a ketchup? Meh.
