We realized our washer had broke while we were on vacation the day we returned and tried to do laundry. Our landlord called this company to come and fix it. A gentleman called me(he never told me his name) and said he would be at the house the next day between 12−2pm. Never received a courtesy call with a more definitive time that day so my 2 small kids and I waited around and he finally arrived at 1:40pm. He had me remove the closet doors where the washer is located(I have a disability with limited mobility on the right side of my body which I explained to him). He removed the front panel of the washer and said the water valve was bad and it was in the back of the washer and he couldn’t pull the washer out of the space by himself. He would call his coworker and see if he could help him but if he was busy then the repair couldn’t be done. He then came downstairs, told me he was going to make the call, and went outside. When he didn’t return after about 10 minutes, I went to check and he left!!! Not a word to me if he reached his coworker, when he would return, NOTHING! So I called the phone number my landlord provided and a different gentleman answered a cell phone. He told me I would have to have someone come over and pull the unit out of its spot before they would even touch it. I explained to this 2nd man that the repair man that was here never came back to tell me that was the final decision. The gentleman on the phone then asked me to hold on and then promptly hung up on me. If the cell reception cut out(which is what he told his boss) then why didn’t he call me back?!? My landlord then called the company to find out what was going on and the girl who answered said she would call her back and to this date… neither one of us have heard a word from them. I am not sure if any money was paid to them to come and look at the washer but the fact that I was given no explanation of the next phase of the plan from the repair man or the 2nd gentleman I spoke to, and the no return phone calls to myself or my landlord shows very poor business practices on their part. I would definitely NOT recommend this company!!! VERYUNPROFESSIONAL!!!

Be careful! He may take your $ 50 and run! He was very good about coming out quickly to do the consultation and gave me a quote on October 20th. I paid the $ 50 that is supposed to be applied to the total amount and he left. My landlord approved the repair and I notified him that he could order the part on October 24th. He asked me to send over a copy of the invoice… as he apparently lost in in 4 days? Either way, the part was supposedly ordered. About a week and a half before thanksgiving I contacted him to check in, as I hosted a large thanksgiving dinner(which is difficult to do without an oven). He said the part was back ordered 3 weeks and would not be in on time… in spite of 3 weeks having already gone by. He offered to have the part priority shipped for a considerable amount of money and I declined, as my part should already have arrived had it been ordered on time. Since that time(November) I have contacted the company several times. They always ask for my invoice and then stop replying. By January they had stopped answering any of my calls and texts… and my oven still does not work. Be cautious about paying for the estimate! Or about hiring this company at all… as I continue to search for a reliable appliance repair company.

Problem with a Samsung French door fridge. Erratic temp behavior and ice forming on freezer bottom(due to ice dam in defrost drain tube). Steve diagnosed the problem as a bad motherboard(correct) and ordered a replacement. I was charged $ 128 for the visit plus $ 39 for the second visit(to install the board) plus $ 150 for the board(they sell online for $ 50 – 75). He snipped the end of the drain tube and said that would fix the icing problem. It did not. Samsung makes a repair kit for the problem($ 8), or you can use a copper wire. I called Steve and he said he didn’t have any time to do it until Spring. I texted him twice, asking for it to be done, even for a fee, but got no response. Mr. Baker is a competent repairman, but does not back up his work, nor respond to requests. Good Luck.

I called Palm Beach Appliance Repair and spoke to Steven. He was very professional and he gave me an estimate time of arrival and was very punctual and he worked fast in fixing my refrigerator and the price was very reasonable. I recommend him. You won’t be disappointed.
