The owner was in a big hurry to have us in and out. We were given stencils to use on the canvas for our painting. It turned out to be more of a paint by number than a traditional freehand art class. Little instruction was given instead canvases were taken out of people’s hands and repainted by the owner. We were told to get going as we were taking too long to stencil our canvases. The brushes need to be replaced as the bristles were falling off into our paint. The owner was complaining about the cost of everything and made us feel bad for asking for extra paint or napkins. She was in a big hurry to take everyone’s finished picture to post onto Facebook. I have been to one other painting class and it was not run like this, it was done freestyle and the other place painted along with us the entire time. The owner here painted one small example on a sheet of paper of how to do something and that was basically it. I would not go back. I hesitated writing this review but ultimately decided if she knew what was hurting her business she might want to start with making people actually paint instead of stencil with pencil their projects, add instruction the entire time on an easel to show how to paint (that is why you go to the class) and not complain about how much your inventory costs you or that people are taking too long. I can paint by number at home. Every time I look at one of her Facebook posts I think did she have all these people stencil their projects too?
