I have been here quite a few times. The service is generally not friendly. There have been a couple of really sweet servers but as a restaurant manager the experiences I’ve had here are unacceptable. Multiple times have I received burnt hash browns or patiently waited for a drink refill. To be pushed out receiving the bill not even two bites into my meal. And as soon as my bill is laid down, our server goes MIA. Never once have I been asked for a desert upsell. My husband and I are desert people and we have not ordered it once here because no one has offered or suggested it. Today I found a long black hair in our hash browns and the server who took the dish away(not our original server) never apologized or said anything reassuring. Then she placed the fork that was on the«hair» plate, onto our plate of French toast that was perfectly fine and now we cannot eat. Then they expected us to pay for this. When we left and they finally comped the entire meal, no «sorry» or any apology of any sort was said. We left our VIP card they had just given us. We will not be back again and I am very sorry about that. BTW, where is the manager? I never see one.

Horrible! Just paying for a bad experience and food poisoning if you go to this Leo’s.

Don’t come here on a Sunday or when it’s busy. The service is terrible. Food is mediocre and you get the toast after you have eaten your eggs.

So there are a lot of Leo’s restaurants in the Detroit area. This one(as well as the Clarkston one) have specials! Leo’s is one of those places you go because you need to eat. Nothing too fancy. And not fast food. Their menu has the standard coneys, gyros, pita sandwiches, etc. here’s my favorites for all Leo’s: Greek salad: they sell a lot so you get nice fresh lettuce. Dressing is light and refreshing. Get a larger size than you think since the price difference isn’t that much! I get the chicken on it which is a grilled chicken breast. Coneys: must have. Soft bun. Not healthy. But you knew that. Fish and chips: it’s made in house and not from some distributor. I would get chili added to the fries. Breakfast: anything in the menu except for corned beef hash. I like the ones with fresh chopped corned beef, which they don’t have. Finally, why did I give an average diner 4 stars? Because of their specials. Every day they have other options. Today it’s chicken pot pie, walleye, grilled salmon, whitefish, etc. Nice to mix things up. Great place for the family. Won’t need to take out a 401(k) loan to pay for it either!

I love Leo’s Greek dressing, chicken lemon rice soup, chicken finger pita, chili fries, chicken kebob and their ranch dressing all of which are reliably tasty. The service at any location in this metro area chain is all over the place. After half a dozen visits to this location we’ve vowed not to return; each time the service has been disappointing. It is the food that has earned them 3 of my stars.

Average food. Good prices but not really tasty. Good service, but probably not coming back again.

This has been my Coney Island of choice for the past year. Initially I enjoyed the great service and good food, especially their local menu that was unique of most Coney Island. However, the service has rapidly declined since my first few visits, with this final visit as my last. I stopped for lunch mid day when there was few customers, the wait staff well exceeded the people being served. Upon sitting, the waiter asked what I wanted to order. I hadn’t even opened my menu yet and asked for more time. She returned 3 more times to take my order, with less than 2 mins between each time. I later learned she wanted to take her lunch, after she presented my bill while delivering my order and sat down to eat with her friends in the back in the restaurant. I obviously did not receive any more service the rest of my stay. During that time, I witnessed several customer walk in and sit. They were never greeted and eventually walked out after 10mins of receiving no service. This happened twice! A few of the customers had to walk to the counter and ask for service. Meanwhile, the wait staff(very young) were laughing and carrying on in the kitchen, with a few arguing across the restaurant. I have never witnessed such poor service! It is a shame. This was a great restaurant and its sad to see it go down the drain due to such terrible service.

Every single time I go here there is some sort of problem. 2 stars because I do love Leo’s spinach pie, but this location… Even ordering carry out, I had issues. The waitress at the desk fought with her register for about 8 minutes before even acknowledging me, then when I told her my name she said«(my name)? We don’t have anything for(my name).» Turns out they did when she checked but still. The second time I went, I had to show the waitress the menu to prove the spinach pie dinner comes with pita, and the third time they charged not only the ridiculous price of $ 1.99 for coffee, but they charged that for EVERYREFILL! The gal at the register said that’s what they do when I said something about it. Since it’s my closest Leo’s, I will only be going here when I have a strong craving for spinach pie and don’t feel like driving to great lakes crossing.

Service wasn’t what I was expecting for a Leo’s location. Came in on Sunday evening around 7 pm with the restaurant about 25% full and it took 10 mins for a server to come by welcome me and take my drink order. There seems to be a sufficient number of servers, so what’s the hold up. When I finally was welcomed no apology for the wait was given. Giving this review while I wait for my food.

