This was an incredible meal and wonderful way to celebrate Father’s Day today. I had the Tofu Pad Thai and the flavor was rich and the sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy.

Got there at 2:50 they close for lunch at 3:00 and I was refused service. I have worked at a lot of restaurants… that’s just not how things are done. Can’t speak about the food but the service was terrible. No worries the Vietnamese restaurant on the same block was open, delicious and friendly *********** Update. Have been back multiple times since then. The service is good and the food is delicious. Better experience, better rating.

On our first visit we stuck to standard American Thai food like Tom Yum soup, pad Thai and green curry. All were excellent, the portions were appropriate, and the prices were reasonable. The service was prompt and attentive and the place had a pleasant informal contemporary ambiance. We’re looking forward to making this one of our regular restaurants.

This amazing little hole in the wall is a gem!!! We tried the gyoza, garden spring roll and miso were amazing… A few sushi rolls(very fresh by the way) and pad Thai and my life is literally complete… LMBO!!! No seriously, I didn’t expect so much great flavor from such a small restaurant, but I’m impressed and I will definitely be returning… Not to mention that it was packed and as people left, more came!!! That alone speaks volumes… Love it…

Excellent food, excellent pricing for the area. Service was good at little slow but who doesn’t need to slow down sometimes. My wife is a huge Thai fan so she was impressed. I highly recommend if your in the area.

What a refreshing find! Their food is fresh and delicious. Portion sizes are just right and the rice is always hot. Favorites: Thai Iced Tea, Coconut water, Fried tofu, all curries, mango sticky rice.

First time visiting. Friendly staff, good prices, delicious food. Ordered the Krab Rangoon — smooth filling, great great — and the Lion King Roll — really nice flavors and great presentation. Overall, very satisfied and will be returning soon!

I feel robbed by this place. Robbed of my time, my money, and my happiness. We waited for over an hour and a half for 1 plate of Pad Thai and 2 sushi rolls. Our server had to be reminded by me to refill our drinks as he stood behind the counter and stared at us and our empty glasses. We watched 4 other tables, who sat after us and ordered more food than we did, be served long before we got our food. When we finally got the food it was just OK. Nothing special or different from any other place. Very lackluster.(And yes we ate it because we were starving, I’m pregnant, and it was already 9:15pm). This place is expensive and the server barely muttered an apology when I showed that I was upset about how long it took. He did nothing to appease the situation. Taking 4 $ off a $ 60 ticket is not a good enough compensation. A SINCERE apology would’ve been enough. I will NOT be returning and will let all of my family and friends know not to drop a dime at this poorly managed restaurant.

Great service and we loved the mango tango roll, and the dragon roll! Maybe a bit more expensive than other sushi places in lakeland, but I think it’s only because there wasn’t a large«boat» option on the menu so we had to order each sashimi /sushi /nagiri separately.

Pad Woonsen was excellent. Service and prices were great. A little tiny Thai place. Friendly staff. Plan for a wait if ordering sushi on a busy Friday or Saturday night. Otherwise, it’s our go-to Thai spot in Lakeland.

If you have the patience to wade through the thick menu, it’ll be worth it — the food is excellent! Fresh and delicious, very nice presentation too. We ordered the pad Thai — which was very good, and red snapper in chili sauce which was really good. The fish dish was larger than I expected– good enough for two by itself. For dessert we had the fried bananas with coconut ice cream — the bananas were warm and crisp — and the ice cream was perfect. The place was packed on a Saturday evening but we managed to be seated quickly. Service was great — very courteous, helpful and quick. I just wish the place was a bit larger– it looks like it’s quite popular so it’d probably be best to avoid the dinner crowd by going a bit earlier than 6 pm.

