Found this restaurant from Unilocal!Based off the reviews of some of the other restaurants we tried this place out and was very happy that we ate here as we were so Hungary! The Adirondack Grinder was the best sandwich and everyone wished they ordered it instead of what they got The French Dip was good, not crazy about the dipping, it was missing something but table salt and pepper helped a little… I give 5 stars because all in all the food was good, friendly service and inside was very cozy log cabin type with a moose on the wall! Only thing the kids didn’t like was — No ReFills!

We come to Lake George about twice a year and make it a point to eat here each time. Service is friendly, food is good with large portions and the prices are decent. You’ll probably have a wait on a Friday night but all in all I’d recommend the place to anyone.

Since buying a home in Lake George we have eaten here quite a few times. We have yet to be disappointed. The food has always been excellent and the service friendly. Expect to wait to be seated if you come at dinner time on Friday and Saturday evenings. If you do decide to eat here the portions are always ridiculously large so bring your appetite. Prices are reasonable for the area. Remember your in a tourist spot. They always have specials on the board. Our favorite has been the Adirondack sandwich. Their burgers are also excellent. Great pub food. Believe me you won’t be disappointed.

I am going to give them 3 stars due to the fact that we did not have many choices in December. More than half of the restaurants were closed and our first and second choices were also closed Monday and Tuesdays. We were in Lake George on a Monday. We had nachos, stuffed shrimp, and stuffed mushrooms and baby back ribs everything was below average to me but edible. The service was very good

This place is a gem! The food is great, mostly pub food with dinner specials intermingled on the menu and the special board. A relaxing, cozy rustic environment, and very affordable! We will be back.

Great meal and excellent service. Two of us had linguine with red clam sauce. Another had the shrimp. The 4th had hot turkey sandwich Everyone praised their dinner. The wine and beer selection was basic but good. They give a good pour for a good price

This is perfect spot right of the highway. We were traveling home from Lake Placid and this was a perfect spot about 4 miles off the highway, and we stopped and got gas on the way back to the highway. Forget the McDonald’s, drive to this place. I had a cheeseburger with homemade fries. So good. Cooked just how I like it– medium well. The water wasn’t good, tasted funny, so I got a Saranac Root Beer. Brian had the chicken tender wrap with homemade kettle chips and macaroni salad. The macaroni salad was great and so were the chips and wrap. The food was really good. So was the service. It was under $ 25 for us. That’s a bargain. It kept us full for our 6 hour trip home. It is literally off the main road up the hill a little, we almost missed the turn but we didn’t. Keep an eye out as you get closer.

Excellent Irish Pub food. Burgers are ½ pound Angus Beef. I ate an incredible French Dip sandwich. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing. This is not a tourist dining spot. It’s well off the main drag even though not far from town. Well worth the drive. We dined here on our last night in Lake George. Had we found it sooner, we would have eaten every meal here!

Best food in the lake George area! Compares to Long Island restaurants by far! My kids loved it and I loved it! We had the southwest poppers(amazing!) the Irish nachos(omg) the French dip and the Reuben. Were to die for! Prices are soooo reasonable!

Good family restaurant at an affordable price. For the price and service I give this place 3.5 stars. Oriental salad was very good and my son said his burger was excellent– one of the best he has ever had. The Canadian Mounty sandwich was decent but not great.

Cozy rustic interior with lots of fine taxidermy displays. Just what I was looking for on a cool fall day Lake George! Great hot sandwiches. I got the grilled chicken with Canadian bacon on it – switched out the potato roll for grilled rye. It was so satisfying. Paired with sweet potato fries, it hit the spot. I heard the potato skins are amazing — will have to try those next time. If I’m in the area again I would look forward to coming back to eat here.

This is by far the best find in the Lake George area. We happened upon it via the Entertainment book, otherwise we would never had found it just outside the Village. Upon entering we were cheerfully greeted and quickly seated, and just as quickly had a drink order in. Good selection of micro brews, and inexpensive. Local brews were excellent. We opted for the house special sandwich, mile high corned beef & a corned beef rueben, one sweet potato fries the other regular fries. When they came, not only were they huge, but the quality of the corned beef can only be matched by Gershon’s in Schenectady — it was that good. Toasted bread was very good too. I looked at the other food coming out & portions were large too. This was a by chance find, but will now be our regular stop when in the Lake George area. This place is sooo good I probably should have kept it to myself, but it was such a friendly happy place, especially the bar area, you have to go there for yourselves. Inside & outside seating, mix of families and couples.

Try to visit Lake George every year and this time we found a new place to eat. The Olde Log Inn was small, clean and the food was great as well as our drinks. The service was friendly and we will definitely go back next time we visit.

Wow– Just wrote a whole bunch of stuff about this nice place — too many paragraphs to type all over again! I’m PISSED– when I clicked on the«post» button, it was all LOST… poof! I’m not typing all of this all over again!!! IN A NUTSHELL: I ate here last weekend during a get-away up North to have some mid-Winter fun with my hubby and two nice friends who are locals to the area. If you’re in the Lake George area, go to The Olde Log Inn if you’re hungry, looking for good food, served right, with reasonable prices in a clean, rustic atmosphere!
