This is a must stop for WV State parks. Easily accessible from Interstate 64. During the winter the pond freezes over and people are out ice fishing like something from the scene of a snow globe. Great picnic spot especially at the back portion of he lake where there’s a turn around. This place is covered with WV’s state flower, the rhododendron, which makes for a spectacular sight and walk during the spring and early summer. Enjoy a walk near picture perfect flowing streams, paddle boating, geocaching, mountain biking, and camping.