After my last two visits here, I have to update my review. The quality and taste of both the red and green curries are not to par. This used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in Lakeland. On my last visit I found a small hair in my green curry. The waitress scrupulously and suspiciously examined my bowl before taking it back to the kitchen. Then a second waitress brought the same bowl out; however, the first waitress removed the hair. The second waitress made me feel like a liar when she asked«Where is the hair»? At this point I was very frustrated and hate arguing with staff about a kitchen mishap. Mistakes happen and a good restaurant should own a mistake and move on. Do not interrogate customers! Eventually the second waitress offered me red curry instead. I should have left, but was hungry, and needed to eat something before returning to work. I already paid for the green curry. The broth in both curries had the wrong consistency and were not silky rather they were curdled like spoiled cream. Also the broth was too hot and probably was microwaved. Lastly, the chicken had a rubbery texture(possibly microwaved with the both) and did not taste fresh. I have had stomach problems for the past 2 days since I ate here. I hate dropping a 5 star review to a 2 star review, but I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Thai Oishi is a nice addition to Lakeside Village and serves a large variety of Thai and Japanese dishes. I have tried the Gyoza, Takoyaki, Panang Curry, Tekka Maki, Spicy Spider Roll, and Thai Donut. The Gyoza are flavorful fried pork dumplings and the Takoyaki are lightly fried octopus balls with a creamy filling mixed with tender chunks of octopus. Both were nice appetizers. The Panang Curry was milky and flavorful with chunks of tender chicken and fresh vegetables. The Tekka Maki(Tuna Roll) and Spicy Spider Roll(Spicy Tuna and Soft Shell Crab Roll) were pretty standard sushi rolls but still had a nice flavor. The Thai Donut was warm, soft and served with a sweet creamy dipping sauce. Overall, the food at Thai Oishi was very good but the sushi could be improved.

This maybe isn’t the BEST Thai place I’ve ever been, but it is certainly close to it. The portions are sizable and it’s all priced very fairly. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 teas, a salad, krab rangoons, a sushi roll, panang curry, the banana delight, and the sweet mango sticky rice(all of which were great) for $ 50. The place was packed and we still got everything reasonably fast. Will be returning and do recommend.

Dined February 6, 2016, first visit with my wife and granddaughter. The menu is quite diverse, with many Thai & other Asian options, pot stickers, spring & summer rolls, also including sushi. I had fresh Hot Basil with chicken which was as nice a meal as I’ve ever had. My wife had Pad Thai, but didn’t like hers as well as mine. Granddaughter had a lovely house salad with excellent ginger dressing(tastes like home-made), and Won Ton soup, also quite nice. I left quite impressed. It was steady if not full, and pleasantly quiet. Staff were welcoming and efficient. Restrooms were clean and updated, as was the entire restaurant. We’ll be back.

The place itself was quaint and nice. Friendly atmosphere. The food itself was decent. We had a sushi roll and roti bread to start. Our entrée itself wasn’t anything too spectacular. I think for the price for the food was over rated. I wouldn’t mind coming back to grab some rolls or an app but the entrée wasn’t worth it.

Went here with my wife and 2 of her friends, and it was a very good meal. I had the Duck Roll, which was amazing. Great flavor with a great sauce. My crispy fried fish was really good and, when I asked for it extra spicy, they delivered. My everyone else really like their food. The service was really good too. The only thing missing was a really good craft beer. They do have the asian beers represented well(Singha and Chang’s), but a good local draft would be even better — maybe even 5 stars. Check it out!

Delicious! And we no longer need to travel to Winter Haven(where my other favorite Thai restaurant is located), Tampa, or Orlando just to get good Thai food when the craving hits. Located in Lakeside Village in the old pretzel place. Positive, relaxing vibe overall, and our waitress was super friendly. We started with one of my absolute favorites, tom kha gai(coconut chicken soup). So addictive! Great balance of flavors with plenty of fresh, crisp veggies and a decent portion, which is good since we always share. We also tried the Thai spring rolls. Hot, fresh, and crispy, they were tasty. Not the best I’ve ever had, but they were good nonetheless.(I think I’m just spoiled from another place here in town that has the best spring rolls on the planet). I would probably go with another choice if I were to order an appetizer next time, though. The curries we tried were both superlative. Massaman and panang — they were scrumptious and possibly the best we’ve had! Rich, complex and well balanced with just the right amount of heat. A spice tray was provided in case our dishes weren’t hot enough, but we didn’t really need it. I’d say there was a larger amount of protein(pork and chicken respectively) than what is typically served in a curry, but it wasn’t too much. And if Thai hot is requested as the spice level, it does not disappoint. Sadly we left no room for dessert, as the mango sticky rice suggested by our waitress sounded lovely. Oh well, tomorrow is another day — perhaps next time. We are so happy they are here and will definitely be returning. Yum yum yum.

This is our first time visiting, and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the décor is simple yet beautiful. The staff was very friendly, and polite. They place was spotless. I even watched a waitress wash every page of each menu! The food was delicious! The drunken noodles were very flavorful and had a nice kick to them. The tuna avocado salad was also delish and presented very lovely. The vegi cellophane rolls were fragrant with basil and also very good. I also had the Snow White sushi roll, which was presented nicely and tasted great. I will definitely return and recommend anyone to visit that enjoys Asian cuisine!
