My kids and I love to come here for tea and coffee, their chocolate flour less cake is amazing as well as their eclairs, I usually get a grumpy person at the cash register, but the servers are always nice. Great place to come for an afternoon tea.

I was SO looking forward to this, and was so disappointed in the food. While the staff was nice enough, the reviews of «oh this is just like France» I’ve got to heartily disagree with. The one on Thurman is pretty decent but this one, I can’t say the same for. I started with Quiche Lorraine and it was incredibly chock full of pepper so much that you could only trust there was bacon in there by visually looking at it. Along with that, the egg in it was really slimy and the crust tasted storebought(no flakiness). I got a hot chocolate and it was so sugary you could barely taste the chocolate. As a side I got a mini pain au chocolat and there was maybe an eighth of a teaspoon of chocolate in it so of the five or six bites, one had chocolate in it. It also lacked butteriness and flakiness — basically tasted like it came from Costco. I very rarely go to Lake Oswego but next time will go to the Italian breakfast place adjacent that is much, much better. Such a bummer as their NW location gets it right!

Of the sandwiches that I have had here, half have been decent, half have been disappointing. The service is pretty bad. I’ve ordered takeaway three times here. On my first visit, my order was fine. On the second, I had an unreasonably long wait, then they tried to give me my grilled sandwiches straight out of the refrigerated case and send me off without the accompanying salads. On my third visit, I was given the completely wrong sandwiches, despite verbally verifying that they were correct when picking up my order; they again tried to send me off without the accompanying salads, despite me asking for them when I ordered.

Wow! Go here for some wonderful soups, salads, sandwiches and baked goods! All of it is delicious. It’s also located in a prime spot so you can take a walk around the lake after your meal. Very cute. If you find yourself in Lake O on a sunny afternoon(or a rainy day for that matter), check this place out!

Customer Service was atrocious. I was really looking forward to this place and was unfortunately disappointed. I ordered and had a question but could not get one word in as the 3 staff members behind the counter would talk amongst each other. Not even as I approached the counter afterward could I speak with someone. Purposely ignored ! Wow. Unprofessional to say the least. Make sure you hire teenagers that care a little more next time. Anywho, since I ordered kind of rushed and without knowledge, I quickly picked a chai latte and an almond croissant. I’m not sure if hard and crunchy is the texture the croissant should have been but the filling was soft and nice. The chai was a little watery. I would be willing to try another location, but so far not so good.

Nice bakery. First impression — no idea where to order. Finally figured out the system, the cashier was«effective». The wait staff behind the counter were more interested in talking among themselves than engaging. We ordered the quiche Lorraine and frittata croissant, both were tasty, but neither were memorable. The frittata was funky and had an odd texture. The quiche tasted good, but there was only a little bacon in one small section of the quiche. The best past of this breakfast was the baker. He was awesome. Very friendly and engaging. We had a great conversation about what he was working on and baking in general. The best was finding out that he was working his dream job and loved what he was doing. I’d stop back in for some great looking bread, but will probably skip this place for breakfast.

I have been to the other 2 St Honore in Portland. This place doesn’t disappoint. Abundance pastries and very clean. Only thing was cashier needs a little lesson on packaging. Tetris is not his game…

I’ve been to Nw 23 St Honore. This Lake O location is pretty cute. It’s in a fancy strip mall. Lots of windows. Wood and light colors. I’d call it shabby chic inspired. A nice place to sit and talk. Pretty quick service, both in ordering and in receiving food to be made(Croque Monsieur eg). I had a bacon roll, a vanilla caramel macaron and a mini pain au chocolat. The bacon roll was well made but I’m curious, are you just supposed to eat it plain? I took butter(like a regular roll?) but that didn’t taste great. I wondered about maybe a little light cream cheese? Mustard and a tomato? It was okay but left a little to be desired. Macaron… I’m a fan! The caramel part of it was actually caramel sauce. Decadent and light. Pain au chocolat was okay. Buttery and flaky. Overall the food was okay(3?) and the atmosphere was perfect for Saturday light breakfast(5) so I’m gonna give them a 4.

yep, still one of my favorite stops in the Portland area for a light lunch. It was a very nasty, rainy day and we were on our way back home after a short stay in Portland, but had a meeting to attend in the late afternoon on the way home so we decided to grab lunch here. It was the perfect choice. I had the croque madame and my husband had the quiche lorraine(I think that is his go to here). The croque madame was very good and the side salad was perfectly dressed. I heard no complaints about the quiche and as a bonus, we meet a wonderful older gentleman who lives in the area who had also stopped in for lunch and had a great conversation about two of my favorite places… Germany and Seattle.

