This was my second visit to Zeppo. Went there for lunch with a friend before and enjoyed it, so brought my daughter there today. Unfortunately, we arrived a couple minutes after 2 pm and was told we’d have to order from the dinner menu, no more lunch was being served. We were FLABERGASTED that any restaurant would stop serving lunch at 2 pm! We decided to make the best of it, but since we had breakfast or a light sandwich in mind it was hard to find anything on the dinner menu to satisfy us because it mostly offered heavy pasta and pizza. The meal was disappointing and afterward my daughter was so upset that it ruined our whole day. I’m 67 years old and have never heard of any food place that stops serving lunch at 2 pm. Poor choice on the part of management!

Pros: nice décor. Friendly server. Cons: overpriced(2 entrees, 1 appetizer, 3 glasses of «house» wine, 1 beer, 2 sodas. $ 87). Gnocchi was very good, pizza margherita was bland.

Took my InLaws here for dinner last Friday. Besides my Father In Law having to ask them to come and wait on us after sitting 15 min with no contact from waitress, it was a great experience. The bruschetta was fantastic and everyone liked their meals. Great Happy Hour prices and a lot of options. We will be back.

Absolutely fantastic :-) it’s my favorite place to take myself out to dinner in Lake Oswego. It’s not like the other Italian places I have ever been to. Caprise salad is very good. The desserts were also tasty. The only Complaint I have is why no Terremesu And why no fettuccine Alfredo? I’m not really sure how to spell those things.

So… The coffee was decent. The waitress was icy and never made eye contact with us until I had a problem with the food, then she perked right up and acted sweet, before that she acted like we invading on her personal space. I ordered the garden Frittata, the vegetables came from the freezer and tasted like freezer burn, the potatoes underneath the dried out egg dish were old, cold and tasted like dirt, I think they put the eggs on top of the cold potatoes to warm them, the toast came burnt. I cannot for the life of me understand how they fill their seats, unless everybody in Lake Oswego is used to poor food. Tip~ two doors down is a great French bakery, Yummy!

Good food and friendly service and outdoor seating! For the area, it seems like one of the better spots. They have some fun Italian dishes. My fav is the jalapeño shrimp linguini.

Was very disappointed after reading the positive reviews. A group of friends were celebrating a birthday dinner. First the menu on line was not the current menu so many items were not available. The entre was very watery and vegetables were in huge pieces. Coffee was cold and when we asked for a hot cup, they warmed our existing coffee in the microwave. Service was poor and we needed to ask several times for things. On the positive note, the cocktails were good.

One of our favorite LO spots! Haven’t had anything we don’t absolutely love. Ambiance is great and the service is excellent. The décor is whimsical and the patio is a nice place to eat and enjoy a pretty day. Here’s some specific menu feedback: Great wine if you like spicy drinks check out the specialty drinks. I have a favorite here I think they call it the Afterburner. *brussel sprouts– we crave these! Perfectly crispy and light with a balsamic reduction we’ve been known to fight over the last one or just get a second order * pollo e limone– my go to and somehow they got it on the low carb menu! Super tasty. Light… Creamy… If you are a fan of capers you will love this Wedge– straightforward just a great wedge Calamari– complimented perfectly by the lemon aioli Caprese– light and fresh add some salt and pepper and it’s fantastic Lamb Pasta– Great Capellini– great Pork belly– eh… check. Next ;)

The food is always amazing and our for our visiting foodie friends and relatives this is one of the more memorable places. Our 5 year old even loves it — and that’s not an easy feat. I would not call this a ‘family’ restaurant — it’s rather nice, but it’s also nice that our(well behaved) 5 year old can eat here as babysitting is very rare for us. Our only issues have been that we don’t always get what we order — an appetizer or salad never appears on the table but does on the bill. Never a problem having the issue corrected though.

Fantastic breakfast! Very pleasantly surprised to find something in the ‘burbs that’s on par with our choices out here in NE Portland and pretty similar in cost to boot. I had the pesto benedict and it was HEAVENLY, along with a cappuccino that was very well made. Service was nice — pleasant but not too much, very patient waiting for our little group of friends(who hadn’t seen each other in a while) to get their heads together and figure out what to order, and quick to respond as well. Will definitely return if/when I’m in LO again.