The atmosphere at the Lake Orion Leo’s is great. The layout of the restaurant is pleasing the eye and the chairs and booths are comfortable. I love that you get to seat yourself, which means that my father and I get our special corner booth away from the rest of the diner almost every time. A few TV’s are placed throughout the diner and it looks quite nice. Onto the waitstaff — I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a bad waitress while eating here. Sure, some were better than others, but none were bad. I love that. However, I’ve been in there a few times when they were closing early(holidays) and they started cleaning before they were closed, which was awkward because I couldn’t hold a conversation without having the feeling that I was being eavesdropped on. The food is nothing special. That’s not to say that it’s bad, because it isn’t, but it IS a diner, so don’t expect 5 Star quality food. Occasionally I’ll order something and it’ll be greasy, but not that often. Leo’s is a diner and has diner quality food. Price is good, and the coupons I get for them are phenomenal — the biggest reason I eat there so often. Sometimes we’ll get entire free meals! Today, I ate there and there was a woman making balloon animals and face-painting. My father and I chit-chatted with her while she made us a balloon dog and it was very cool. Overall, Leo’s is a great diner. I’ve never once had a bad dish. Some were better than others, but mostly, it’s consistent.

Food was good. Service was good. Atmosphere was ok /typical for a coney. Why 3 stars? Well, ½ through the meal my 6 year old granddaughter needed to use the restroom. There was just the two of us. I had finished eating. She hadn’t. So I asked the busboy to be certain our table was not cleared. He said, ‘sure, no problem’. Then we walked by the waitress so I said the same thing to her. She also said, ‘sure. I will be sure’. The restroom has 2 stalls and 6 people that needed to use it so the wait was painful. But when we returned to the table, everything was gone. The busboy was right there so I asked him and he blamed the other busboy. Then he shrugged and said, «sorry». Sorry? That’s it? So I went to the front register. The manager was there. I told him what happened. He offered to remake her meal but I declined. So he also said ‘sorry’ and rang up what I ate. The waitress was the only one that was truly sorry. So she still got a tip. I think the manager should have been a little more sympathetic. You could tell this happens often and they don’t really worry about it. We probably won’t stop here again next time we are in the area. We will try one of the other many, many spots along the way! SO if you go here and leave the table, post a sign ‘not done-do not touch’ cause otherwise, it is open water!

Us 3 went here it was a great experience and our second Leo’s. This restaurant lives up to the reputation I would highly recommend any of the sandwiches, also the saganaki(Greek flaming cheese drizzled with lemon juice) did also not disappoint. The service was great the waitress accidentally got an order wrong but quickly apologized and got the correct meal swiftly and let us keep the accidental salad. Throughout the meal the 3 of us laughed and joked in a semi quiet environment. Are food arrived at the right time leaving us time to engage in small talk but not too long as to keep us starving. The place was clean in all parts. Overall we had no issues and would gladly come back again anytime.

All three of us are puking our guts out after eating there tonight. I think we got food poisoning. Update: The food poisoning was horrendous. I wanted to die. I did file a complaint with the health department, but they charge you money for the results, so I’ll never know. However, in talking to others, it’s happened to several people who ate there. I will never go back, even if the food was free.

Tis place needs to change ownership or management. The management is yelling at the waitresses and the waitresses appear nervous and afraid. The food is fair but the atmosphere is intolerable. The male managers seem to stalk the waitresses and the chubby lady at the register seems to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the madness. She must have traded her ethics in for a minimum wage job. Seek elsewhere to eat.

This is by far the best Leo’s I’ve been to. Yummy food and very nice waitstaff, especially the cute little red head who waited on me last week… she was very helpful! I order carryout once a week and the manager Abby is just great. This Leo’s is the cleanest, fastest, and tastiest(dinner specials). I will continue to come back if things remain as good as they are now.

Being a diner, I wasn’t expecting much. Just a breakfast on a lazy Sunday morning. It was a seat yourself kind of place. The décor, sparse. The waitstaff, nice, but not friendly. I ordered the feta, spinach, and tomato omelette. No flavor at all. I had to put quite a bit of salt on it to make it into something. The bf got his usual. 2 eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, and toast. No complaints out of him, then again, he would probably eat shit on a stick and say it was delicious. The bill was typical, $ 14 for everything. Hated paying for something that I didn’t really enjoy. I won’t be back here for breakfast, that’s for sure.
