When I arrived for breakfast, I was the only person in the restaurant. That sat me at a table in the front, right on State Street. I felt like I was on «display». The food and its presentation was okay. I probably wont go back. It has an unusual entrance(shared building) that smells funky.

We went to dinner on the first day of a Social Living Coupon so I very surprised to hear(after we had ordered and the waitress came back 10 minutes later) they were out of spaghetti, salmon, pork chops and penne. The pie selection was pumpkin, pecan, apple or a cinnamon roll. As a chain dinner I expected Denny sort of food and it was. Good variety of choices, breakfast served all day. Service was very good, there were four tables of patrons when we were there. Seating variety is good with table or booth options and packing by the entry door. The food was so-so. As someone else mentioned the brown gravy on the meatloaf I had was just like the package of brown gravy you buy in a packet. The meatloaf was good as was the baked potato and vegetables. Baked potato came with some butter only. Vegetables were steamed without anything on them. Salad was iceburg mix with some red cabbage and dressing of my choice. This might make it as a breakfast an d lunch place but good luck on it drawing any kind of dinner crowd when there are other great restaurants in the Lake Grove area.

We arrived with a group of four to a mostly empty restaurant. The restaurant was clean and country styled. Our waitress was friendly, but we rarely saw her. She seated us took our order and that was the end of it. The food took several minutes to come out. We were starving! As the waitress placed our dishes, we all notice that one person had no food. The order was never put in. ugh… So, three of us ate while the other person sat and waited for her dish. I had the fish and chips. Safe right?. Nope. The fries were tepid… i suspect from sitting in the back for a while. The fish was your frozen come in the box variety. The crêpe was the missing dish. It did arrive later, but it was pretty much inedible. The deli sandwich appeared to be the safest option. The waitress never came back to check on us. Never offered a refill on any of the drinks. I had to hunt down condiments from a table that had not been cleaned up. There was no offer of making amends for the missing order. Very little in the way of customer service. So, between the poor food quality and poor service, I can not recommend this spot when there are much better options in the surrounding area. TIP: There is no bathroom in the restaurant. There is a communal bathroom outside the restaurant and down the hallway that the entire building uses. One stall.

Great food, great service, lots of the food is homemade daily. I will be doing back again and again.

Peach tree is a wonderful restaurant! The food is really good and the staff is so polite. I’ve come here 5 times with my family and friends. I will come here many more times because I just loved it so much! When I brought a couple of friends with me for the first time to the restaurant i was actually kind of nervous not knowing if the food would be good or if my friends would like it because we are usually really picky about our food, but when we first walked in this young lady came and she gave us a polite smile and she welcomed us. she took us to our table and asked if we wanted anything to drink we all ordered strawberry lemonade and it was mmmm… so delicious then she came back asking what we would want to order and I order the one two three and everything was really good! My friends and I were satisfied and we left really happy and everything was very good! I recommend for everyone to come here! This was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had, and I will return!

