Great cozy place to grab some food with a Mediterranean spin. Lunch time waitresses and the big bartender guy here are also easy going and fun to chat with. It doesn’t hurt that there’s a frozen custard place right next door. Lunch prices are really great too.

Well, this was the second time I came here and I can officially say this place gets an F for fail. Service was lagging big time. The menu was a uninspiring and the food was just edible. Not to mention that we weren’t sure if it was a family restaurant, a sports bar or a mediterranean restaurant.
I felt sorry for the server because she was trying but had no support from the manager/​owner who obviously didn’t want to be there. The food came and I don’t know and it was like I said, just edible. We thought we’d play it safe with burgers and chicken wings but we couldn’t over how blah everything was. I hate to be so critical but come on people, at least try or pretend you’re trying. Definitely not worth it.

Great burger and fries. Dessert was very yummy! Can’t wait to try more dishes. Service was both friendly and fast, with some good recommendations… even the coffee was hometown and delicious. Oakland Univ discount was a bonus!

an afternoon stop to watch the tiger game. a WIN at that! good service. quite a few televisions to view game. had cheese stick appetizer. was good friends had humus, plus burgers. no complaining was heard. fair prices. bet it gets busy at night.

Great food, great service, great place! I will definitely be coming back with more of my family! And yes we had to wait a couple minutes for service but it was busy the night we were there. Yes the foods a little pricey but overall the restaurant is a good place to have your family eat!

From their Mediterranean dishes to their burgers, I have never had a bad meal at Parkside Bar & Grill. They usually have some sort of steak special on Saturday, and they do an excellent job cooking the steak to order and infusing the meat with some truly delicious grill flavors. The wait staff is always very friendly and fast.

Really yummy! Didn’t know what to expect, but it was really good. Glad we took a chance, since they are relatively new. Husband had the fish and chips, kid had the wings, and I had the hummus wrap with falafel. All really good. Fries were really good! There is a diner feel, but it’s swanky enough to be a date place too.

First time here today kinda stayed away cause of the reviews but decided to give it a chance today. Its so close to home. Had the burger fries and beer but you can get a soft drink for 6.99 on Mondays. Burgers was good and seasoned well and juicy and fries where ok and where kinda skimpy maybe cause of the special idk. Will give it another chance since its so close to home. I would say go better than most burgers around and good deal for what it is.

We decided to give this place one more try since some time has passed since they 1st opened. We ordered Hummus and their Shawarma plate… we love, love, loved it. Very different take, but delicious! Great beer specials as well!!! Seems like they updated some of thier menu items as well… I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family and suggesting the Shawarma plater!!!

I was a little hesitant to try this place since the reviews left much to be desired. I have to say though that I’m glad I gave this place a shot. Went with a friend from Lake Orion who was also happy with the place. I got the Monday special — $ 6.99 for a burger that was very juicy and well seasoned plus fries and a pop or beer. I decided to get a different beer but was still very happy with the prices — $ 5 for a 23 oz Blue Moon is a tough price to beat. The place was also very clean and attractive. Definitely worth checking out. Any new restaurant needs time to find its rhythm.

Didn’t stay long enough to eat. Took 5 minutes to be seated. The waitress came over immediately and she was very polite but when I saw the $ 15 chicken Mac and Cheese I decided to wait to order a drink. The menu wasn’t very exciting and the other guests weren’t really eating their food; they were just stabbing around their plates which makes me wonder about the quality of the food. I might be back if I hear something good but I don’t expect to.

Give this place a chance, you will not be disappointed. We were here on a Friday night, service was fast and nothing was forgotten. The fish was fresh from Lulus fish market in Oxford — delicious. The special included fried shrimp and fish. Our server, Nichole, went beyond my request to substitute one piece of fish for the shrimp as I am very allergic. The manger even came to the table and offered to pan sear the fish as the fish and shrimp were prepared in the same oil. Now that is looking out for your customer. Every request was met with a «yes» from the fish to horseradish that I requested to spice up my tarter sauce. The vegetable soup was delicious as was our main course. Very nice atmosphere — we are so glad that the Parkside Grill opened their doors so close to our home — we will definitely be back.

I agree with the other reviewer; service was slow, at best. The food was not that good. I ordered the French onion soup, it came out quick, which surprised me, as French onion takes a bit to melt the cheese on top. The cheese on this taste burnt and not melted through. I think they just put a torch to the top. Not a good choice. We also ordered the sliders — the buns tasted stale and burger was dry. Just because you put food on a fancier dish, doesn’t make it good food. My daughter ordered mozzarella sticks, which were warm, not hot. She said they were not that great, and probably wouldn’t come back to eat here, because of the food and service.
The only item I ordered that was decent, was the cocktail I ordered. Keep the bartender and train the waitstaff!
Not a place I’ll be back to. To bad, because I think the location is perfect as there are no other restaurants in the immediate area.

Ok. Trying to be kind since this place just opened up. On the positive side:
. Great to have a nice place close to our house
. Very nice inside and out
. Nice variety of entrees
. Blonde brownie was great
. Fish and chips good but I say clansman’s f&c were better
. Manager and waiter were quick to correct errors and apologetic. Even comped our dessert.
On the negative side
. Waitress took 20 minutes to come to our table and they were not busy
. Lost our food order
. Salads took forever to get to the table
. Gave up on the waitress coming back to take our payment.
Felt we were generous and still gave her a 15% tip! giving her the benefit of doubt due to startup woes… but next time will expect more.
