Imo’s Pizza

Horrible service up here, once again please don’t hit the bong before you come to work! I called up to get lunch at 12:34, they said it would be ready in 15mins. I then get up there at 12:59, it’s not ready… Ok I wait another 11 mins. They didn’t get my order right and the breaded boneless wing were absolutely horrible! There was no breading on them as you can see in the picture I added.

I don’t mind the provel cheese, and really like the Imo’s Deluxe pizza.
Friends were visiting the St Louis area for the first time. Needed to grab a bite this weekend, they wanted pizza, we’re in Lake St Louis, and there you go — Bob’s your uncle.
Sadly, that afternoon, this place did not show well. While the counter person was friendly, she apologized for the dining room as they had just been dogpiled by a party or something. Okay. Thanks for the apology … what about cleaning off the tables. At that point, there was only one family quietly sitting in the dining room, and no one else arrived in our hour there. We didn’t see a rush of cars peeling out of the parking lot carrying this large and raucous entourage.
Dining room wasn’t too bad, but cleaning wasn’t a priority. They were busy doing take out, I guess.
Asked for plates. Uh, no clean dishes. Okay. In that hour, one guy came out, shuffled some dishes, and then might have taken somethings back for cleaning, but the room remained largely untouched.
Asked for napkins. Never appeared. Had to reach over the now empty counter to pilfer a handfull. No silverware. No soap in the bathroom. Counter person expressed frustration that she was getting customer calls. Okay, you’re busy, I get it. Usually people are excited to have customers.
May need more staff, or better motivated staff. Not sure. Smiling and apologizing is nice, but the execution on providing a good food experience was weak. So, I will take a pass on this place, as the basic operational stuff that I could see was lacking. What was I not seeing?
