Portland, OR
Oregon deserves the Journey Home sculpture. It depicts salmon, just like a similar engraving at the big zoo. There is lots of color, without being overwhelming, nor being corny. It is a beauty comparable to a well designed toy, and this certainly is well designed.
The riverfront is why I saw this. After getting off my bus, but before entering the plaza, I was stunned. Portland, with so many riches and an art tax on top does not have this. I was looking at the blue and green with a sense of maritime adventure.
Journey Home would be a good desktop computer background.