One of my favorite cafes of all time. Their Bartlett panini is put of this world, and the chauquettes are my favorite baked item ever. Could not recommend more.

Went here for brunch and ordered quiche and a latte on a not so busy Sunday, the quiche wasn’t out in 25 minutes so I asked for them both to go 10 minutes later the quiche comes out without the latte. So I wait… 20 minutes later and I decide it’s not even worth the 5 $ i left. Customer service sucks here

Pretty much go here every weekend for breakfast with my husband and our dog. They do such an awesome job on their croissants– as good(if not better) than what I’ve had in Paris. Love their other treats: salted caramel macaroons, caneles(although they aren’t consistent with these as they are with the other treats), chouquettes, kouign amanns, and chocolate eclairs. All just amazing– love it! Just a note– Lake Oswego has their farmers market on Saturdays which impacts this location both from a parking and line perspective.

We went in. We went out… in less than three minutes. I saw macarons through the door, and as soon as I found out the flavors, I purchased one. It took a while to get help. The two employees were too busy cleaning up for the night. We got there around 7:15, and they closed at 8:00… Anyway, the wait for a greeting wasn’t that bad. It gave us a bit of time to browse. I purchased one macaron. They are $ 2 per macaron, and they aren’t that big compared to other ones I’ve purchased at this price, but I did enjoy the flavor very much. It was so delicious! So, four stars. I’ll have to go back and try more macarons and more desserts! They, also, have lunch, and I wouldn’t mind trying that, as well.

This place should be under the word elegant in the dictionary. The food is great, prices are good, there are places to plug in, there’s a water cooler and the view of the bay is downright fantastic. I had a cane cola and a nibble of their walnut bread, for about $ 3.35 together. The transaction was concurrently quick and friendly. It was nice to eat while viewing a good sight. The bread was made with some honorable skill. It was crunchy, neither too hard nor too soft, with a lightly sweet flavor. Saint Honore is exceptional.

No one should wait 15 minutes for a latte! Even when Saturday Farmers Market creates a bustling line out the door. I got to «enjoy» watching two employees deep in conversation flirting behind the coffee bar, while waiting patiently for my drink. I mean, I get it… I use to be a Barista. It’s fun to chat and you don’t need intense concentration. But when people pay $ 4 for a drink, it’s best not to make them wait so long!

I’m sorry I don’t usually complain, but this place was very underwhelming. I enjoyed some of their pastries in the past(Kouign Amann), but the apricot tart we ordered was so bland. This other almond cookie that my kids ordered was stale and had a bare hint of sweetness. It looked delicious, but didn’t deliver on satisfaction. Their side salads have one dressing. Have the cooks tasted this dressing? It’s a bland mayo and mustard mix of something. Not good. The atmosphere is beautiful, but the food is all show no substance. This is my second time here and it sealed the deal. Sorry St. Honore Lake Oswego.

This café is located in a lovely area and I scored free street parking a few blocks away. Afternoon coffee and conversation in full-swing, I looked for an open table. Arrived for a late lunch and the café was nearly full, one table was available in the corner. You place your order at the counter and take a seat and wait until they call your name. The pastry cases located near the entrance are filled with all kinds of beautiful confections. Although I knew I wanted a Croque Monsieur and started with that. They offer catering. And just for the record, bought one of those cute desserts to go. I will eat here again when I’m in the area.

I went here for the first time and it was standard. I had the French Rivera Sandwich. That was really good. Very filling, but not heavy or greasy. It was very fresh. I also bought an almond pastry for latter. It was very eggy and sweet. It was fine, but I prefer more savory options. The service was fine. Nothing too special. They were busy with a brunch rush. I found the menu confusing. Some things were in a case, others were in the paper menu. I felt like I could have easily missed a big part of the offerings. I wish they had wifi. I would go back for sure, but I have other bakeries I like more.