So my wife and I went in to do something convenient and close by. If you drive by it, you will miss it and have to turn around. When we finally arrived they greeted us surprised. I think they were surprised that we made our way in there. Next. We will take one coffee, and a water for me. They grabbed a cylinder coffee pot off and old table half filled and cold, and delivered it to us. Oh boy!!! Then brought one water for a table for two. What a joke. We started off bad in the begining. Seated next to two young childs screaming. That’s actually pleasent compared to what is to follow… We Ordered Eggs Benedict, French Dip w/swiss side of ranch and onion rings. Asked if we could get one pancake, or a side of french toast??? uuuuuhhh we said how about a biscut? Uhhhh, ok we can do that ??? Meal arrives, as I witnessed our waitress distraught with more flow of customers coming in the restaurant. I see her chomping on food around the corner with her smackers chomping down on what she was devulging on. It was probably our biscuit. Meanwhile she dropped off the food, we asked, wheres the biscuit? Oh yeah she said, Ill be back. I ate my cold french dip. My wife ate her eggs bennie. No check up, no frigging biscut for crying out loud!!! Witnessed the waitress almost checking in with us. And spotted her still mowing down on grub in the back room, coming up front still trying to chomp down the grub she was working on. At lunch time for crying out loud. No aparrent manager on sight. My wife was soooo pissed off that she asked another server for the bill. Cold, some other tables coffee, one water for two people, no friggin biscut, no follow up– no hows it going. No refill on the one water. Cold french dip, skimpy, no meat fo 10.00 bucks. Our bill was 28.65. Eggs ben, frnch dip w swiss & onion rings. Side ranch, coffee for one, ice water for one, no biscuit which i think we got charged for… This place is seriously lacking, and Ill give it a year before there gone… What a dissapointment. No management, no care, although i think the cook cared and tried his best. The rest of the crew were completely underqualified to furnish a simple breakfast experience. Save your money. Make breakfast at home. you will do much better. Or go to Shari’s, Hales or Biscuts. What a joke!!! Didnt even want to ask about there pie! Which there famous for. Didnt want to inconvienence there sorry rear ends anymore!!! Dont do it!!!, Abort!!! Side note from wife;I understand forgetting things, it happens. I ‘m in the restaurant business. But, it wasn’t busy. No return visit from server after she dropped food and went in search of biscuit. No sign of her for the rest of the meal, except my husband seeing her eating. Long wait for bill, which I had to ask someone else for. Had high hopes for a new place for breakfast nearby, but sadley, would NEVER go back TOOBAD.

I really wanted to like this place. We waited months for it to open and I was excited that there was a new diner style restaurant coming into town. I was drooling over the prospect of a chicken fried steak breakfast just walking distance from my house. Then I went in. I was there the first or second day it opened. I ordered my chicken fried steak and couldn’t be more disappointed. The gravy tasted like it came out of the powdered package. The hash browns and eggs were as expected, but nothing special. I figured maybe they needed time to perfect their breakfast recipes, so I waited 5 months to go back. Again I ordered the CFS and again the gravy tasted packaged. The wife ordered an omelet that was less than mediocre topped with jarred salsa and swimming in tasteless cheese. This really is a step down from Denny’s. On the plus side, the staff is very friendly and attentive and the pies are ok.

What a fright house. Walk in and the place reeks of pine cleaner. Beige walls. No discernible character. Except for the completely creepy unshaven, long-haired man, dressed in blue jeans and a hooded jacket, wearing a dirty truckers hat who is wandering in and out of the kitchen and around the tables, hands stuffed in his pockets and watching us eat. Wait staff is checking every three minutes(not an exaggeration) to see if we need anything. Then apologizes for asking so often and asks again. Lurking man is now at the cash register. Are we safe here? Dinner roll arrives nuclear hot. I say«eat it now because it’s been nuked and will be hard in three minutes.» It took two. The food I would classify as bargain basement version of Shari’s menu. The table next to us mumbles something about the check, scruffy scarey man jumps into action. «Did you have a question???» OMG…he’s the manager. How in this economy does anyone have money to invest in and open a place like this in Lake Oswego and then staff it with the cast from Fright Night? Please do not perpetuate the shelf life of this establishment by going there. Let it die a quick, painless death and be an example to investors everywhere — do your research, know your market, offer a quality product and staff accordingly.

The Peachtree Restuarant and Pie House has crossed the mighty Columbia River … into Oregon. While there are other locations in nearby suburban Vancouver WA, this location is in Lake Oswego, and downtown«Lake O» at that. It sits right on State Street. There is sufficient parking, though it is best reached by driving behind Starbucks in the shopping center with Albertson’s, and onto the one-way parking loop. Inside, the place is nicely appointed and very clean. From the front, in sort of a greenhouse type set up of table seating, one sees State Street. From the back, from table and booth seating, one can keep an eye on their car, though one doesn’t need to in Lake Oswego! There are certainly a lot of food choices on the menu, for all three meals of the day. I went in there for lunch and we had chicken and beef entrees. They were good comfort food lunches, with their side dishes, and made for filling meals. The meal became even more filling by adding a slice of pie. The better pie was called«Fruits of the Forest,» and may be seasonal. Also, note that some of their specials require that you follow the«rules» in terms of hours or baseline purchases, but these«rules» are prominently displayed on the menu. The prices were fair. The service was very friendly. I plan on returning.

