A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. The guide was exceptionally patient and friendly with us, and we truly appreciated them taking us up the hill even though it was a slow, gray day and they had thoughts of closing early. I had only been on a horse once before, so they took great care to make sure I was comfortable in the saddle and with the reins before we set out. Granted, it was as much for the horse’s benefit as my own, but the bottom line is if I can do an hour in the saddle up and down the hilly trail, almost anyone can. Would highly recommend this place for a safe, relaxing ride.

Great time! Great family fun. It was very relaxing and fun. Nice scenery ride through the Adirondack Mountains and a great view of Lake George. A bit costly but worth the money. We have no experience riding horses but they made it easy for us to do so. We did the one hour ride($ 50 each person) not knowing if we would last the ride. Wish we had gone longer. The staff were very nice and at the end offered to take our picture with our camera before we dismounted the horses.

My family saw this place as we were driving around the lake and thought it would be cool to stop. A little bit of a wait, but you get to ride on a trail for 1 hour! My family loved it. A bit pricey though, at $ 50 a person

Although I haven’t been here in yrs I wanted to write a review since I just wrote a negative 1 about another horseback riding place. I use to go here every summer prob for about a decade, I prob haven’t been here in a decade but when I went I had a lot of fun&was always a positive experience, they also gave the horses well needed breaks&took care of them which is unlike the last place I went, the only negative 4 me is I had to wait which as a kid I thought the horses should be ready to go in 5 min yup impatience, doubt I’d ever b around the area again but if ever I would love to come here again, all the pple who worked there were so nice to me&my family, they knew us frm coming up every summer, I’ve prob been to about 4 horseback riding places total&i only had a negative experience with 1, all the ones upstate I liked but this was my fav just cas I use to go here all the time as a child.

What a great stable! The staff and leads are friendly and knowledgable. They really take the time to find the right horse for you and consider your experience. Nick, our guide was exceptional. We really had a fantastic time and the entire trail has beautiful views. unlike another nearby stable that has beautiful views only if you take a two hour trail ride. Well worth your time and money. Also, go early. It gets full fast.

Day started as a drag due to the crabby mean old lady(said she ran the place) at the front register… A pony ride is a pony ride, customer service is what brings people back, FAIL!

I have some experience with riding but not enough to qualify as expert. Our group of 3(me, my sister, my mom) all were paired with horses that fit us perfectly. My big lug, «John Wayne» was a draft mix(yes, I’m on the larger side) and I couldn’t have been happier with my mount. He was well behaved with a little attitude which made it fun. April, our guide, was engaging and very personable. We had a great time with her. For those who are expecting to canter or even jog much, this is not the place for you. You are taken up a hill and get some great views of the lake, but there are very few opportunities for your horses to do more than walk. Still, it’s a great ride with some beautiful scenery. We felt it was well worth the $ 45. There are also pony rides for the small ones.

1 hour guided trail ride thorugh the mountains. $ 45 pp plus a tip to the guide. The guide it willing to let the horse trot if you want. This was our second time here and we weren’t disappointed.

Great place for pony rides. We took our 5-year-old daughter for her first pony ride. We were very happy with the place and our guide. The price($ 10) was right and it’s location is only a few miles north of the village.
