What can I say… every trip out of town usually requires a trip to the eye doctor. What? Not the same for you? Well, count yourself lucky.
I don’t know what it is about planning a trip out of town but normally the day before I leave something odd happens like I wake up with one eye completely red and unsightly (is that a pun, ’cause it happens to be true).
I don’t know how I do it. One time I got into my first traffic accident in 30 years trying to get here and this time, I was set to leave for a week and the eye was too red to ignore.
Bless these folks at Oregon Eye Specialists for fitting me in at the last minute to check out my conjunctiva which was inflamed. Not true pink eye or conjunctivitis for those keeping score but an apparent unknown cause and/​or malady of the eye.
Dr. Shari Mace saw me on this occasion and was very professional and helpful. She takes her craft seriously and assisted me with a prescription that she found a sample for and gave to me as it saved me a trip to the pharmacy when I was running late to pack for my trip, etc.
I will be forever grateful for the care I get out of these folks each time I visit and particularly during crunch times when I’m out the door.
Thanks again and I’ll be back.