What could be better than a new breakfast spot at the site of an old dilapidated Chinese restaurant? How convenient could it be to be seated immediately in a nearly empty restaurant on a holiday morning where other restaurants are brimming with hungry customers? How nice a surprise would it be to receive a concoction that tasted like chicken gravy served atop perfectly poached eggs and Egg McMuffin style«canadian bacon,» and to be assured that yes this really is Eggs Benedict, and that the sauce really is Hollandaise sauce. Forget all the experts that will tell you that Hollandaise sauce is made with egg yolks, butter, and lemon juice. These folks shared their ingredient list, and while I can’t reveal their guarded secret, vegetable broth makes theirs a most unique version of this classical dish. Imagine the delight of reading on the menu that your«Eggs Benedict» is served with either hash browns or fruit, but then being charged a 75 cent substitution fee for choosing fruit. All of the above earned them a single star. They earn a second star for the super friendly wait staff and the perfectly cubed pineapple cores in my fruit cup. I have a sudden craving for old dilapidated Chinese food, or at least an old dilapidated Egg McMuffin.

I have been to the Peachtree several times and each time I’ve experienced something different. In the total of three times I have been disappointed only once, and it was simply because they were out of my favorite pie. I think their food is very good, though not the best, but you get a lot for fair prices. The staff is excellent. All of them make you feel very welcome and are more than happy to help you. I’ve been to better places, but I go back, like many, for the staff and the homemade pie(:

I just had to try the new restaurant in Lake O. OMG what a mistake! I arrived about 3:00 pm for a late lunch. There was only one customer in the entire place. I was greeted immediately and seated in a booth. The place looked clean and neat so I had high expectations. The menu is comprehensive and the prices are inline with other local eateries of this sort(Biscuits or Sharis). I ordered the deluxe club sandwich with fries($ 9.99). It arrived quickly and looked appetizing on the plate. Then I took a bite. Oooooo bad: cheap cheese with generic mayo, dry turkey and weird-tasting ham(the bacon seemed OK) but the toasted sour dough french bread was dry. So I tried the fries thinking it would be impossible to screw up frozen potatoes. Oooooo bad: under-cooked and not salted. This was the worst meal I’ve had in Oregon in 6 years and I eat out a lot so that is really saying something. To sum up, don’t eat here if you want good food.

Following a mailed coupon, I was excited to try the new brunch place in town. It took over the old Chinese restaurant Wanfu and has been redone. We were seated in a cute little booth by the window by our über chipper waitress. There’s an expansive menu that included a special section for seniors. Lots of both breakfast and lunch options. Most of them made by scratch. There were also gluten free options for the pancakes and pasta dishes. A got the chicken fried steak and I was about to get the corned beef hash. The waitress sweetly told me that it was from a can if that was OK. She said they had fresh during the holidays. I opted for the cajun skillet with pancakes instead. I thought it was nice she was upfront about it instead of letting me wait to see. We got coffee and she left a full pot, which I love so we can refill our own. The food came promptly and was huge. I literally only ate 1⁄3 of my skillet. The fried potatoes were crispy and it was topped with spices, chicken tenders, cheese, and carmelized onions. My over medium egg was perfectly cooked! Usually breakfast places do it over easy or over hard. It’s my secret test. The pancakes were moist. A’s chicken fried steak was really good and peppery. You could actually taste the cube steak. We didn’t save room for pie, so we’ll need to come back. We were fairly early, but the other side of the restaurant was filled by the time we were leaving. I love how chipper the waitresses were. They were both really nice and made the place feel homey. We’re excited to explore the menu a bit more and happy to have another brunch option in Lake Oswego.