This French boulangerie is very popular with the Oswego crowd on weekends, but I enjoy eating here during the week. The croissants are delish, and I really enjoy the Petit Dejeuner or «Breakfast all day» items. I have enjoyed the Croque Monsieur and the Pan Bagnat Barbouille. I look forward to working my way through more of the menu. Their breads are also incredible, and I occasionally buy a loaf to take home. Finally, their sandwiches also look great, so you can order one of those to eat in the restaurant or to go. In the summer, many people eat in chairs outside. Good food in a mostly bistro atmosphere.

Gluten and butter, gluten and butter, gluten and butter. In an age of avoiding things that are«bad» for you, oh how I love to have a piece of dough, soaked in butter, baked, brushed with butter, and topped with butter. The pastries, breads, desserts, and treats at St Honore are unparalleled in Portland. From the gâteau, to the choucette, to the kouign amman, or just a plain croissant, you will not find better goodies anywhere in the area. This is authentic French decadence. The foods simply cannot be beat, and they make a mean espresso drink as well. We enjoy sitting at the«bar» area where you can watch master bakers prepare dough for the next trip to the huge brick oven. The whole place has fabulous décor like a French place should be. Outdoor seating in the summer sets you up for a perfect day. Tres bien, St Honore.

Wohoo! As good as it gets! My mom and I had a great experience at this café and I am so looking forward to going here again before hitting the Pine Needle. SERVICE: Order at the counter, take a number, they’ll deliver. Water is self serve. We were able to order quickly and the cashier and waitress were both very pleasant. Food came out lickety split. FOOD: Great! The«Ruben style» Panini, is so good. Perfect blend of meat, bread, and pickled stuff. If you are a salad lover, you will like this place! Healthy helping of lettuce AND toppings, perfectly dressed, with a nice slice of bread on the side. The bleu cheese, candied walnuts, and beets on the beet salad were absolutely delicious. DESSERT: Pastries here are phenomenal. We had a layered chocolate mousse and raspberry bar that was heavenly. Perfect for two people to split. Sorry, did not try coffee or breakfast items. Notes: Accessible, indoor and outdoor seating, good for all types of eaters. Good for groups.

Suzie Q’s Fun Facts: St. Honore’ is a type of French pastry made with layers of pastry, cream filling and sugar-dipped choux(beautiful example from a different restaurant: ). =≅≅≅≅≅≅≅~ After being picked up from PDX by the family(having come from much-sunnier LA), our first stop was St. Honore, overlooking the picturesque Lakewood Bay in Lake Oswego. At about 3 pm on this Friday(Boxing Day 2014), we were surprised to see that nearly every indoor table was occupied. It was a cold and cloudy day, but we were OK with taking an outside table, as the 18-month-old in our party was making a particularly noisy fuss(throwing things, screaming, etc.) The staff at St. Honore couldn’t have been more accommodating. My sister asked for a small cup of milk for the 18-month-old(my niece), and what came out was a gargantuan glass brimming with whole milk. The sandwiches, while not cheap and not freshly made(it looks like pre-made sandwiches in a glass case were simply heated up when ordered), still tasted great, and the staff was perfectly happy to warm them up. I noticed another customer complaining that she had ordered the wrong sandwich — apparently she’d spotted one she wanted in the glass case, but called it by the wrong name. The staff of St. Honore were more than happy to replace the sandwich — AND give her the other one free-of-charge.(I was kind of jealous! Maybe I should have complained, too.) Not sure what it is about Lake Oswego and its French boulangerie/patisseries… reference my review for St. Honore competitor«La Provence»( ) — but I don’t think you can ever have too many of them.

I’m not usually a fan of french food, I feel like the over use of butter and cream is cheating as just about anything tastes good with enough of those two involved. But this place was excellent from the pastries to the sandwiches. Everything was very fresh and the bread selections were plentiful. The workers were cool, we even had a long talk about our shared love of the Adventure Time show(I was wearing my Adventure Time t-shirt). I like the location with dig friendly outdoor seating right next to the lake, very relaxing and fun.