Stopped in tonight for a quick dinner. Nice atmosphere, friendly and prompt staff. They had a busy happy hour going, we were seated quickly. House chianti was good. Cesar salad was very good. I had the linguini carbonara and Randy had the lobster fettuccine. Both were excellent. The portions were really small on enormous plates. Dinner with one glass of wine each was $ 60. Plenty of sauce, another half portion of pasta noodles and it would have felt worth the bucks. Most likely won’t go back, this won’t be a regular spot.

This poor rating is due to an interaction I had with the supervisor/manager, Ashley. I was charged twice for my meal, and called to try to get this resolved. Ashley said that she was having a glass of wine after her shift and said that she’d handle it first thing in the morning. I gave her my info and we ended up playing phone tag for two weeks. I had called and left messages more than six times and when I finally got a hold of her she said that she was dealing with something and that she’d call me back in five minutes. 20 minutes go by, then 30, 40. I call the restaurant again and they tell me she’s in an important meeting and she’d call as soon as she was done. She did call me back, but I can honestly say I wish she hadn’t. She told me that she understood I was upset, but that«this goes both ways»(citing blame on my behalf for not picking up the phone when she’d called me back to try to resolve the issue). She continued to raise her voice at me. I ended up working with the bank to resolve the double charge because her behavior was disturbing. She later texted me apologizing for her actions, which while I appreciate the thought, was incredibly unprofessional. And let’s be real — she was trying to avoid a bad review.

We absolutely loved this place. The ambience and décor is super cool, really relaxing and fairly quiet. The menu has a great selection with something to please anyone, and prices are shockingly low/moderate given the quality. My husband and I took his visiting parents and we were all thrilled with the friendly service and incredibly flavorful, tasty dishes. We all ordered salads to begin and for the entrees — the porcini parpardelle, beef stroganoff, seafood and chicken dishes. Portions are perfect and we were talking about how delicious the food was for the next several days. The happy hour menu looked amazing as well so we’ll be back often to enjoy everything the restaurant has to offer!

I have to write a quick review as I’m surprised they only have a 3 star rating. This place is a solid 4 stars. Sometimes a little hit or miss on service when it’s really busy, but a fantastic happy hour/dinner spot, great location, easy parking, outdoor seating, and some of the best food you’ll find in West Linn/LO.

They do breakfast now and it’s fabulous. We have always enjoyed dinner here and it’s our go to place for late happy hour but we did breakfast for the first time and loved it too. I recommend the risotto cakes eggs Benedict and the veggie scramble. Outdoor seating and they are dog and kid friendly. Wonderful wine list and full bar.

I did not like this restaurant at all ordered quite a bit of appetizers and the hamburger the hamburger had no flavor the french fries that came with it were soggy the risotto cakes they had were fried and so hard I would not take another bite and the Capri C salad was way over salted all in all a very big disappointment and will not be going back here or recommending to friends

As good as it gets for family friendly dining. I cannot say enough good things about how attentive Ashley and the rest of the staff were to us and our 3 children! The food was plentiful and very tasty, the prices reasonable. Lots of choices on the children’s menu and they even improvised a side salmon dish for out fish-loving 6-year old. Wine selection was reasonable and reasonably priced.

Here are what I liked about this restaurant: Outdoor seating, excellent attentive service, accessible free parking. Others that missed the mark. Price: for most part, average for this part of town. But overpriced, or underwhelming salad. Food: I’m little disappointed with the my lunch choice today. I probably should have looked at Unilocaler’s reviews first. They seem to do breakfast pretty well. I ordered their Rock Shrimp Green Goddess with light dressing that they recommended. Taste and presentation was let down. The shrimp on the salad were warm which I enjoyed but entire dish is a two star at best. And what kind of dressing was that? Flavor was barely coming thru. Shredded romaine lettuce, handful of cherry tomatoes topped with quarter of sliced avocado doesn’t quite fit the $ 12 price tag and upscale/trendy ambience of the restaurant. Perhaps my expectation was too high, but why wouldn’t you when there’s so many creative and great way to make it fantastic with abundance of fresh fruits and veggies available in the summer! Based on other reviews, I’m willing to give another try during HH, or breakfast. But I wouldn’t recommend salad items.

Very surprised that this place has only 3 stars, maybe every one is a dumb dumb or I just had a wonderful experience. I had the Farmers Scramble and it was absolutely amazing, eggs cooked nicely complimented by the best breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had, whatever you get make sure you get the potatoes on the side. The staff was attentive and always made sure I had water in my glass after they saw me go hard in the paint with the chalula hot sauce, this place is great for breakfast on a summer day.

Absolutely fantastic place to eat in Lake Oswego. We travelled from the SF bay area for my niece’s graduation from CCC(AA degree and CMA certificate!). I hosted the family graduation dinner here at Zeppo Italian(12 people and 2 large dogs). We came here for lunch with the 2 dogs so we could make sure everything was set for dinner. The tomato basil soup was fantastic! For the dinner service, we were seated outdoors at a long table. It was warm outside so I think the shading of the eating area could be improved(a couple people in our party were under direct sunlight even though the awning was open). Each person ordered something different on the menu and everything was consumed. Best of all, the service was BETTERTHANFANTASTIC !! Including drinks, the 12 of us were in and out of there in about 90 minutes. I have never seen service like that ever ! They added wait staff to help with the tables when needed(bringing water, delivering food). I want to compliment the management on that concept and also ALL of the employees here for their great service and can-do attitude. If you are passing through Lake Oswego, stop here for a meal — you won’t regret it!

I come here a few times a week. I love the atmosphere, style, and professional service. The food is great. I drink there local draft beers which they only have 3 to choose from. they also have a ton of great classic handcrafted cocktails and wines. They have an awesome social hour menu which is there trendy way of saying happy hour. The manager is always on top of things and runs a tight ship. Zeppo has it going on!

This place probably was good for a while when it opened. Overall the place looks nice and has a good vibe. But, after years of being open, you can tell that they just think that people will continue to come as they have an established clientele with limited options. The menu is too large and hence you can tell the quality has degraded. We went with 6 for lunch recently. Half of the dishes were good, the other half were ok and one just couldn’t make it at all. Simple caesar salad first came with hair in it. When it was remade, it came back with a live bug in it. With some work, this place can get better, but looks like new management and a new menu are needed.

I had brunch here with some friends last Sunday, and was favorably impressed with both the food and the service. They have a menu which is sure to please everyone; the expected eggs and pancakes, but also a half-dozen low-carb options. I had the cabbage rolls, which were stuffed with some very tasty sausage and served with a nice tomato sauce. The other adults had the lemon salmon and the olive chicken, and raved about the flavor. They also have a kids menu. The mac and cheese was just okay, both of the tots remarked that it needed more sauce, and I agreed. It was dry and not very flavorful. The service was pleasant and efficient, and our food arrived in good timing, about 15 minutes after we ordered. I recommend this place for a brunch or lunch. It’s pleasant, clean, quiet, and well-priced. I’m a fan.

A lovely experience for Breakfast now! NO idea what all the complaints are??? It’s a quaint place, lovely outside tables. Our waiter was great, french toast good, big fat bacon strips! I live the décor made out of pasta utensils and the ambiance is chill and luxurious, not something you get every day in a breakfast place :). Seems like folks are always happy there. Pssst — go on Sat in summer and take advantage of the Farmers Mkt too!

Epic failure! The only generous rating is a one star because there is not an option! Ruined Mother’s Day after two hours no food no explanation no apology. No manager to explain the problem, or waitress had to keep informing guess that their entrées were gone and they needed to make another selection. After trying to get food twice ordering three times the only thing we got was a basket of bread to help QUIET our baby. Wow Burger delivered in 20 minutes what Zeppo could not deliver in a lifetime. We really enjoyed the food here in the past! However on Mother’s Day? You better pack a lunch and pray you get there before everything runs out because you will sit there for two hours before they come clean and let you know it’s possible you might not get served, disgraceful and poor form!
